Amazing. It is a must see. Michelangelo's Statue of David is spectacular. The paintings are incredible. We did not want to leave.

We met Gabriella (our tour) at the designated area stated on the voucher. They informed me ahead of time that the tour would be pushed back 30 mins. They confirmed by message and a phone call. Gabriella was very friendly, very knowledgeable and made our tour very enjoyable. The information she provided was helpful and allowed us to see the exhibit in a different way than if we did it ourselves.

We booked that day once we knew we were going to Florence. They said noon and we expected to arrive by 11 but ran into difficulties with traffic. We explained in advance we we going to be late but they wouldn't wait and left no representative at the meeting place then refused to accommodate a later time, refund or even a voucher to use another day!

Once we got into the museum our tour guide left us. At least they could of let us know we were on our own, buy your own ticket, don’t go through this tour.

To see the Statue of David upclose was amazing. Seeing it in pictures can't be compared to seeing it live. Details that are carved into the carrara marble are easly seen. Unfortunately being able to enjoythe numerous paintings in the adjoining galleries was impossible due to the crowd, people pushing, shoving and blocking your view. Overall I was satisfied that I got to see the Statue of David.

I honestly hadn’t expected to be dazzled by David. We’d seen sculptures in the national gallery in DC and traveling Da Vinci exhibitions or Dali. But walking into the room and seeing the display of this majestic sculpture was worth the heat and the crowds and the 20 minute delay getting into the Academia. We were a little worried as we were on a cruise and didn’t know that even though tickets were for 1 it would still be delayed as we were waiting for another party who hadn’t shown up on time. It was no fault of the tour guide. But we were still affected and had to rush a bit. So I suggest booking but give yourself a 30 minute grace period if there are delays.

David is a Do NOT MISS experience while in Florence. The museum is interesting, but of course David is the main attraction. Even of David is all you see, worth the $$. Depending on your love of art, the self audio-guide is a great way to make this tour your own. Listen ad much or as little as you want. Or use the guide for airport travel reading later.

Met the tour operator who handed me a ticket they had paid €4 for and they told me where to stand in line for 11:45am entry. Charged me more than 10 times cover price. Paid extra $10 for audio guide which was only a free app to download on my phone and I was expected to bring my own earphones.

Easy to locate the people day of, they provided us with WiFi so we could download the audio guide at the meeting spot, and escorted us directly to the door. A lovely experience!

The "skip the line" feature really worked and our small group was inside the Accademia in just about 5 minutes of waiting. Our guide Laura gave us 60 minute art history class on Renaissance art culminating with "David" - was a great experience. My wife and I really enjoyed it.

Got there early, as recommended, and stood in the cold rain as the entry time kept shifting further and further back. No information. Just waiting and waiting. It was so chaotic - and there was no “skipping the line”. Finally got in 45 minutes past the advertised timed entry.
That said, the guide was good.

Get the skip the line tickets! I went at 2 and was supposed to meet the guide by 1:30. She politely waited a few extra minutes as I was finding the venue. The art work and statues is absolutely worth the price!

This is a great option if you wait too long to get tickets directly from the museum (as we did). This ticket just gets you in a line to see David and the rest of the museum. There is no tour involved.

Once we met our tour operator at the meeting place, he escorted us to the entrance of Accademia Gallery. Our tour started at 12:45pm and we were inside the gallery at 12:45pm. This was truly VIP Escorted Entrance. We had plenty of time inside the gallery. The crowds would thin out around the Statue of David so you could take some great pictures without the crowds.
