Great introduction to Girona

This tour was truly outstanding! Our guide, Quim, brought a great mix of historic and modern knowledge all with a great sense of humor. He pointed out historic sites as well as Game of Thrones and other filming locations. The pacing was excellent and we walked away with a good understanding of this magical city. Quim gave us plenty of time to take photos and ask questions and wrapped up with recommendations for where to get lunch.

Fantastic Experience!

We did a private balloon ride and were picked up by Domi at exactly the scheduled time 6:30am. The drive to the takeoff location was about 45-60’ with a brief coffee breakfast stop on route. Nicolas was our pilot and the owner. We were present as the ballon was being filled which was cool to see. Liftoff was seamless and once in the air it was smooth sailing. Nicolas was super professional, knowledgeable, funny and pleasant for the entire time the four of us were inflight in the basket with him. We would have liked to have gone higher but I think Nicolas was sensitive to the fact that one of our friends was prone to having a height panic attack. Flight direction is totally dependent on the wind so you do not land where you takeoff. Nicolas’s colleagues follow the ballon in a truck and Nicolas lets them know where we be landing. Once on the ground we had a celebratory glass of Cava and received our flight certificates.

But the tour was about much more than the series: Dylan also shared interesting stories about Girona, its history and the surrounding region, which made the visit even more enjoyable and gave us a real feel for the city. As a local, he also gave us some great recommendations for authentic Catalan restaurants in Girona and introduced us to several Catalan specialties to try during our stay, a very appreciated bonus! Must do tour

Meeting place was easy to find. Tour guide Jean Mark was great. Knowledge, funny and brought history to life. As an avid walker there is not actually much walking to this tour as everything is pretty close together however there are steps and small hills that some with mobility issues might find challenging. My friends and I thoroughly enjoyed this tour though and worth the money.

Brilliant trip

Me and my partner booked this experience for his birthday before we flew out, and it ended up being one of the highlights of our holiday! We honestly didn’t know what to expect, but it completely exceeded our expectations. The staff were so friendly and fun, the food was lovely, the drinks just kept coming, and the music and views made the whole experience even better. We also got to jump into the sea and snorkel with all the fish, which was amazing. We had such a great time from start to finish and would 100% recommend it to anyone. We’d definitely do it again!

When in Girona…A must do tour!!

This was a fantastic tour!! My friend and I loved it. Dylan was an amazing tour guide and more. He really shared his deep knowledge of Girona, his compassion for the Jewish people from their arrival in Girona, their expulsion from Girona, and their many contributions to Girona. He is passionate and caring in his approach to sharing all of this information. He also gave us a long list of restaurants to go to for lunch after the tour. He went above and beyond and we really learned so much that we never would have known if we had tried to do it on our own. I highly recommend this tour to anyone who wants to understand the deep history of Girona and its people.
