This is a great trip for families with children who are starting to love fishing. My granddaughter (10) LOVED the experience. We didn't catch anything we could keep but was still a great trip. Captain Rob was the perfect guide.

This was a wonderful last minute experience for our family. My kids are older but we did the 2 hour experience meant for the younger ones due to our schedule restraints but they still enjoyed it. Captain Rob was wonderful and patient. He was so easy to talk to. Our family will definitely book again when we come back!

Chris, Kate, Wyatt, and Dalton were a bunch of fun. They were vacationing here in Destin from the Dallas area. My favorite kind of trip is with kids! The energy and excitement that they bring is amazing. Wyatt and Dalton caught redfish (one actually had no spots--super rare) and several black drum. This trip completely exceeded all our expectations! While searching for a fishing charter in Destin, we narrowed the search for trips available the days we were traveling and staying in Fort Walton. L4K Charter popped up as an option. We almost passed on it as it’s docked in Niceville, but don’t pass it up. So worth the drive from Destin/Fort Walton Beach area. Because it was available the day we needed and was highly rated, we booked without much more investigation. Captain Rob reached out the next morning after booking to send information about the charter and also messaged the day before we fished. There are things you hope for on a fishing trip: comfortable boat, safe guide, and hope you get some bites and maybe get something big enough to brag about in the future. Then there are the things you didn’t even think you needed: a patient and compassionate person who doesn’t judge if you can’t cast accurately or far enough who knows exactly where to go to be on the fish and keep the fishing going with lapses. I don’t know how much bait we went through, but I have always booked fishing trips knowing it was more for my husband than myself, but I truly had a wonderful time! After our trip, I went onto L4K’s website (we didn’t realize he had one before our trip). He’s a Marine veteran giving back to veterans who need it in a beautiful way. Captain Robs motto is “No coincidences, making memories.” His interactions with strangers is genuine and we feel honored we got to spend a few hours with him on his beautiful boat.

This is one of the sweetest couples I've ever fished with. Jason and Lee came down from Castle Rock, CO. She's an Army veteran and now works for the VA--taking care of the men and women who make our country safe, proud, and secure. We had wonderful conversations while catching redfish, snappers, and groupers. November is a fantastic time to visit Destin and go fishing. I look forward to more adventures with Jason and Lee. Captain Rob knew exactly where to find the fish and give me and my boys a great experience. They have not stopped talking about how much fun they had and are hooked on fishing now. He baited the hooks for them, cast them, and safely removed the fish for them when caught. The boat was extremely clean and well kept up. Safety was a priority for the captain. Great trip!

Matt, Logan and, Liam are from Charlotte. Logan and Liam are the best brothers I’ve ever had on this boat. As soon as Liam would catch something, Logan would put his rod down and help him and encourage him on what to do. Incredible!!! They both rode back in the tower and said that was the best part of the fishing trip. We caught redfish and snappers one after another after another. It was an epic July bite. Mr. Todd and Ms. Kathy live in Madison, Iowa and they fish a lot together. We caught a few fish in the Bayou while the wind was blowing then transitioned to the bridge and stayed there for 2 1/2 hours to catch a 35 inch redfish, mangrove snapper, trout and even a toadfish. We had a great time fishing with Captain Rob ! His boat is beautiful and his equipment is top notch ! We especially liked the time and effort he put into making sure our 12 year old had a great fishing experience. Highly recommend ! We caught 29 fish during the 3 hours we spent with Captain Rob. We will definitely book another fishing trip with him next time we are in the area !!

New Jersey families love to joke around. We caught redfish in the bayou on my two favorite docks. Two over-slot redfish bulls and at least 24 shorts. Lots of memories on the water today.

Captain Rob is an exceptional fishing guide and navigator on the water who made the trip so enjoyable, interesting, and refreshing. We caught lots of fish just after a short time in the bay that exceeded expectations. Ana and Daniel are from Baton Rouge. They are very sweet little couple that do a lot of stuff together. It was still cold when we left but headed straight across the bay to a bayou on the south side where we slayed the redfish for two hours. We did a little sight seeing. Spotted some dolphins, and then were able to move around to a few spots to find the best fishing. Captain Rob was very knowledgeable and did a great job to provide a great experience
