We strive to ensure a smooth and timely start to your adventure, though external delays can occur. If that happens, you will be updated on the day. One day before the activity, we may adjust the pickup time for your convenience.

Daria was a fun and informative guide and mostly timed the hike to suit everyone’s pace. The views are unreal and it surely helps to have a guide as the path sometimes forks into different directions and there aren’t well marked directions. I did get slightly left behind as I wandered off with a fellow visitor on the tour to click photos of a rather picturesque viewpoint, but I was able to locate the group shortly after. I am hoping they saw me and proceeded as they felt it was unlikely I would get lost lol - however, it would have been helpful for them to wait for us or rather give us instructions on bow much time we had to spend at each viewpoint. Thankfully we both found our way back but would have been nice for them to wait for us had something untoward happened. But overall it was a great experience and the vjews are to die for!

We had a great time and hike with Martha. The views are amazing, and the path is safe if you follow it and listen to your guide. There are some climbs and descents but you can do it if you take your time. Worth the time!

Amazing scenery.

The hike itself is amazing on a clear day. Views along the way are incredible. Pickup was prompt and accommodating. As a slower walker I can confirm I prefer self guided walks vs walking at a faster than comfortable pace. As the path is rocky, being mindful of your steps is key. I feel fortunate to have experienced the island away from the clusters of people.

This is the best hike I have ever experienced in Madeira! The biggest reason I came to Madeira was to see the Ponta de São Lourenço, and this hike fulfilled and even surpassed all my expectations, it was totally perfect! I've decided that every year I come to Madeira, I will sign up for the hike again. For me, this hike was easier than the Levada Rabacal and the 25 Foutains hikes because there wasn't as much downhill. Before joining the hike, I was worried that the beach would be cold because of the strong sea breeze, but in fact it was the complete opposite! Even though it was December, it was hot along the route once the sun came out and there was no sea breeze, so it was important to bring a hat and good sun protection. Don't worry about going to the toilet, the guide will take you to a pub before the official start of the hike, and there is also a small restaurant where you can pay 1 euro to go to the toilet and have a refill of drinks when you get to the highest point of the hike.

Dramatic but safe coastal walk

Thanks to Nuno and Carlos who made it a very pleasant and enjoyable day out along the sunny and dramatic eastern peninsula. A very safe and moderate walk at a steady but not fast pace with some ups and downs. You can see both north and south coasts. We finished ahead of schedule so had time to do other things later in the afternoon. At halfway there is a café with picnic tables selling snacks and drinks. 1 euro for the loo.
