Top Funchal Whale Watching

Great tour very busy we stood at the front of the boat which was a good shout cause we had the best views of the whales and dolphins. They stopped for a short swim then back home just beware if u stay at the front of the boat as the waves can come over the front a few got soaked 😂😂 but apart from that the crew were great and very informative

Definitely book this catamaran trip, and don't book with anyone else. We watched as the other Funchal charter boats loaded clients on like cattle. Every boat had so many people on it, it looked like there was no place left to sit. Our experience with VIPDolphins, however, felt comfortable and classy. The boat is posh, and the staff is wonderful. But setting the maximum number of occupants at 17 is what makes this trip worth paying a little extra for. Unlike on the other boats, there is ample room for every guest to spread out, lie down, see wildlife, and move around. If you are looking for a snorkel, whale-watching, or sunset cruise, this is the company to choose in Funchal. Absolutely worth the little extra money.

Fantastic couple of days touring around this island. On day one we had Gloria who took us around the eastern side of the island, and on day two it was Lionel. We had a mixture of languages in the minibus and the guides switched effortlessly between languages to ensure everyone understood everything they were explaining and describing. The tour guides were very knowledgeable, friendly and funny, and both catered excellently to me as I was using my walking stick. They ensured I was ok at every stop. For the price, I cannot rate this highly enough - this trip is excellent for getting out of Funchal and around the island, from the villages by the beaches to the forests and mountain peaks.
