This is hands down one of my favorite travel experiences of all time. It was just me, my mom, and my brother with Alfonso and his co-host. With our small group, we got to be totally hands on for the entire experience. The paella we had was AMAZING, I still dream of it to this day!
The hosts were informative, easy-going, and so easy to talk to! The apartment is BEAUTIFUL and artsy. You would never get such an authentic and intimate experience with a large tour. I highly recommend this class above all others!!! 10000/10 for sure.

If you're reading this, PICK THIS ONE. This was absolutely my favorite experience not just in Barcelona but Spain overall and everything I was looking for in a cooking class - insanely delicious, intimate, personalized, thorough, and in a beautiful place.
Great experience before we even arrived - my partner is VERY allergic to seafood so I messaged prior to the event to confirm they could accommodate dietary restrictions (knowing this was a big ask for a smaller, personalized activity). They responded very quickly and kindly that it wasn't a problem.
Took an easy metro ride with a nice walk along the beachfront to the location. We arrived to the BEAUTIFUL apartment with a warm welcome (complete with champagne) from Alfonso and Txema and they immediately made sure they knew who had restrictions to keep them away from those ingredients but still active participants in the preparation. Alfonso (a professional chef with decades of experience) explained everything that went into the preparation of the gazpacho, paella, and sangria very clearly, including how and why specific ingredients are chosen, great tips and tricks, and cooking pitfalls to avoid. He was super approachable and answered all of our questions not just about the food prep but his life and experience in the industry.
We went up to the even more stunning rooftop, which he has all to himself! We had time to socialize and soak in the views and while Alfonso and Txema cooked up the food - INCLUDING a personalized non-seafood (chicken and vegetable) paella for my partner. Everything was SO GOOD and fresh and enjoyed with an insane view of the sunset over the harbor. Could not have asked for a better time PLUS we got the recipes for everything in our inbox the next day.

The prep is in the family dining room. The roof top patio, where we dined and cooked paella was wonderful.It was nice meeting new people. The host created very authentic paella with family secrets. I would say it was very warm inside the house where we prepped. Much cooler later on rooftop patio , with great views. The host accommodated guests with allergies.

We had a fantastic night with Alfonso and his partner. His apartment is beautiful and overlooks the harbor. Dinner is served on his rooftop which is an amazing experience to have while visiting Barcelona!

This is a nice, intimate cooking class - a departure from the overly touristy, busy experiences in Barcelona. Location with harbor and sunset views. Small group with a Spanish chef as our host. Host was gracious, pleasant, knowledgeable, and patient with us. Wonderful tablescape with well-developed progressive menu - gazpacho, seafood paella, crema catalan, and sangria. Everything came out delicioso! Nice, peaceful conversations over dinner with good recipes and memories when we departed.

We had an incredible time ! Warm welcome with drinks and a stunning view of Barcelona waterfront. Ingredients were fresh and delicious making our 3 course dinner and yummy Sangria beyond amazing. We enjoyed eating on a stunning rooftop terrace overlooking the Harbour. Host/Chef was just amazing. A memory my family will cherish. Highly Highly recommend!!!!!

We had a wonderful evening with Alfonso and Txema! There was also a family participating with is. We were in the personal home and rooftop patio overlooking the Old Port where many yachts were docked. The view from their patio is beautiful, the weather was ideal and the food was excellent! Alfonso shared his recipes, even his “secret ingredient “! 😀 after dinner, my husband & I walked around the port looking at the beautiful boats, and the activities of the carnival around the port area. We would definitely recommend this activity, we had a lovely evening! Thank you, Alfonso and Txema!

This was a true "experience"
For my birthday, my adult Son agreed to go with me. Of course we (mother & son) don't often enjoy the same things. But I had a great time and I think he enjoyed it more than I did! The food was really good; we got some good cooking tips; the view was fabulous; and the Chef was "authentic". We really had a great time and would absolutely recommend adding this experience to your Barcelona trip!

OMG ... this is one of my favorite thing I like to do when I visit another country. The Paella experience was so amazing. It was one of the best Paella I have ever eaten. The Plus to this experience was the beautiful view from the rooftop. The sunset, the harbor, the yachts and the view of Barcelona was so..so beautiful. It made for a great experience. The conversation and the instructions on how to make the paella was right up my alley. If only I could share the pics with you all and you would be sold. Besides the company was great.

Alfonso and his sous chef went above and beyond to provide us an amazing experience! I am a converted gazpacho lover as a result. Will definitely prepare that and the meal he prepared for all of us in the future. The best three course meal we’ve had here while visiting from Canada. It was a special occasion and they went over and above to recognize that. What a special evening with the perfect hosts walking us through and sharing their culinary knowledge with us. The location and the view could not have been better for this occasion. You have a beautiful place a wonderful view on the terrace that overlooks a good part of the city of Barcelona. We were so happy to have booked this class with Alphonso and Txema. They taught us how to make Sangria, Gazpacho and Paella all in the comfort of their beautiful home overlooking the water. It was such a fun experience. We learned alot, ate fantastic food (it was all delicious) and shared some conversation and laughs with our wonderful hosts. Enjoying the dinner we made on the gorgeous rooftop patio was amazing. Not only do you get a fantastic meal but an unforgettable experience! I highly recommend.

The whole experience was amazing. Our hosts were kind and knowledgeable. We were brought up to the apartment, given a glass of cava, introduced to the other participants and allowed to hang out on the balcony overlooking the marina - before putting on our aprons to prep the gazpacho and paella that would later be our dinner.
We made sangria and had Catalan cream for dessert. The rooftop was so beautiful, covered in plants and the table was set for us when we got there. We got to talk through the cooking process for the paella and enjoy each others company. I would recommend this experience to anyone and everyone looking for a one of a kind and memorable evening.

We had a lovely evening with Alfonso and Txema. It was especially nice to spend a little time learning new recipes in a beautiful home looking out over the marina. It was raining on our evening so we got a look at the rooftop terrace where class is usually held. Their large kitchen made a great substitute. We highly recommend this class, it was fun, informative and a memorable activity and you will definitely not go home hungry!!

An enjoyable evening with a delicious paella dinner and a welcoming host. Guests participated in preparing the paella and sangria ingredients and Alphonso did the cooking. We ate on Alphonso's deck as the sun was setting. What a beautiful view! After dinner, Alphonso served Catalan Cream for dessert. We received recipes by email the following day.

We had an unforgettable experience at the rooftop paella cooking class, starting with prep in a stunning condo overlooking the Port. As we sipped on Cava, Chef Alfonso introduced us to the steps behind making some of Spain's most iconic dishes: gazpacho, sangria, and of course, paella. Alfonso's warm and engaging personality made us feel welcomed, and his perfect description of each process made the experience both informative and fun. His assistant was equally friendly, adding to the overall warmth of the evening.
The cooking took place on a beautiful outdoor terrace surrounded by greenery, which created the perfect setting. Alfonso explained each step in detail while cooking the paella, making it easy to follow and appreciate the craft behind it. When it was time to enjoy the meal, we sat down for a delicious dinner filled with great conversation. Sharing this memorable evening with my wife made it truly special. I’ll never forget this amazing experience!

This was perfect. My mom and I went together. There was also two girlfriends that were there. It was a smaller intimate group which made it feel like you were just catching up with friends. Alfonso was such a fun and friendly host, felt like we had known him forever. The rooftop terrace was magical to say the least and the whole experience was simply perfect. I would totally recommend this!
