OlgaE was a WEALTH of knowledge!!!!! Best tour ever!
Our tour guide OlgaE was a wealth of information. She grew up watching the growth of the city. No questions went unanswered. If you’re thinking about just buying an admission ticket, don’t, the tour is DEFINITELY worth it. My only regret was not allowing more time to spend wondering around after the tour. You could spend hours in there. Bring your camera there are thousands of photo opportunities. Again our tour guide OlgaE was absolutely fantastic. I can’t wait to visit again❤️
I thought our guide was very knowledgeable about the history of the oldest part of the town. He also someone who speaks English really well. It can get really busy, I was happy we had equipment to hear better. If you are looking for a walking tour, this it in my opinion.
Tour guide Marina was great. What made it better is she looks just like our granddaughter.😃 This tour is a great overview of the city of Barcelona that can’t be done walking, or on the hop on hop off bus.
Marina was very knowledgeable of the history of Barcelona and made it a fun time.
I always find you get to know a city by walking its streets and eating its food. Our guide Angie was amazing! She introduced us to the food and history of Barcelona and her enthusiasm and love for the city came through. She immediately led us away from the tourist traps and got into the heart of the city. You will not be disappointed!
Beautiful places- especially enjoyed Pals and the scenic fishing village and lunch looking at the Mediterranean ( what I want to see)!! I didn’t see the Arab bath in Girona in the itinerary though. Mostly, Miquel did a good job and love the convenient pick up and drop off service at the hotel !! A full day with few hours drive- nice countryside views. Enjoy this excursion a lot !!!
Absolutely worth it! Great food and drink with some interesting historical notes. Come thirsty and hungry! We did this same tour a year ago and had to book it again! Juan Carlos was great and made round two unique from our first trip. We would definitely do this tapas tour yet again.
The tour was conducted at a very good pace. It was very thorough and informative. The guide was very personable and attentive to the group.
Note: the museum no longer allows visitors on a group tour to stay and further explore the exhibits after the group tour is over.
Every time I travel I always try to do a food tour and I would definitely recommend this one. There were 4 stops for the food tour and definitely a great amount of food for the price; we left very full! We got to try popular dishes like paella, as well as some “secret” dishes that were delicious. Our guide, Jordí, was very knowledgeable and was able to answer all the questions we had. Plan to arrive early and don’t cut it close; we were 2 minutes late due to navigating the subway, and we almost missed the tour!
Semi-private intro to Barcelona with hotel pickup.
We booked a small group tour. The guide, Dago, picked us up shortly after the scheduled time. On the other hand, he kept us informed about the new time. Dago took us through the streets of Gothic Quarter, the Sagrata Familia, Olympic sites, and the beach area. He shared his deep knowledge with us & told amusing anecdotes along the way. You could not expect a better introduction to Barcelona.
A breathtaking Montserrat experience made unforgettable by an exceptional guide
We booked the Montserrat Monastery small group tour with hotel pick-up, and it was one of the best decisions we made in Barcelona.
Marcel (tour guide) was exceptional — truly top-tier. His depth of knowledge about Montserrat was impressive, but what made the experience special was how seamlessly he connected it to the broader history and culture of Barcelona. Even on day two of jet lag, he kept us engaged, entertained, and energized. His kindness and professionalism are rare. He elevated the entire experience.
The small group format was perfect. It was just us and one other couple, which allowed for a relaxed pace and meaningful conversation. We debated between this tour and a wine tasting experience, and in hindsight, choosing Montserrat was absolutely the right call. The monastery is breathtaking. The architecture, the mountain setting, and the spiritual atmosphere combine into something unforgettable.
We paid the extra €17 to take the train up to the top of the mountain. Do it — but give yourself more time than we did. We only had about 20 minutes at the summit, and one of the main trails takes roughly an hour. That timing mistake was on us. The views alone deserve unhurried space.
The local vendors selling honey and cheese near the monastery added a great touch. It felt authentic and relaxed. There was no pressure to buy, and they offered generous samples. The honey and cheese were excellent.
Seeing the Black Madonna was powerful, and lighting a candle in the long, glowing corridor filled with hundreds of lit candles was unexpectedly moving. It is one of those experiences that quietly stays with you.
Between the scenery, the history, the culture, and Marcel, this tour was 10 out of 10. If you are debating — choose Montserrat. It delivers beauty, depth, and perspective all in one morning.
Nilu was one of the best tour guides we’ve had. She was thorough, professional and extremely knowledgable. She was considerate to late comers by calling each who weren’t at the meeting point to check on their status. Nilu gave a great walking tour of the Old City and a fascinating history lesson of Barcelona. She concluded the tour by sharing her personal recommendations of where to eat and what to visit while here.
Alessia was a great guide. It was so interesting learning about Gaudi and seeing the different locations. I could see myself living at the Park and the Cathedral blew my mind. Alessia was fun to hang out with and she made the day fun. I thoroughly enjoyed the information, the insights, the chocolate, and the food recommendations. It was a wonderful day.
Few cities are better suited to exploring on foot than Barcelona. But instead of attempting to navigate the winding streets, plazas, and promenades on your own, consider taking Barcelona walking tours. Guided tours are often the most efficient way to explore, and if you're short on time, look for skip-the-line or fast-track access. Led by expert guides, these tours cover key sights such as the Sagrada Familia, the Gothic Quarter, and the Picasso Museum and offer a local's perspective, making them a memorable and immersive way to experience the city.
