Best cooking class in Spain!!

Robin_L, Apr 2026
The small alleyway and door did not indicate how absolutely awesome this experience was going to be. Our hosts and the chefs were outstanding and the food was the best we had in Barcelona. I would recommend this to anyone who loves food and cooking. Note- if you don’t want seafood, they offer chicken or vegetarian choices.

Maria was fabulous!! So knowledgeable on Barcelona and the food we made! Sangria, tapas, paella and cake were fabulous and easy to make for a “non- cook” The group in our class was fun and super engaged which made it nice! Since the market isn’t open Sunday we didn’t get that part of the tour so recommend another day if you want to experience the market. Highly recommend the tour!

A must do

Diana_T, Apr 2026
This was an excellent, fun class. Simon and Maria did an awesome job. Simon took us to the Market to pick the fresh seafood and explained how to choose the proper items. He showed us how to properly clean and prepare all the seafood for cooking. Maria did an excellent job prepping all the other items we needed to make the Paella, cake and Sangria. We thoroughly enjoyed the class, and the food was DELICIOUS. The others in the class were fun to be with, and Simon made sure that we all were engaged in the class. We would recommend to anyone who would like to take a class.

Maria is incredible!

Maria was incredible—extremely knowledgeable and thoughtful in the way she guided us through each step. She shared so much insight about Spain and its culture, which made the experience even more meaningful. Her talent truly shows in what she does, and she gives her full attention and care to every detail.

The best tour for families, solo travelers, or groups!

Our family of 5, including our three sons (8, 10 and 12) had a wonderful time in this cooking class. They were so accommodating to our kids including non-alcoholic sangria and making a separate chicken paella that they could eat. It was a fantastic experience and my kids came home so eager to help in the kitchen. Strongly recommend!!

This was one of our favorite excursions while in Barcelona! Simon was fabulous and the class was engaging and informative. My 11 yr old son who hates to cook said it was the highlight of the trip.

Def worth it

Jen_G, Apr 2026
Great team. So much fun good was better than expected! We went on a Sunday and were informed that the market was closed, I would have liked to know that in advance as I could have picked another day! We hit the market on our own the next day. And it is something you need to see with your own eyes truly amazing

Great meal!

Positive paella

SusanI_T, Apr 2026
We loved our cooking class with Nestor. The food was delicious and fresh! There was plenty to eat and well presented. Everyone got to participate in the creation and we learned how to prepare squid, shrimp, mussels and clams for the dish. We learned how to make sangria and drank several different liqueurs. We made an almond cake for dessert. The location was very convenient, the space was clean and well appointed. We also had a very fun group of people and Nestor and crew were gracious enough to let us spend some extra time, after dinner, chatting and getting to know each other. We loved our excursion and would do it again!

Fun and informative class!

David_W, Apr 2026
Instead of eating alone a a restaurant, I decided to learn about the authentic way to make paella. It was so much fun, absolutely delicious and very informative. The tour of the market, tapas, sangria, and even dessert was a bonus. Highly recommended!
