Viewing the Holocaust Memorial and the Wall were both very moving. Our tour guide, Matt brought everything to life for us and was so knowledgeable about many aspects of the war. He also had many pictures to help us understand the changes in Germany at different times during the war. The tour was well planned and we saw so much of Berlin in the time given.

Our guide, Scott was very knowledgeable. Our driver, first time in Berlin, got lost. We rode around Berlin for two hours lost. If our driver was was more experienced, the excursion would have been perfect. Viator rep found our group in Berlin after many complaints. The tour was informative and would recommend for history buffs.

Bus was in an accident- not the driver’s fault. Two hour delay, rushed tour, late back to the ship (past sailing time). Driver spoke no English so no one knew what was happening.

This trip was ridiculously convenient being picked up right off the ship in a very comfortable coach with European electric outlets to keep electronics charged and a bathroom.
We were shown numerous points of interest by the greatest tour guide named Jhonny, he was very knowledgeable and friendly. Our coach driver meanouvard the bus on the highway and throughout Berlin like a pro and didn’t slow down a bit! We had nine in our party and felt this tour was an absolutly spectacular day trip to Berlin and included more than enough.

The tour guide was wonderful; however, they used a large white passenger van 18 passengers and there was no room to legs and extremely rough and bumpy. They should have used a regular large bus that has no more leg room and better suspension. Ride was 2.5 hrs each way.

Our tour guide, Kate was extremely knowledgeable of the history of Berlin and was confident in her knowledge. My only wish is that she did a little less talking and allow us to just explore/walk around more. For example, when we got off the bus at the Reichstag Building, we did not move from the bus, she spent the entire time talking about the history (very in-depth) and we could have strolled closer to the building to experience it, not stand on the sidewalk and then walk back into the bus. What was the purpose of getting off?

Long day with more driving then touring. The guide was a bit challenged with the logistics of moving the bus around lots if construction and traffic
When we got to the places, he was excellent.
Given the length of the day (12 hours) this is nit a trip for the faint hearted.

Super tour guide, excellent command of the language, sites and history! My only complaints are: the tour is advertised as a small group with sightseeing and stops along the way...... not so. Huge bus, filled to the gills. No guide on the bus from the port to Berlin or back. No explanations of the countryside or towns. One stop to pee- pay toilets. Make sure you carry euros- Germany does not accept American money! No sightseeing along the way over or back. But, the Berlin city tour itself is excellent.

We didn't have a lot of time for our tour of Berlin because we had a 3-hour drive one-way from where our ship docked in Warnemunde. Our tour guide, Sebastian, was excellent and very knowledgeable of all history involving this great city! Two suggestions: (1) Have a film on the bus about Germany or Berlin since we have such a long drive. (2) The guide has a loud voice, but it's best to pass out the 'whisperers' as we had a fairly large group and some of us have hearing problems. Thanks for a great tour, Sebastian!

Well worth the 3+ hour coach ride each way. Our tour guide spoke fluent English (moved from Australia to Berlin several years ago). His knowledge of the various sites we visited was exceptional, as was his views of the historical significance of each. A very moving experience for Americans who value the efforts of our "greatest generation" in defeating the Nazis.

Bus Transfers: We had a very good bus driver. Our drive to Berlin incl a stop; however on the return we did not stop and 3+ hrs is a long time to go without a stop.Suggest washroom equipped buses.
Tour: Our tour guide was Taylor and he was very knowledgeable and did an excellent job of giving us the history of the city. We had frequent stops with plenty of time for photos.He was cognizant of the time we had before returning to the ship and utilized the time well.
Overall: I would recommend Viator for both content and value.

We had a great time on this tour. the best part about it was the size / number of people on the tour and air conditioning. We had a total of 18 people...not like the 60+ people on the cruise line tours. Great guide … he had answers to questions I hadn't thought of...plenty of free time...the bus ride to Berlin was very nice with views of the country side.

I have to start by saying that it takes ~3 hours to travel by bus from the Warnemünde port to Berlin BUT well worth it once we arrived. Berlin is a fascinating City that played such a crucial part of WW2. Our guide Matt did a great job of showing us the highlights of the city with great narration. I was a bit worried that we might miss our cruise boat but I learned that the Cruise Shore excursion to Berlin and this tour both leave Berlin at 6:30pm. If there was traffic, it would delay everyone. We got back in 2 1/2 hours with plenty of time to have dinner on the ship. So glad we took this tour.

This tour was very good. The guide, Taylor (ex- Australian) was excellent. He was very knowledgeable and also very attentive to the needs of all the passengers. For example, we needed to get off the tour to take a taxi to the airport and Taylor not only called a taxi for us but also stayed will us until the taxi arrived.

We traveled with ULKO tours and our tour guide was very informative and knew all about the history and chronological events. He is an American who got his degree in Berlin Studies and now lives in Berlin. We went to all of the places of the most importance, Brandenburg Gate, Berlin Wall, Holocaust, Memorial,
Checkpoint Charlie (where we had some time for lunch), and all the other significant sites of Berlin and he explained the turn of events at the sites! Extremely worth it!

The tour was exactly what I expected with the only negative component being the three hour journey from the port and the same for the return. We saw exactly what was included in the overview and a little more. Our guid Matt was extremely knowledgeable and very pleasant. I'd recommend this to all.

4 forgetful clients were late for more than 40 minutes and required Ulkotours to phone them. This greatly reduced our lunch/visiting hours. Overall, I think that 3 hours' drive per journey is not worthwhile. The guide did not urge us to pay him gratuity and because he did not go back to the dock with us, we missed the chance to do so.

This was a 12 hour excursion from Warnemunde/Rostock Germany as our cruise ship was in port for 15 hours. Sam who was from the UK and has lived in Berlin for the past six year was one of the best tour guides I've ever had on any viator or Cruise excursion tours. He was very knowledgeable but knew how to communicate to all levels of audience. The places we visited were all awesome! The bus ride from the port to Berlin was about 3.5 hours each way but luckily we were in a brand new bus and had an awesome driver as well. I highly recommend this tour. Make sure to bring water and some snacks with you.

Good value for money hitting all of the sites one has always heard about. Boris, our American born guide, was very informative and gave us historical background on each site we visited. In addition to the background on the sites, Boris gave us a glimpse of the change in German thought after WW!!. He carefully kept track of the group and pressed us so that we were able to visit all of the highlights in the brochure.

Even with the long ride to and from the pier to the city we were able to cover all the highlights of this amazing city. Excellent, knowledgeable guide, kept things moving and all on the tour on time! With so much to cover we did not feel rushed and was happy that the tour concentrated on seeing as much as possible without wasting too much time for lunch or shopping!!!

This is a very good tour of Berlin. Know though that it's a 3 hour bus ride from the port to Berlin and another 3 hours back. You will see farmland and that's about it on the way. They stop coming and going half way for a restroom break. The tour in Berlin takes in all the sites as detailed in the description on the web.
