Top Funchal Whale Watching

Our tour had to be rescheduled due to the weather, however Magic Dolphins were very helpful coming up with an alternative date and time. Initially I was a little apprehensive about the fact that my particular tour was on a very fast ‘Zodiac’ rather than the more sedate Catamaran, needn’t of worried the ride was fast but comfortable with padded cushion and good hand grips. On our tour we saw 3 different species of dolphins which was amazing, only little niggle was that most of the action appeared on the other side of the boat. Definitely recommend the dolphins are amazing.

Wonderful sights and a beautiful island. The tour guide was informative and friendly. Bring cash, there some cash only places. The volcanic pools are cold, only formed by volcanic activity. The tour accomodates for all and allows you some time to explore.

Great trip! Captain & crew worked hard to find us whales and we saw three different species! They used binoculars and called other vessels- really making the effort for our trip. I loved the cruise closer to shore on the way back. Boat is large, stable and lots of room to spread out. Highly recommend.

From the moment we booked this trip on the Internet to when we met the staff correspondence was excellent. All the members of staff are friendly helpful and want you to have a good time. Highly recommend the Dolphin trip. It was a shame we didn’t see any dolphins, it was too windy and choppy but the staff made up for our disappointment with their friendliness and fun.
