Set out from Barcelona on a comfortable, air-conditioned bus with your English-speaking guide and head toward the landscapes of Montserrat.
After check-in at Estació del Nord, travel through scenic countryside before boarding a cogwheel train, which winds its way up the mountainside to the monastery. Explore the historic complex on a guided visit, step inside the Basilica, and take time to admire panoramic views over Catalonia. Along the way, sample regional treats such as artisanal pastries and traditional liquors that have been made by the monks for generations.
From Montserrat, continue your experience with the option that best suits your interests. Join a tour of Oller del Mas, a centuries-old castle-winery, to stroll through vineyards, discover the wine cellar, and enjoy a tasting of three organic wines paired with tapas. - Tours start at 9:45 a.m. Please arrive 20 minutes before the start time because check-in is required at our office before proceeding to the buses area.
- Groups are limited to 20 people per guide, though in rare cases may increase to 22. Transportation is shared with other groups.
- Comfortable clothes and walking shoes are recommended. Montserrat and the winery may have more extreme temperatures than Barcelona—check the forecast and dress accordingly. Bring water, especially in summer.
- The tour is not wheelchair accessible, but service animals are allowed. For reduced mobility, contact us before booking to discuss arrangements.
- Infants (3 years or younger) join free of charge but are not provided with car seats or meals.
- Dietary restrictions or allergies are accommodated without advance notice.
- We often work with boutique, family-owned wineries. Due to logistics, the winery may vary from Oller del Mas.
- Tour timings are approximate and may vary due to traffic, weather, or unforeseen events. We recommend avoiding scheduling other activities immediately after the tour to allow for potential delays.

Fabulous tour! The cogwheel train, views of the mountain and the beautiful Montserrat Monastery followed by a trip to the vineyard with food and wine tastings was a fantastic way to spend the day. Our guide, Laia, was excellent! She is extremely knowledgeable, interesting and a lovely person. Highly recommend this excellent tour!!

This was an amazing experience, very well organized and the bus was very comfortable. Our guide Guillem was amazing. He was very knowledgeable of the history and enthusiastic. Our tapas and wine experience was an out of a movie experience, definitely recommend for everyone, we loved it.

This tour was way more than we expected. Our team of tour guides were knowledgeable. Vince provided a perfect balance of entertainment and historical information about the places we saw and Barcelona. Carla was our small group guide and was knowledgeable about every facet of our tour. The mini Catalan language and culture lessons were perfect. I strongly recommend this tour. We really enjoyed this tour to Montserrat and the nearby vineyard. Montserrat is absolutely beautiful, and the basilica is definitely worth seeing. The mountain views alone make the trip unforgettable.
The wine tasting at the vineyard was nice and it included tapas as well. Our guides were friendly, entertaining, and well organized, making the entire experience run smoothly.
One tip: be sure to arrive at the bus meeting point on time, as the tour leaves promptly.
Overall, this was a fantastic day trip, and I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Barcelona!

We had a great tour with Dasha up to the Mount! We also had a great bus driver. Dasha was very knowledgeable and went over and above to make sure that we were comfortable and becoming more knowledgeable by the minute! We were grateful for the free time as we could follow our interests. The tapas and wine lunch was good too!

Fun trip. Took a bus from Barcelona to Montserrat, a trip of a little more than an hour. The train ride up had some beautiful views but not much different than any other subway ride. The mountain itself was nice, and we got about an hour of free time to explore. We had a brief time inside of the Basilica. I was not aware of the Black Madonna when we booked, and we didn't have a ticket to see it up close - something to look out for if you're booking this. The food at the vineyard was good and the wines were fine. This tour emphasized the winery a bit more than Montserrat itself.

Traveled with husband, 2 teens and step mom. Had the absolutely best time. VINCE was our guide and he was full of stories and knowledge that brought the experience to life. Highly recommend and more than worth the price.... and that is before the great food and great wines.

This was an incredible experience, so much so that my 12 year old also loved it! If she could do it again, she would so that tells you something!
The guides were knowledgeable. We had Laia for the majority and Carla for a bit! They were funny, friendly and just amazing!
The lunch was filling and delicious, the wines were great!

Beautiful and simple tour of Montserrat! Transportation was wonderful and easy to navigate. Our tour guide Lorena was the absolute best!! She narrated the whole bus ride there and was so fun to listen to. Free time is plenty once there. Our only pointer would be that the wine tasting was more just like sitting for a little and trying 3 cheap wines, but aside from that everyone was very sweet and we had a great time!

Our tour guide, Thais was fantastic, and the Tour around Montserrat and the monastery was great. We then went to the winery and that’s where everything fell apart. First of all the vegan or vegetarian toppers that were ordered were not there and pour.Thais was running around, trying to get that fixed up. In the meantime there were ants, crawling all over the back row of food and chairs. As more ants became visible in the end it was decided that we would need to go and sit outside as there was nowhere else for us to go. So we were in the hot sun, and it didn’t appear that the winery gave us anything extra for our troubles. I would not recommend the winery, although I have to say the wine was very good.

The buses were super comfortable, and the train ride was modern and comfortable. We love history so learning about the entire area through the Guide was informative, interesting and met our expectations.
Beautiful area and views. A must see visit if in Barcelona area.

First, our tour guide Miya was fantastic! She gave so much history on the drive up to Monserrat and also while we were there. Good day trip from Barcelona. Options include lunch, wine tour, etc which would extend the length of time. We chose the regular tour (back by 3:30) and grabbed our own lunch that consisted of the locally made regional Coque bread and purchased cheeses from the local farmer stalls. There are also 2 restaurants so we did not need to bring water as other reviewers have said, unless they were doing hiking during the free time. During your free time we had a choice of hiking, vernacular, more time in the basilica , lunch, etc.

First we were all filed on to a train that was already full. We had to stand for the 10- 15 minute ride. One person in our party had a walker and had to sit on the walker for the trip. Definitely not a great experience to start. The Monastery was beautiful with a great view. After free time to get snacks on our own we were loaded on a bus to a winery . The trip was about 20-25 minutes. It was 33c outside and we had NO air conditioning! It was a miserable trip. People were yelling at the driver to turn the air conditioning on, but I am assuming it did not work, as the trip only got warmer with the sun. Upon arrival we were glad to get off. They did call for a new bus to pick us up, as we refused to board that bus again. Wine tasting was good and the trip back much cooler. The day was ok, but terrible train ride and bus ride were not acceptable. They should be waiting for the next train if it is full. Also the bus should not have left the station without air conditioning . Not acceptable, the way transportation was arranged.

This was one of our favorite tours of our trip to Spain and Portugal. Our guide was great and we enjoyed seeing the monastery but our favorite was the local winery. We sampled several types of wine and had some local tapas. Beautiful setting and very relaxing.

Great day trip from Barcelona to enjoy the Catalonian country side with Food & Drinks. The bus tour was broken into three smaller groups which allowed us to enjoy the sites without a large crow. Our tour guide Montsie ensured a pleasant experience. Additionally, the other tour guides Leslie / Carlos provided entertaining commentary and history on the bus ride to give historical context for the sites that we visit.

Said it was a small group tour it was a packed bus of 50 people which broke into a few groups at the monastery. Never had a wine tasting where the guide had to hand glasses out and make him pass down the table not really much information about the wines food was not great whole experience was a disappointment
