The tour was on a mini bus which is much more comfortable rather than on a big. The driver Renatou( sorry if spelt wrong)was very chatty and told us s lot of interesting things. I recommend this tour😊.

We had an amazing day and the driver and guide Lionel did a great job to tell us all about Madeira. He was easy to understand, had a great sense of humour and really made our day. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone

The driver and our guide safely brought us to some interesting places of eastern Madeira. Although we didn’t visit all the places mentioned in the description (Camacho Parish Church and Fortress of Faial were missing), we did some other stops that weren’t mentioned in the description, as of example the visit to the Statue of Jesus Christ or the Rum Factory.
The explanations (bilingual) of our guide were very detailed and interesting and the rests sufficient for taking photos or simply enjoying the nature.
One minus point for the comfort in the minibus: the seat belts were super strong and not easy to fasten (no movement possible after closing them) and the windows were very low so that you could hardly see anything or enjoy the countryside.

We did see a few interesting sites, but because it was raining, some places were not visible. Our driver did well driving the very difficult route, but we felt that for that money we should have received more information at the sites. The trip is overpriced.

First and foremost, our driver and tour guide, Renato Rodrigues, drove the tour van SAFELY throughout the tour, especially when the road and weather conditions, and bad driving of other drivers, suddenly created hazardous driving conditions. Sustaining such superb skill level at the steering wheel throughout a full day tour is an essential qualification that can not be taken for granted in the challenging road and weather conditions encountered in Madiera.
Meanwhile, Renato conducted the tour and his fluent conversations with everyone on the tour in BOTH Portuguese and English! Hence, everyone on the tour understood it. Our tour guide greeted each passenger with a radiant smile and engaged them with a friendly personality that kept them interested in his presentations that balanced a blend of history and humor.
When my wife took this tour, she had impaired mobility because of major orthopedic surgery several months before it. I appreciated the wonderful way that Renato ensured that she and each of the other passengers embarked and disembarked the van SAFELY.
I am pleased to recommend the East Side tour to Madeira tourists, and especially if that tour is led by Renato Rodrigues.

We were picked up exactly on time by our guide, he was friendly, funny and very knowledgeable, all of the stops were just the right amount of time and we were shown some stunning scenery and some very special places. He was a very safe driver and we felt relaxed and confident with him. All in all we have no negatives to share it was an all round positive experience, the tour was extremely well organised and superb value for money, we cant thank you enough.

One criticism. The tour advertised traditional wicker basket making at Camacha, but when we got there, the guide said that it had stopped during covid and not restarted. Coupled with rainy weather, the last third of the tour was a washout.

Wonderful trip with an excellent guide. We were introduced to beaches, forest, desert, mountains and agricultural land all in a few hours. Renato was so knowledgeable about the fruits and vegetables we passed, pointing out specimens. Scenery from the viewpoints was stunning too.

Renato and Gabriel really went out of their way to make this a fun and informative tour. Their enthusiasm was boundless and it made the whole day a memorable experience. We learned so much about the island, its vegetation and its culture. Some of the scenery was amazing. They found us a good lunch spot too.

We enjoyed the tour very much. We managed to see the highlights from the eastern half of the island in a single day. The tour was made all the more pleasant by our guide Duarte who gave us interesting information about the sights we visited, drived carefully and was patient with us while we were taking pictures. There was only one family of three with us, which made the tour even nicer. We were also satisfied with the restaurant where we stopped for a lunch break.

Es hat alles prima geklappt. Notgedrungen auf englisch statt deutsch, wir haben alles verstanden.
Die Guide hat ständig Informationen gegeben, besser geht es nicht. Ab und zu uns Gäste mit " Testfragen" aktiviert, fanden wir gut .
Auch die Tour selbst wies Spitzenziele auf und war gut getimt.
Das Wetter meinte es auch gut mit uns, Glück gehabt.
Volle Weiterempfehlung.

Der Guide hat viel interessantes über Madeira erzählt. Er hat uns sicher durch den Tag geführt. Die Haltepunkte sind gut gewählt und auch die jewilige Aufenthaltsdauer ist ausreichend.
Trotz herausfordernder Wegstrecke und Verkehr fuhr Lino durchweg umsichtig. Die Abholung und der Rücktransfer waren wie vereinbart.
Mit diesem Guide eine empfehlenswerte Tour.

Der Bus war sehr bequem und mit 8 Leuten eine kleine Gruppe. Wir haben ein paar schöne Aussichten genossen und Örtchen gesehen. Insgesamt war es uns aber zu wenig und die Pausen zu lange. Der Fahrerguide war langweilig, ratterte seine Erklärungen zweisprachig runter. Insgesamt hatten wir uns von der Tour mehr versprochen.

João war ein wirklich toller Guide, er war ein wirklich sehr ausführlicher und sehr netter Guide und hatte immer eine Antwort zu unseren Fragen. Er hat uns viele tolle Überraschungen in den Tag eingebaut. Wir fühlten uns sehr gut aufgehoben. Leider war das Wetter nicht berauschend aber trotzdem toll, ab und zu hatten wir den Eindruck im tiefen Thailand zu sein. Einfach einzigartig. Wir haben eine Korbfabrik, und Rum-Fabrik besucht und ganz viele tolle Aussichtsorte! Zu empfehlen!
