Great alternative tour of Berlin
Rhys is a fantastic guide. He was perceptive and informative- exactly what you want in a guide. He put everyone at ease. We learned and laughed a lot. I felt I could ask him any question about the city and would get a thoughtful response. Highly recommend!

It was great exploring...
It was great exploring neighborhoods in Berlin outside of the standard tourist areas and getting historical perspectives of each area.

Highly recommend!
We had a great time exploring some really interesting spots that we would have never found on our own. Learned a ton about life in Berlin. Fantastic tour guide that I can't for the life of me remember his name.

Worthwhile!
An engaging way to spend an afternoon, getting to know the city. The tour took in a lunch break too which was appreciated!

Incredibly interesting, not a dull moment
Reese, our guide was super interesting and very knowledgeable. We had a wonderful 4 hours and learnt so much, seeing places you don't usually come across as a tourist.
Highly recommended!!!

I learned so much about Berlin's counter culture.
Make sure you book a day that is warm. It was freezing and the very long outdoor tour was very uncomfortable.

Toptour!
Maybe the most memorabel part of this tour was the guide called Reese. Never stops talking with passion, little blackhumoristic accents and a healthy dose of rebellion. The perfect guide for this tour

Great afternoon with Lee
A unique tour that showed a whole side of Berlin that tourists don't get to see.
Tour guide Lee was very engaging and clearly enjoys his job.
Great info on street art and alternative arts and culture.
Lee was proud of his local neighbourhood in Kreusberg and showed us some really cool little corners ending up in a very bohemian district.
Trip has tram and train travel which requires extra tickets but this gives the tour a wider scope and embraces both former East and West Berlin which are interesting to compare.
Highly recommended

After quite a few WWII...
After quite a few WWII and Cold War Berlin tours, having a taste of what modern day Berlin has evolved and continues to evolve was fun to go through! Our guide, Reese, was knowledgeable and truly came across as someone who is immersed in the alternative culture that defines Berlin, and not just someone who was reading out from facts. Probably the highlight was the playground where kids 6-16 build most of it without adult supervision, and burn down a third of it every year to renew and make space for new building! I think that really sums up the spirit of what could only, perhaps, happen in Berlin. I was worried about the amount of walking with the length of the tour, but it includes 2-3 legs that are covered on public transport and has about 20-30 minutes set aside for lunch as well. Just a note to others who take the tour: the end of the tour wasn’t at the published end provided in the ticket, but a bit further into Kreuzberg. This wasn’t a problem for us, but I can imagine this may be an issue if you were planning on ending at a specific place for following appointments. I genuinely found this be one of the best tours I’ve done in Berlin.

Friedrichshain is a must for art lovers, foodies, and Cold War history buffs.
The streets of Berlin are mostly cobblestoned so wear comfortable shoes to walk on the uneven surfaces.
Grab a bite to eat or enjoy a beer at one of the many bars and restaurants around the Boxhagener Platz area.
