- It is difficult to anticipate when La Sagrada Familia will be crowded. Typically, major attractions experience long queues during peak travel periods such as summer, weekends, Christmas, Easter, and local holidays. By purchasing a skip-the-line ticket, you can bypass the queue if there happens to be one. Unfortunately, it is impossible to predict specific days and times when lines are likely to form.
- To ensure safety, all visitors are required to pass through metal detectors at the security checkpoint. Please anticipate a wait time of approximately 20-30 minutes to clear security.
- In order to enter the Sagrada Familia Basilica, visitors are expected to dress appropriately as it is a Catholic church. Tank tops, strapless shirts, short shorts, or sandals are not permitted. Additionally, visitors are not permitted to enter the church wearing clothing intended for celebrations or festivities.
- Please arrive at the meeting point 15 minutes prior to the scheduled departure time.
- Customers must bring an ID to prove their age. If you cannot show the correct proof of age, Sagrada Familia will not allow entry, and you won't be able to get a refund.

Ina was an excellent tour guide. She explained everything very well during our visit. Also was considerate of members of the group as it was raining at the beginning and she protected us as much as possible.
There is a lot of information to hear about so it may be helpful to educate yourself about the Sagrada Familia prior to arriving. It will help you appreciate the intricate history and details once you see it in person. Incredible experience!
I visited the church today and paid for a guided tour. Unfortunately, our guide behaved in a way that I believe was racially discriminatory, and his attitude was extremely unprofessional. After we had waited in a long queue, he told us, ‘You can be happy or unhappy, but if you have a problem, go ask the staff here. I’m just a tour guide.’ This was rude and dismissive. I would like to file a formal complaint about his conduct.
This four was advertised as a small group, which is the main reason we took it. There were about 30 people on this tour! It was supposed to be 90 minutes, we were all done in 60.
The guide had a strong accent and we hardly understood a word he said. T
These complaints were repeated by many people on the tour. I could not recommend this tour on the fact we did not get what was advertised.

Thank you for sharing your feedback. We’re sorry to hear that the experience did not meet your expectations.
Our tours are designed to provide the advertised duration, and we always try our best to provide the full tour. We also understand that group size and being able to clearly hear and understand the guide are important parts of a guided experience. We’re sorry that you found the group larger than expected and had difficulty following the guide’s explanations.
We appreciate you taking the time to share these comments, and your feedback regarding the group size, tour duration, and guide’s communication will be shared with our team.
This was a fantastic tour. It was a great way to obtain a ticket to see the inside of Sagrada Familia and understand more about Gaudi and the other architects involved in this immense project. Great advantage to have a tour guide rather than just an audio guide provided by the staff. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable, able to explain details clearly, and had many pictures to help understand some of concepts of the designs. She clearly enjoyed being able to share this special place with all of us. The company was easy to communicate with before the tour, and sent reminders making sure the meeting place and time to arrive was clearly understood. Highly recommend this tour.

Thank you for your wonderful 5-star review! We’re delighted you enjoyed the Sagrada Família in Barcelona with Golden Tour Guide. It’s fantastic to hear your guide’s clear explanations, enthusiasm, and helpful visuals enriched your understanding of Gaudí’s masterpiece. We’re also pleased our communication and meeting instructions were helpful. Thank you for recommending us!
The tour was well organized and a reasonable number of people. Our guide spoke quickly and with an accent but was clear and easy to understand. The information he included was of interest and he was mindful of time, using the time well and keeping us moving so we were able to see everything he had planned to show us and ended on time.
This attraction sells out well in advance for regular tickets. We were able to get these tour tickets only a few days before the actual tour so when someone tells you you won’t get in last minute, try this tour! We got in and we learned more for having the guide.

Thank you for your wonderful 5-star review! We’re delighted you enjoyed the Sagrada Família in Barcelona with Golden Tour Guide. It’s great to hear the tour was well organized, informative, and well paced, allowing you to see the highlights while gaining much more insight from your guide!
It was so incredible to see this attraction in person. The history, the art, and the architecture were all magnificent. Very moving spiritually as well. I wish we had a better guide. Next time I’d also choose to do a private tour. A one on one experience is much better. Even with a headset it was difficult to hear our guide and understand her. I don’t have a hearing impairment. She had a very thick accent and spoke much too quickly. Although she explained certain things, a lot more interesting facts should have been included. I’ve been fortunate in the past to have other tour guides with more personality.

Thank you for sharing such a thoughtful review. We’re delighted to hear that you found the Sagrada Familia incredible and appreciated its history, art, architecture, and spiritual atmosphere.
We’re sorry, however, that the guided experience did not meet your expectations. We understand how frustrating it must have been to have difficulty hearing and following the guide, particularly despite using a headset. We also appreciate your feedback about the pace, the depth of the information provided, and the overall style of the presentation.
We’re glad that you are considering returning to the Sagrada Familia, and we hope your next visit provides the experience you’re looking for.
Thank you again for sharing your comments.

Thank you for sharing your experience! Your review appears to describe a flamenco show rather than our Sagrada Família guided tour in Barcelona. We believe it may have been posted under the wrong activity and kindly ask you to check your booking.
Super crowded. Tour did get us in rather quickly which looked difficult to do on our own. Tour guide was personable but accent made him difficult to understand everything he was saying. He Tried making jokes and asked questions like it was a quiz show which I did not think was necessary. Cathedral was spectacular which made the visit worthwhile. Meeting place was easy.
Response from Host, Sep 2026
Thank you for sharing your experience. We’re pleased to hear that you found the meeting point easy to locate and that the tour helped you access the Sagrada Familia quickly despite the crowds.
We’re glad you enjoyed the spectacular cathedral itself. We’re also sorry that you found the guide difficult to understand and that some aspects of the presentation style did not suit your preferences.
We appreciate your feedback and will take your comments into consideration as we continue to improve our guided experiences.

Personally I didn’t think having a guide was worth it. The guide was lovely and a very nice person but the beauty of Sagrada doesn’t need a guide. Especially when it’s so much more expensive than standard admission tickets
Response from Host, Sep 2026
Thank you for sharing your honest feedback.
We’re glad to hear that you found the guide lovely and personable. We understand, however, that you preferred exploring the Sagrada Familia independently and did not feel that a guided experience added enough value for you.
Our experience is designed for visitors who would like to learn more about the basilica’s architecture, history, and Gaudí’s vision with a local guide, while standard admission is also available for those who prefer to visit independently.
We appreciate you sharing your perspective and thank you for taking the time to review your experience.
Knowledgeable guide. Very interesting architecture and awe inspiring cathedral. Skip the line was worthwhile.

Our tour guide Olga was lovely. Enthusiastic knowledgeable and friendly.
Be prepared to wait a long time to get in to sagrada Familia even with the "skip the Line" ticket. Not a reflection of the tour guide or company, it's just how things go

An excellent succinct tour of a very impressive building. The structure is amazing and our guide did a great job of explaining the most notable components. Great to do it as the sun goes down as the light coming through the stain glass windows is phenomenal.

Família Sagrada is a must do if visiting Barcelona. This iconic church architecture and history will amaze you. The detail, the thought that went into it. Architect Gaudi was a genius. Our tour guide “Anna” was so very knowledgeable about every aspect of the church and history we learned a lot in 90 minutes. She spoke perfect English and was bright and smiling throughout despite the overwhelming heat. We appreciated her enthusiasm!

Although the quide was pleaded seemingly knowable, it was very difficult to understand him…. All 8 of us missed 80% of what he had to say, to bad, the church was tremendous, but we learned nothing.
