David is pretty much the best. Me and my boyfriend had a blast with him last night! He was funny. And super informative. And even though we had to walk everywhere David made the time go by fast.
We honestly thought about asking David to go out with us after the tour for a drink and talk more about the city! Thanks David!
If you ever visit Atlanta let me and Mike know!

It was an hour in a half walk. But we laughed and heard several amazing stories of the past. So the walk didn't seem as long as it was. We really enjoyed it

Erica was great. It was a lovely night with excellent stories. We enjoyed learning about Birmingham's history and getting a feel for the city.

Save your money. We paid $200 for a guide that was clearly high on something, realed of booze, and blew smoke in our face from his pipe. He was semi incoherent and rambled along with many stray thoughts, opinions, and biases thrown into his speech. He repeatedly banged on furnace vents, signs and dumpsters trying to scare the people on the tour. One of his speeches detailed graphic descriptions of how a lobotomy is preformed. The end culminated in a rubber axe being thrown at people. He managed to hit my daughter in the jaw, my other daughter in the stomach and me in the leg.

Erica was entertaining and amazing! It poured on us and she let us have the umbrellas. She was awesome! We would highly recommend this tour.
Response from Host, Jul 2025
Thank you so much for braving the weather with us! We’re thrilled to hear Erica made the night memorable—rain and all. She always brings the stories (and the umbrellas!) with style. We truly appreciate the recommendation and hope you’ll join us again—hopefully under clearer skies next time!

David was an excellent tour guide. We learned a lot about Birmingham in addition to the ghost stories.

It was a private tour and great. He took me around the town and even spent time explaining to me why my hotel is haunted.
Response from Host, Jul 2025
Now that’s the Birmingham experience! We’re so glad you enjoyed your private tour—and that David could shed some light (or shadows 👻) on your haunted accommodations. There’s no better way to get to know the city than through its ghosts and stories. Thanks for joining us, and may your hotel stay remain only slightly haunted!

Tour guide never showed up. Waited 15 minutes. They accepted reservation and payment. When I reached out to them, they didn’t reply until next day. It was a crappy thing to do.
Maddie_A, Feb 2025
Tour guide was very knowledgeable and entertaining! The tour lasted over two hours, but we didn’t mind!
Maggie_B, Sep 2024
David was a fun and knowledgeable guide, it was a fantastic tour! It was great to bring our dogs, too.
Britany_H, Sep 2024
We had a great time!! Brought scarey spirits back with us. For sure recommend!! It is a bit of a walk.
Mark_R, Aug 2024
David was a delightful guide. Made sure that my family's safety and comfort were top priority. But the utmost was he made sure we had fun and learned something too. We took away a new concept of the Beauty of downtown Birmingham and had a spooky fun time doing so.
Stanley_Y, Aug 2024
A wealth of information about the history of Birmingham, peppered with wry humor. It even included the hotel we were staying in!
James_H, Jul 2024
David was a great tour guide. It was a fun tour and he shared pictures he had from previous tours. I would recommend this tour.
Hannah_W, May 2024
Tour guide was laid back and easy to interact with. Stories were historical and fun. Reasonable distance on walk between sites. We enjoyed it!
Seema_T, Apr 2024
Daniella was a lovely tour guide. She shared many interesting stories and kept us all engaged. A nice way to spend 90 minutes walking downtown Birmingham listening to the historical stories of the area.
Brandon_A, Apr 2024
Our tour guide Erica was great! We enjoyed hearing all of the stories, especially the ones that occurred in the hotel we were staying in. It was a great nightcap for our brief stay in Birmingham.
andrew_k, Feb 2024
Our tour guide was Erica - she was so amazing and dealing with shenanigans from 4 women enjoying a much needed trip ! The stories were enthralling and even had some spine tingling chills 💀
Anne_A, Dec 2023
The stories about the Tutweiller! David was very entertaining and knowledgable; we enjoyed walking with him.
Sallie_L, Dec 2023
I wasn't able to take the tour because the tour didnt know he was supposed to be there. We had changed our reservation via the ticket provider - which we were directed to when we clicked on the link on the website for the actual tour place. But they said the never got the notification, which to me seems as if that means they hadn't checked their notifications and alerts and inboxes etc. at all that day or the day before. we ended up doing a self guided tour via an app online for like $7 and it was really cool. Definitely not what we were hoping for so we were very disappointed on that front at least.
However. I have to give props to the person at the tour company because he had me fully refunded within 12 hours and it was back in my bank within the next 12. So I can't complain overall as far as that goes.
Ben_P, Dec 2023
We learned and saw so much on this tour, and it was all within a couple easy walking blocks! Our guide had unexplainable, creepy orb pictures that previous tourists had taken, and fun stories about the area in between stops.
Aaron_T, Oct 2023
There was a white SUV down a parking corridor that was, ironically enough, not part of the tour that creeped me out the most.
jennifercortright, Oct 2023
What can I say about the tour? First we had Erica who is our tour guide and she was amazing. Even though she scared me have to death and loved every minute of it she was very informative and gave a wonderful breakdown of the city and all of the historical sites that were haunted. Thank you so much for a wonderful tour. I will never forget the alley
Jeff_B, Sep 2023
The tour guide was a great storyteller, we had a lot of fun. Great experience for anyone wanting to know some history of the city.
Jamie_L, Aug 2023
We had such a great time. Stories were interesting and kept our attention. The lady that did our tour also did my tarot reading and with no detail was dead one with her reading.
AJ_H, Jul 2023
It's an ok experience. Our guide Dani was knowledgeable and friendly however the tour didn't do anything for me. Seeing dark buildings and hearing a story about someone dying in them maybe a turn on for some people. Viator also sent me to the wrong starting point. The tour operator mentioned that they have informed Trip Advisor/ Viator many times of the new starting point but they still keep sending the erosion information out. Contact your tour operator directly to confirm the starting point.
Lisa_M, Jun 2023
Dani was a great tour guide! She had lots of information and kept the tour very interesting! Walking around downtown Birmingham was a blast. I would definitely recommend!

The place to park was 8 miles away from the place of where we were supposed to park. I’d really like to know how that makes sense. I showed up at the parking location at 7:40 then drove around trying to find the place to park. When I couldn’t I called and the address they told me was the place the tour started. Wasn’t going to make it to the location that it started by 8 so that was a complete waste of $80, seeing as due to your lack of communication and inability to give proper directions, I didn’t get to have the experience and wasn’t allowed a refund because I can’t cancel within 24 hours but that makes no sense either considering I bought the ticket the same day. Great work!!!
Response from Host, Jun 2023
I'm terribly sorry that you did not have a good experience with us, but I do not understand your "8 miles away parking" comment. We are in the middle of downtown and there's parking everywhere, especially on Monday when most of the restaurants are closed. Also, please note that two hours before all tours guest are sent the following text message that very clearly states where to park...."Mon, Jun 12, 2023 6:00 PM

Danni was fantastic. The night was full of facts, great stories, and photos to back up the incredible information. She interjected humor, intrigue, and history in her story telling. It is obvious that she did her research for this tour. We had a great time!!
