Best tour in Florence of the museums (skip the line is a must!) and walking around the square. Our tour guide was extremely knowledgeable in all the works of Michelangelo as well as others. You get a break to go get lunch too so you’re not starving in the museums. Highly recommend!

What a wonderful experience. Elena was exceptional! Wouldn’t have toured these sites any other way than this. Can’t miss experience and guide. Thanks again Viator app and Elena!!

Kind of a long tour, but Angelo was a very entertaining and educational tour guide. He made art history fun!
Justin_N, Jul 2026
Brenda was wonderful! Her deep knowledge of the city combined with her academic background in art make her the perfect tour guide.
The love of her craft comes out in her caring. Anyone lesser guide wouldn't do the tour justice.
Notwithstanding, uffizi and academia should be done more once and slowly in other to digest.
Joy_W, Jun 2026
It was a very educational overview of Michelangelo and his contemporaries. The inclusion of other pieces done by Michelangelo, as well as his teacher and peers was enlightening.

We saw everything you need to see when you come to Florence (we actually stayed in Siena and took the train for the day to start the tour at 9:30AM). We spent the perfect amount of time at every spot and our tour guide was a treat with a great lunch recommendation even being able to hit a famous Florence wine window! We got done in time to catch the train back to Siena for dinner. This is exactly how I would see Florence and all its attractions! 5 stars!

We had an excellent guide and a very informative and fun tour through Florence. Mia was fantastic and the scenery and artwork were amazing.
Phil_P, Jun 2026
Very good experience for the essentials of Florence. Our guide was excellent. The Uffizi gallery was wonderful and of course David is a highlight.
Anthony_B, Jun 2026
Great overview of the big works in the museum and history of the city. The guide was very knowledgeable and willing to answer questions. Definitely worth it for the information and timed entry to the museums.
Gertrude_J, Jun 2026
The tour was amazing and our local tour guide was very knowledgeable about the history of the art and local areas in Florence. It was clear our tour guide had a passion for art history and enjoyed sharing this history and culture with us.

We used the Viator app for directions to meeting location and arrived 20 minutes early for a June 28, 2026 9:45 departure for the Florence Small Group Walking Tour with Timed Entrance to the Academia. We received notice via the app that we had “arrived” at the correct location. After waiting over an hour, during which time we tried to call and message our tour guide several times about where he/she was, our group of 6, as well as another group of 4, found a Viator rep only to be told we had missed the tour. We followed, exactly, the directions given. There was no attempt by the tour guide to reach out to us. We were standing, literally, at the posted address where the tour was to meet per the Viator App. When we finally found someone representing Viator, we were informed that our expense of over $1200.00 USD for the tickets would simply be lost, due to our failure to show, which was completely false as we arrived prior to the posted departure time at the exact location. The primary issue was the absolute lack of Viator’s concern or support or attempt to reach out to me. We were told that although we received an “arrived at location” notice, we should have known to walk around to try to find our group. When I informed the representative that we had indeed walked around trying to locate our tour, I was dismissed out of hand. Highly disappointed in this company. WOULD NOT recommend Viator for customer service or support or clarity of information.
Response from Host, Jun 2026
Dear Julie,
Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We're truly sorry to hear about the frustration you encountered before the start of your tour.
From your description, it appears the meeting point information provided through the Viator app may not have directed you to our designated meeting location. We understand how upsetting it must have been to arrive early, believe you were in the correct place, and then discover you had missed the tour.
If you'd be willing to email us directly with your booking details, we'd be happy to look into what happened and see if there is anything we can do to help.
Thank you again for your feedback, and we're very sorry that your visit to Florence did not begin as planned.
With kind regards,
Walks & Devour Feedback Team

We signed up for a small group tour (15 or less), and when we went to the meeting place, the people there had no idea and sent us across the square. Those people sent us to another place on the square. When I called Viator, they told me "40 other people" found the tour guide, and failed to help us join the group in progress. Then, our refund request was denied. Very disappointing. It was in the June heat wave, and we ended up spending 2 days trying to see things on our own. Book with someone else.
Response from Host, Jun 2026
Dear Nancy,
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We're very sorry to hear that you were unable to join your tour and understand how disappointing that must have been, particularly during the June heat.
For clarification, our meeting instructions are provided at the time of booking, and we ask all guests to arrive 15 minutes before the tour start time. During this check-in period, our customer service team is available to assist with any difficulties locating the meeting point or guide.
We're also sorry to hear that you were given incorrect directions by people in the square, which unfortunately appears to have added to the confusion.
Should you ever find yourself unable to make a tour, we do offer a rescheduling service whenever possible. We encourage guests to contact us directly so we can explore any available options before the tour departs.
We appreciate your feedback and are sorry that your experience did not meet your expectations.
With kind regards,
Walks & Devour Tours

Such a great guide and worth the money to cut lines and learned a great deal! Doing both in the same day is a good idea.
Dora_S, Jun 2026
We had a terrible tour experience – indeed, it was so bad that we chose to leave the tour early and forgo our visit to the Ufizi museum. Our guide, while charming as a person, was completely unorganized, difficult to understand, and, most importantly,
failed to provide information or background that was intelligible or informative. She even informed us at the beginning of the tour that she refuses to carry a flag for us to locate her which led to chaotic confusing times trying to make sure everyone on the tour could locate her throughout the tour. To be clear, we weren’t expecting a university-level tour guide experience, but the narration and organization we received failed to even reach a grade-school level. This was particularly surprising given how expensive the tour was, but frankly, we would’ve been disappointed by the quality of the tour at any price. We also aren’t complainers or the type of people who expect perfection, but our experience was so abysmal we opted to bail on the tour after the first half of the day (and similarly thought it bad enough to take the time to write this review). We recognize this company has other tour guides, so perhaps the rest are amazing (hence the mostly positive reviews), but this was at least our experience with this guide.
Response from Host, Jun 2026
Dear Dora,
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We're very sorry to hear that your experience did not meet your expectations and that you chose to leave the tour early.
Please accept our sincere apologies for the disappointment you experienced. The quality of our tours and guides is something we take very seriously, and your comments are not reflective of the standard we strive to deliver.
We would kindly ask you to bear with us while we investigate your feedback with the guide and our operations team. Once we have completed our review, we will follow up with you directly.
Thank you again for bringing this to our attention. We appreciate your patience whilst we look into this matter.
Best regards,

It was overall a nice experience seeing the different parts of Florence. The skip the line was great to get in and see David and the guide was very knowledgable on the history of all the marble statues and what went into making them. The last part in the Uffini museum really was what brough this down to average. It was way too long and spent too much time talking about some of the artworks. And to make it really tough was there was no AC or felt like it in the museum as it was so hot in there. That part completely lost it for my family. Other than that it was good day and tour
Clare_S, Jun 2026
The tour guide was amazing - he gave so many details and information that was fascinating. He also was very patient. I learned so much in such a short amount of time
Blake_S, Jun 2026
The tour was fun and we actually covered a lot of stuff we had already visited on our own. That said, the history you learn is fantastic, and having quick access to tickets to places makes it worth the cost instead of waiting in the long lines.
SEANNA_B, Jun 2026
Our guide was so knowledgeable and funny, I thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience. I would recommend this tour to everyone.
Ginny_H, Jun 2026
My husband and I were lucky enough to do this tour with a nice small group and a fantastic guide, Laura (which she pointed out the correct way to pronounce her name was to use ALL of the vowels!) She was great. It was obvious from the beginning the passion that she has for everything she showed us. We began our tour with seeing Galleria dell'Accademia where we saw David. Of course there was much more in that museum and she explained it all - super interesting. When we got to David she told us more than I would have ever expected. As we were walking through the streets of Florence she explained so much more. We had a break for lunch then came back together in the Piazza della Signoria where she went over stories of many of the fabulous statues there. We went on to tour the Uffizi Gallery. I dont think we would have enjoyed this part of the tour nearly as much without a guide and Laura really "hit it out of the park" (I wonder if she knows what that means lol) with that famous art gallery. Normally my eyes kinda glaze over quickly with art galleries - and I do like them but I dont last long trying decipher everything myself. However she made each piece come alive with the stories and it was such a good experience. This tour is expensive but we felt like it was money well spent. Grazie mille to Laura!

Skip the line really helps. Old Eurpoean city walking, typically on cobblestones and uneven paving stones.
Katie_C, Jun 2026
Giada is incredibly knowledgeable about Florence. In a short time we saw the major highlights of Florence! Our family really enjoyed this excellent tour!
John_E, Jun 2026
Great way to see the main attractions in Florence. Made everything easier and lots of great information on the sights. Guide was very helpful!
Michelle_S, Jun 2026
Our guide was wonderful! She taught us about the city- its history and its culture. She also taught us a lot about the art we saw! She was knowledgeable and passionate about all that she taught us!
Kevin_G, Jun 2026
Matthew was an Absolutely outstanding tour guide! His knowledge of art, art history, the history of Florence and general Italy is extensive! We truly appreciated how he was able to take all of what we were fortunate to see and weave it into the historical events and sentiments of the eras! He is also very personable, considerate and humorous!
Excellent tour!
Sabrina_V, Jun 2026
We had a great time! The tour included a lot and was perfect for our group. It was definitely worth it!
Jen_W, Jun 2026
The tour with Annette was fabulous. She explained aspects of Florentine cultural, art and every day life that made the tour memorable and humerus too! We were a family of 4 and our history buff said it was amazing...and that is a high compliment from the dad that would read every sign, if he could!
atwaterwilliams, Jun 2026
The tour was very interesting and Paulo was extremely knowledgeable and professional. However, the tour was a little long and there was LOTS of walking.
Amanda_S, Jun 2026
Our tour guide was incredible. She was so knowledgeable, informative and captivating. She ensured we saw the highlights in all of the tour sites and I don’t feel we would have had as enriching of an experience if we hit these sites on our own.
VICTORIA_P, Jun 2026
Private tour with a very knowledgeable guide. Ask to sit where possible if standing for long periods is a problem for you. The break was helpful. Skipping the line was important
Jennifer_C, Jun 2026
It was very informative. Kylie has studied the subjects in detail. Her English is perfect and she is very considerate.
