My children & I spanning ages, 57 me, kids: 21,18 & 12 had the BEST experience with Benjamin on his rooftop learning all about the history of paella, how to make it & why different cooking techniques are use;. He was so personable & knowledgeable! He was great with us, just a family + does a lot with others including corporation team building events. He has a dog, so if you like pups, ask if he can join.
Such a special memory to make when in Barcelona! Make sure to ask for Benjamin!!!

We were 45 minutes late because we got lost and he was still so accommodating. We had such a fun time and the guide was super knowledgeable. Highly recommend.
P.S. Careful about using apple maps because it sends you to the wrong place.

This was an AWESOME experience!! We had a group of 9 of us, and then 5 others that joined. Everyone was so lovely. Benjamin, the host was fantastic, extremely knowledgeable, welcoming and made some delicious paella. The rooftop was beautiful and everyone got to participate in helping. I would 100% recommend if you’re wanting a good time!!

Our group of five ladies had the best time at this paella cooking class. From the moment we arrived, our host Benjamin made us feel completely welcome — warm smiles, great energy, and a beautiful setup that made us feel at home.
Benjamin spoke really good English and made the whole experience easy to follow and so much fun.
We started off with a delicious glass of sangria (included!), then learned how to make authentic paella step by step. Everyone got to participate, and we picked up some great tips along the way.
The paella turned out absolutely delicious, and to top it off, our instructor even gave us with a complimentary dessert!

The class was a lot of fun and the teacher was fantastic BUT the location was moved and it did not take place on a rooftop. Luckily, it was on a ground floor patio. The only reason it did not earn 5 stars was that I as looking forward to the rooftop experience. It should niot be listed as such if it isn’t going to be on one.

We had such a fun time with this class! Such a unique, hands-on experience that my family and I will never forget. The rooftop vibe felt so intimate and homey, which makes for a less intimidating and more comfortable setting for a cooking class. Benjamin was the perfect teacher to helping us make our first ever paella. He starts the class by having everyone help him make sangria and goes into a bit of the history of paella as we drink a glass, then immediately getting to work. He’s thoughtful, friendly, funny, patient, knowledgeable, and extremely helpful in telling us the dos and don’ts of making authentic paella, as well as giving you tips on how to make it at home with ingredients local to your region. What a great experience! One of my favorite experiences in my trip to Barcelona. Our host and chef Benji hails from Costa Brava so he was able to impart regional relevance to the well-storied paella. The rooftop location was great and added a backyard homestyle feel. The class started off learning how to make our own pitchers of sangria and starting off the paella. In the meantime, we made some pan con tomate (tomaquet) to chow own.
There's something special about everyone helping out to cook paella and being able to sit down and enjoy it at the end. It was a great experience.

Such a great way to end our stay in Barcelona. It was a quick cab ride from our downtown hotel and then we were warmly greeted by Benjamin, who was great at getting the kids involved right away and an excellent teacher and conversationalist with the adults. Just a chill couple of hours in an experience that felt very authentic. Definitely recommend!

A great experience that gets you off the busy streets of Barcelona, and into an intimate but social environment connecting you to the culture of the Catalan people and their food. This was such an awesome event. Benji was the best host and created such a chill, relaxing environment for everyone. He was passionate about paella and we couldn’t help but share in his enthusiasm as he showed us the process. As my brother said, it was like being in an episode of Anthony Bourdain’s show where a local chef invites you in to their home (rooftop patio). I highly recommend this imtimate and enriching event.
