We had a nice guide Matteo. Even he was surprised that what he considered was the best sculptures were closed because the wing is under renovation. Very disappointing. He did a nice job showing us other things...

I was worried that this museum would feel nuanced and daunting, but Matteo did an amazing job connecting to the history we already understood about Florence and the artist represented in the Bargello. The guide was knowledgeable, but dry and not very animated. Lots of context for the different pieces of art, but very little on the techniques, history, and significance. Enjoyed the museum, but will find a different tour company next time!

The Bargello is an extremely interesting museum and it was not very busy when we went. Better experience than Pitti Palace, Accademia, and Uffizi, in our view. Tour guide was knowledgeable enough. Recommended experience.
