Rushed and just so-so

It was great to see the amazing artwork, and our tour guide had an amazing knowledge of the art, but she kept complaining about the crowds and seemed unprepared for them. For example we stood outside and she talked about the statues outside, then we had to wait in a long line to get in, and she said “oh if I had known there would be a line, I wouldn’t have taken so much time outside.” Also I would rather hear about the art and artists than the history of Florence.

Not a VIP tour.

The only reason I have this 1 star is because it advertises as a “VIP tour.” It was not. We were given an app to download & had no tour guide. So it’s a self guided, non VIP tour.

You still have to queue.....a lot.

The tour guide was knowledgeable and passionate about her subject. We found it very educational. However the radio sets this company used were low quality and you were better off just listening to the guide without the earphone. However, the Uffizi Gallery have recently changed their entrance security company and all tour guides appear to have lost their queue skipping privileges. By comparison the Accademia tour with another company was a 5-star rating.

Poor tour operator but good tour.

Tour was fine. Guide was good. Tour operator changed our time and forced us to cancel a different tour. Was unhappy about that. We planned our trip well in advance and being forced to choose wasn’t great. We didn’t have enough time to change.

We came on a busy day so it took about 40 minutes to get in to the museum. One of the problem was there was only one security line. The second one was down. Still quicker than the standard line. Our guide did an excellent job explaining the key paintings and sculptures.

Small details can make a big difference to improve this experience. We rated it a 3 because it was not the best in terms of ease of comprehension and overall organisation. The guide didn't have any kind of tour identification sign like a sign held up or a Tshirt with the brand etc. It was very tricky to keep her in sight in anextremely crowded environment. The guide was friendly and Jovial and we appreciated her positive attitude. However the explanation of many things seemed more learned by heart and less out of knowledge and passion for art. I had trouble understanding what the significance of many of the pieces. Something that has nothing to do with the tour at all is that the museum is extremely crowded so I would recommend wet wipes or a small fan to stay cool and not exhausted.

Not Recommended! Advertising is wrong, paid double for nothing!

We purchased vip tickets with skip the line, when we meet a guide, she just gave us regular tickets, we stayed in the huge line and paid double price for the same regular tickets in musium. Advertised as vip skip the line with a professional guide, we didn’t get guide and skip the line tickets!!! Not recommended to anyone, totall rip off. Paid double.
