Easy Simple Option

This was such a easy way to book this. They sent the tickets the night before and we could easily download them. Same cost as buying direct.

Information confusing

This was disappointing to say the least. There was no one there with a white polo and a Kay Kay tours logo. We were very confused. The museum staff were wearing white polos and helped us. Fortunately the tickets got us in and Kay Kay tours were responsive to questions. I assumed we were getting a tour with an audio guide. We had to pay extra for the audio and it was very confusing. The rooms weren’t numbered, but the audio was. We didn’t really know what paired with the art. I was really looking forward to this, but was a bit disappointed.

Changed times and gave us less than 1 hour warning

Booked a 9:30 time because we needed to drop luggage off at a storage facility in the morning and that would give us plenty of time. The company changed our tour time to 8:15 and only contacted us about it at 7:30 that morning. We had to miss the tour all together

Left disappointed and waiting in line

We booked for a “skip the line” ticket. We arrived 15 minutes before our start time at the meeting point. The guide didn’t show up to meet us and their office had to call another guide and buy tickets from them. Those tickets were for 30 minutes later than we scheduled and we had to wait in line. The entire waiting process took us over an hour. The delay created scheduling issues for us the rest of the day. We were very disappointed and I would not recommend using them for this tour.

Great museum in florence

Great experience. The lines in front of the museum were long and confusing. Our tour assistant from kk tours Florence (I think his name was Murray) was excellent. We were early and he stayed with us until we could join the right line. He was very friendly and wouldn’t accept a tip. Without him, it would have been a terrible experience. The museum itself was awesome. You have to see it if you are in Florence.

Not exactly sure if we actually skipped the line because we still waited in a line, but it was fast and we only waited a few minutes. The guide didn’t provide me with toe exact meet-up point via WhatsApp until about 45 minutes before our entry time. I didn’t have my cell phone activated (no cell service or data), so luckily I had a friend with active service to communicate with the guy, who was hard to understand given he didn’t speak much English. He then sent the digital tickets when we met up, so fortunately my friend had service.

Bad representation

The supplier kay kay partners did not provide me with agreed upon ticket times they changed the offer three times. I was finally admitted entry 30 minutes late. Only by demanding that I received entry with proof by email and text messages

Unorganized and unidentifiable

Dude was not there before 8:15, there was no flag or identification. Gave us the ticket for 8:30 the next day, we obviously got turned away. Came back with an 8:30 ticket for the right day, but we had purchased for 8:15. It was very stressful. Thankfully it wasn’t too busy inside and we enjoyed our quick visit.

Skip what line?

This is not what we expected. I thought we would skip the line and go in. Instead we were dropped off at the end of a very long line. It was chaotic and we had to wait over 20 minutes before approaching the entry. Our contact person was polite and indicated the problem was with the Academia. Regardless, it was not what we expected.

Not a good guide site

They sold us the tickets from Kay Kay Co. and when we got there for our 1pm tour, they gave us tickets for 1:30pm. The man who gave us tickets finally gave us tickets to get in at 1pm, however when then did not get our audio guide. I will not use Viator again.

Another 3rd tier

Viator is fine if you haven't planned or there's just something you forgot about but it's not great. I've used it in Hawaii, Costa Rica and now Italy and airbnb experiences have been so much better. I've used experiences in barcelona, paris and Vienna. maybe it was just coincidentally my location And my planning but it seems to be a third tier operator who shows up last minute, uses the whatsapp and pirates to rick steve's audio recording...
