At the entrance to the Sagrada Familia Cathedral, take advantage of your fast-track tour booking to skip the lines. Enter the cathedral, without wasting any time waiting, and begin to admire Gaudi's architectural creation.

As it is a Catholic church, discreet clothing is mandatory, access may be restricted if the clothing does not meet the requirements.
For safety reasons, children younger than 6 cannot go up the towers and children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.

For safety reasons, people with reduced mobility and those whose ability to move around or interact with their surroundings autonomously and safely is limited by any sort of visual impairment may not visit the towers.
Please note that to go up the tower you will use an elevator but to go down you will need to use the stairs.
The lifts in the towers will be closed in adverse weather conditions including strong winds and/or rain.
The tour is a shared tour, you will be sharing one tour guide and will have radio microphone/earphones to hear the guide better

We enjoyed our tour, in March. It was very cold at the beginning of the tour. It was extremely busy, so I think our guide was delaying. She was very informative and I really liked her heartfelt comments. I only wish there would have been a restroom break, or told where restrooms where before the trip to the top of the tower! I got some sassy comment about being an American ...Ugg. Just a women over 60.

Good informative tour of an amazing place - don’t miss the inside of the Sagrada Família! It’s must-see. Truly spectacular. And the ability to go up the tower is amazing too. Things to know - they hand out audio systems after you go through initial security - we were worried we wouldn’t have headphones because our guide Teresa was speaking to us initially by trying to project her voice - too large a group (24 people) and too crowded for that. But once we had the audio system it worked well. Also to know - you don’t get the official audio tour, which means you miss some information on the tower portion (where the guide doesn’t go). Amazingly tower tour is elevator up and then descend via rather narrow winding stairs - but as we’ve never NOT had to climb a tower that was surprising and quite nice. There are a few stops along the way down to see the views and some of the mosaics and carvings up close. Duration of tour was just right and you have more time to walk around on your own after the tour ends. Highly recommend especially if (as was our case) it’s too late to buy tickets directly.

Rosa was our guide. She was extremely nice and very knowledgeable on the history of the Basílica. Make sure you eat before you go as there are no food or drink inside. We did include the tower on our tour. The views were spectacular. You take a lift up but you do have to take stairs down a very narrow and, at times, winding staircase. If you have an issue with small spaces I would skip this part of the tour. All in all it was a great experience.

There were 25 people in our tour group as well as five children under five years old. The size of the group and the presence of the children was less than ideal. I thought it would make more difference than it did. The Sagrada Familia is crowded and chaotic. The children hardly seemed to matter. We received headsets for the church tour that were not great. Loud but fuzzy. buying tickets from the venue and using their audio guide would probably have been a better option, however, our guide was knowledgeable and had a great personality. The space is amazing.

Poor/No Communication

We went to meet at the pick up point and the traffic was really bad. We messaged the tour company 10-15 minutes prior to the pick up time that we would be there about 5 minutes late. No response. We tried again 8 minutes after and still no reponse. Now they are saying that actually called my number directly instead of using WhatsApp which all the tour companies do. Ours was a ticket and tour and they would not leave us our tickets at the gate or compensate us anything at all for the entire tour. We were 8 people at approximately $1300 Canadian. Very poor customer service. We booked 6 other tours through Viator on our trip abroad and all used WhatsApp and reached out to us prior to the trip compensing. BE VERY CAREFUL, show up very early!

The guide was very good but because of all the noise outside the cathedral it was difficult to hear what she was saying until we got the audio devices so ok after that.. The tower option was good but only if you are fit to walk back down 100s of stairs and not much room.

Amazing architecture and tour

Marc was an amazing tour guide. Would highly recommend the tour with the tower access. It gives you an amazing view of the city and close-up views of the exterior. You take the elevator up and walk down very tight spiral stairs. If you are afraid of heights, it might be a little scary, but it is worth the view. The history Mark gave really helped us understand how the Sagrada Família was built. He did a great job of combining history and an architecture lesson. Would highly recommend this tour.

For tourists that are not...

For tourists that are not new to Barcelona, arrive more than more than 15 minutes early we took the wrong train and arrived 2 minutes after the tour time due to high traffic and getting lost in the metro and even though I let them know we were running late they left without us. I have traveled quite a bit and every other Viator tour guide had waited a good ten minutes to ensure most guest find their way to the meeting point. Not these people. Please plan accordingly or you will waste about $300 for a tour.
