Luc is an exceptional chef and host—attentive, engaging, and incredibly passionate. The ambiance of the space was just as impressive: warm, stylish, and inviting, creating the perfect setting to cook, learn, laugh, and connect. Fernando is at the top of his game! Our family (of 5 adults) participated in this sangria and paella cooking workshop. It ended up being a private class which was still a lot of fun. Although initially a little tricky to find, the setting is unique and well worth the trip. The workshop was so well organized. The sangria and paella were delicious. Fernando who is warm and welcoming, created a party-like atmosphere.
The space and chef were great, but for the price I would have thought had a few more apps to make. We take cooking classes in other countries and usually there is more dishes made for the price point.
What a fun time! We cut veggies and calamari, we combined wine and fruits, and we stirred and created paella. It was wonderful. Tim, our chef, was knowledgeable and light hearted! We ended the night with a limoncello shot and access to the recipes. I would totally recommend this class anytime you are in Barcelona. Delicioso!
Fernando was wonderful! My husband and I took this class as the first of four regional cooking classes and it was the most amazing experience. The perfect way to start our trip. The restaurant is beautiful and the overall vibe was great. We enjoyed the music, the drinks, the lesson itself, our chef Fernando, and of course the food. It was just a chill and lovely way to spend the afternoon. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a good food experience.
This was a 10/10 experience. The venue was excellent. The food fantastic. Wonderful guide and participants. And, it was enjoyable to learn new skills. I highly recommend this experience. Worth every penny.

We had such an incredible experience at this cooking class in Barcelona! It was truly one of the highlights of our trip. The paella we made was easily one of the best we had during our entire visit—so fresh, flavorful, and authentic.
On top of that, we got a wonderful surprise when our class was combined with another group, and we ended up learning how to make tapas as well. Everything was amazing, but I honestly can’t stop thinking about the croquettes—they were absolutely delicious!
Highly recommend this experience to anyone visiting Barcelona. Great food, great atmosphere, and unforgettable memories with family.
Such gracious host and delicious recipe! When another tour canceled because we were the only booking at that time slot, Foodie XP accepted our last minute reservation and welcomed us into their beautiful multi use space. They had a large dining area, full bar, professional kitchen, an outdoor cooking area and one of the best record collections! Fernando is super knowledgeable and you will be able to taste the passion he has in the meal you prepare. One of my top experiences in barcelona!
Definitely worth the time and money! Fernando was an excellent teacher! Lots of good food and fun. Fernando let us make a chicken paella for a fish allergic member and the others of us made the usual seafood. Definitely a great experience!

This is a must do experience with your family or friends. The people at Roots Gastro Pub were amazing and made this a really fun event. The paella was so good and the sangria was a perfect drink to wash it all down! GREAT GREAT GREAT!!!
We had such a great experience! We had 8 in our group and there were 2 other people that joined our class! Lots of good food, fun and fellowship!
The Chef was patient and fun. He took the time to explain every part of the process and shared personal stories of various recipes. My daughter wanted to take notes so she could re-create the dish and he was helpful making sure she had it all. This was a highlight of our trip and would definitely recommend to anyone who loves to cook. Such a great experience!!
My sons and I had a great experience! Our chef was a wonderful teacher with an obvious love for the food and the preparation. In the end, the sangria and paella were delicious. If we make our way back to Barcelona some day, we will be right back in his kitchen!

It says you can cancel 24 hours prior. I booked the wrong date and tried to cancel. Couldn’t get anyone to respond. Called Viator help to try and cancel. Nothing!

Our class with Chef Christina at Foodies XP was the highlight of our time in Barcelona! She’s warm, fun, and incredibly knowledgeable about local cuisine. The food was good and the chef was excellent. It was fun preparing, cooking and making sangria. 👍
But when we were booking we were promised a stunning rooftop expedience. But we ended up with a special event room with a small open outdoor space in an industrial building. We were surrounded by air conditioners and dined on a picnic table surrounded with patio turf. The venue was so disappointing for what we paid for. Definitely not a rooftop expedience!!🥲🥲
The venue contained no signage and we had difficulty locating it.

Oh no, I’m so sorry to hear you didn’t have a great time at the venue! While the food and cooking activities sounded like a blast, the location and setup didn’t quite hit the mark for you. We’ve come a long way from hosting classes in our house to a more professional space. We booked the space before we had the news area ready, so we’re really sorry for not keeping you in the loop. We’re not doing classes on the small rooftop terrace anymore, and we’ll make sure to address these things for future bookings. Thanks a bunch!
We had such a great evening with Christina who was a lot of fun and very helpful while teaching us how to cook an authentic Paella and Sangria! Both DELICIOUS! Highly recommend!

The address on this experience is incorrect. They have moved but the address has not been updated. New location is about a mile away. Make sure you have correct location before booking.
The Venue, staff and food were amazing! They all were so friendly and helpful and taught us a lot about making crusty bread with tomatoes., garlic and olive oil as well as really good Sangria and seafood Paella. I also had a foot injury and they were so kind and helpful with where to get it looked at after the class. All around great experience!
