Alex was a wonderful guide! Very friendly, made sure we could always have the best view of the art, and gave so much context. I would have never known what I was looking at without her. Super cool!

Laura was excellent. She was knowledgeable and also made the tour fun. We are so glad we did this tour. It enabled us to navigate a very large museum and get the most out of the experience in Florence.

Overview

Explore the Uffizi Gallery on a guided tour that helps make sense of one of Italy’s most important art collections. Rather than navigating the vast museum alone, follow an art historian guide through key works by Botticelli, Michelangelo, and Leonardo da Vinci, and learn how the Medici family shaped Florence’s artistic legacy. Along the way, move through the gallery’s historic corridors and understand how the artworks connect to the city’s history.
  • See more than you would alone with an efficient route through the gallery
  • Gain context you'd otherwise miss thanks to the insights of your art historian-guide
  • Hear loud and clear with handy audio headsets included
  • Navigate the corridors without getting lost or overwhelmed

Thank you so much for the wonderful review! We are thrilled to hear that Laura made your visit to the Uffizi Gallery so memorable. Navigating such a vast collection can be overwhelming, so we’re glad her expertise and fun approach helped you get the most out of your time in Florence. I will be sure to share your kind words with her!

Pay attention to the instructions regarding where and how to meet and arrive a bit early. There are many other people looking for their own tours.

    Response from Host, Oct 2025

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review; your feedback is genuinely helpful for us and future visitors! We understand the short wait you experienced. This is typically due to the mandatory security check and the fact that your tickets are nominative (issued in your name). This strict Italian policy is in place specifically to protect tourists from scams and unauthorized street vendors. We truly hope you enjoyed your visit despite the brief queueing for security!

    Horrible, do not book!

    Nicole_K, Oct 2025
At ticket pick up the person handing out tickets was not very noticeable. He then incorrectly gave some people tickets instructing them to head to the door line but they were supposed to be on the guided tour, that was chaos already. We then waited for our guide who was not on time. She then told us that even though we purchased skip the line tickets, we had to wait in the group line because our group was too big!!! So why is this a small group skip the line if the company allowed so many to book. Not any bookers fault. The group line would then be an added 2 hour wait to enter the museum…. Everyone was very upset because they had other things booked after and/or had to catch a flight so then many abandoned the tour due to this!! The entire time was chaos and stressful. I feel bad for the guide… as we do not believe it is her fault it was overbooked. She did a nice job talking and touring through the art work.

It is highly dependent on the guide. The museum is not to be missed but the guide left something to be desired. We lost the guide for over half an hour when she took some people in the tour to the elevator. We didn’t get clear instructions where to meet her and we lost precious time waiting and a few of us even had to go look for her in a crowded museum.

    Response from Host, Oct 2025

Thank you for your valuable feedback regarding your tour experience. We sincerely apologize for the confusion and any frustration you felt, as it is certainly not the smooth experience we aim to deliver. We have looked into this matter and can offer some specific clarification: The Cause: Our guide had to immediately assist several guests with disabilities to a separate elevator entrance. This dedicated, slower access is mandatory for their safety. The Effect: This necessary detour and the museum's large crowd unfortunately meant the guests were not able to hear the internal meeting point to all participants before separating to manage the accessibility requirements. We regret that this unexpected situation impacted your experience. We are using this feedback to review how we handle meeting points and accessibility requirements simultaneously to ensure better communication for all guests in the future.

Tour guide was not polite and his English was *extremely* difficult to understand. We probably caught about 10% of what he was saying, and then he’d get frustrated when he noticed we were giving up on trying to understand him. Would have enjoyed ourselves more and probably learned more if we would have just used GPT to tell us what we were looking at.

Go to the Uffizi, but not with this guide/tour

    Perry_T, Oct 2025
I so wanted to enjoy this tour, but our guide was AWFUL! He should not be a tour guide at the Uffizi. We couldn’t understand his English, and he completely disregarded any questions we had. Also, the earpieces we used were staticky and difficult to use. Overall it was a terrible l, sub-par experience!

    lindawoulfe, Sep 2025
Very disappointed in this tour. The guide was not very friendly, difficult to understand and little interaction with group. He was probably very knowledgeable but we couldn't hear well or understand him. The museum was crowded, and the guide showed us very little. We felt we would have enjoyed it more with the audio guide the museum could provide. For us this was a total waste of money.

    Great tour

    Tynise_K, May 2025
Informative tour and great tour guide! Though it was crowded for the 12pm time slot, our tour guide was able to navigate through the crowds.

    Response from Host, May 2025

Thank you for your booking with Italy Pass and for your kind review. Please be aware that, due to the Uffizi Gallery's prominence and popularity, the museum often experiences considerable visitor volume. While our skip-the-line tickets offer the advantage of bypassing the ticket purchase line, thereby optimizing your visit, security checks are a mandatory procedure for the safety and well-being of all visitors. Furthermore, our knowledgeable, licensed guides are dedicated to providing an engaging and insightful tour, sharing fascinating facts about the Gallery to ensure a worthwhile experience.

    Thoroughly entertaining and informative

    Curtis_B, Jun 2024
Dude…this was amazing! Bruce was one of the smartest most informed, enthusiastic, and intellectual people ever. And a MASSSSSSIVE jerk! BUT! Haha not toward the people his was touring. He would stop at NOTHING to make sure you were front and center of every major piece in the museum while he educated you. He would ‘gently encourage’ (borderline force) others out of the way so you had the best views. It was hilarious watching him shamelessly fight for us to have an absolute premium experience.

    Response from Host, Oct 2025

Thank you for trusting Italy Pass with your Italian travel plans. Knowing your experiences makes us proud and inspires us to make every journey even better.

    Uffize Gallery

    Brent_C, Jun 2024
Our family went to the Uffizi Gallery and really enjoyed it. Raphael was our guide and he was very passionate and knew his art. You were on your feet a lot which was tiring and the Gallery was full of people but we managed to see all the paintings we wanted to see and were impressed by them.

know the specific spot to find the group or your visit will be ruined

    Gloria_H, Apr 2024
My experience immediately prior to entering the Uffizzi was terrible. I was on time and in the right place, but I could not find the group. I did not know we were meeting under the Giotto statue. After 20 min of running up and down and asking many other guides I finally found the group. The sign was sitting on the street at ankle level. When another person said ‘under the Giotto’ was on her voucher I was told by an organizer (not the guide) there are different messages on different ‘platforms’. It was hot, I was miserably uncomfortable, and very frustrated. The tour itself was ok … the beginning was ruined by my fear of not finding the group , losing my payment, and being so uncomfortable

    A great tour

    Allie_G, Mar 2024
We had a delayed start as there was no one from Italy Pass at the meeting spot until 15 minutes after the start time, but once we got moving it was very good. Fabrizio was an excellent and engaging guide and helped to make the magnitude of the Uffizi digestible and accessible. He had great insights and stories and kept our group very engaged. There were 7 of us which was the perfect size.

    Great! But Slow Down!

    Phyllis_P, Mar 2024
Our guide was very knowledgeable, passionate about the art and she ensured her group was always accounted for. I appreciate she made the effort to explain the nuances of the time periods and pointed out unique ways to observe the art. The Uffizi was crowded and she did her best to navigate through all the people. The last 45 minutes seemed rushed as we zipped from one area to another and at the end it felt more like trying to get through the tour script and zero time to ask questions. Raised my hand a few times and was ignored. I highly recommend a tour and our tour guide was informative, maybe slow down and engage with the group. We would have never known if she skipped part of the tour, I would have rather be engaged and acknowledged versus being talked to.

    Great guide

    Ellen_S, Oct 2023
Our guide was great. She had great knowledge of art history which made us appreciate the visit all the more.

    Beautiful art

    Angie_B, Oct 2023
There is no crowd control and we left early. It was hard to enjoy with thousands of people pushing you. Our guide however was fabulous.

Great overview of an amazing collection

    Kevin_K, Sep 2023
Alex was our tour guide, and she was able to navigate us through the crowds without losing anyone. She was amazing in giving an overview of the collection by hitting the significant pieces, the turning points, and by pointing out elements that we'd never have noticed alone. I would recommend her tour to anyone and everyone.

    Worst experience in museum

    Gabriela_K, Aug 2023
The tour guide we had didn’t wait for any of us. She would go to another room and we would have to guess where she is. She would stand in front of the paintings and do a monologue not interacting with us. Another family travelled with us and we were both constantly trying to keep up with the tour guide.

Group was big and guide didn’t connect with us.

    Nora_Z, Jul 2023
This was a museum full of amazing art. The guide was unfortunately impersonal, hard to understand and monotonous and threw random pieces of info about the art on the walls without making any effort to give any background. Group was too big about 20ppl. Not sure how that’s a semi private tour.

Hard to hear through ear piece provided

    Hanna_E, Jul 2023
We were disappointed with our tour because the headphone audio wasn’t good. The tour guide was knowledgeable and had a great attitude, but the ear piece was so cheap that we couldn’t hear her very clearly. They need to invest in better earpieces like the ones I’ve used with other companies. I’m pretty confident that the ear piece was the issue and not our guide or background noise in the museum.

    Could be better

    Jared_T, Jun 2023
The Uffizi Gallery was very crowded, the headsets only had a single earpiece and it was hard to hear our tour guide. It felt very rushed and we even got left by our tour guide because she was hurrying so much.

Worth it to skip line and navigate museum

    Maria_H, Jun 2023
The tour itself was a bit slow for me, however once in one can break away. I thought the tour was a great way to get in the museum as I saw tourists literally crying with the confusion as to what line they need to be in.

    Great tour

    alan_y, May 2023
Excellent guide (olga) which meant that it was very educational and we learned a lot. However “semi private” did not match our expectations with a very full gallery

    So crowded it's scary!

    Adeline_T, May 2023
Even at 8:30 am, too crowded. A lady actually clawed me and shoved me out of her way. It isn't the tour's fault. There are just too many people in the museum.

Take a tour and learn a lot!

    Janice_M, May 2023
Our tour guide Jessica was very knowledgeable and her enthusiasm and love for the art shined through her tour. Skipping the line was so important as we had little time in Florence. Our meeting place was easy to find.

    Not a great experience

    50klm, May 2023
Guide and helper were late. Guide was very knowledgeable but too detailed and boring for non art majors. Tour went 20 minutes past published end time. Guide was sneezing and coughing. He stopped the group immediately inside the Ufizzi and excused himself for 5 minutes with his headset active for all to hear.

    Uffuzi Visit

    Clint_S, May 2023
The Uffizi is an amazing museum full of works that we study in school! My guide was great and informative. The museum was PACKED the day I visited after a holiday. It was informative, but probably could get away with just getting a general entrance for the same experience.

Tour guide did a good job...

    Anne_M, May 2023
Tour guide did a good job showing the group the highlights in 90 min. Huge museum, would go back to see more.
