Our tour guide , Vincent, was wonderful! He was knowledgeable, super nice, and accommodating, and he made the tour delightful! The food samplings of the local fare were very good and the sights were interesting. It's really a fun way to experience the Gothic Quarter of Barcelona If you're booking this tour you should request Vincent.

Vicens from Raphael Tours was excellent, kind, very patient, widely knowledgable, a mix of the Bouqueria market, history, local knowledge. He was so very generous with his time, we tried olives, paella, nougat, pastries, cheese, the seafood & meat in the market look fabulous so a great start to our week in Barcelona. We can now go back to these market sellers & to the small shops outside with a much better idea of what to buy. It started rainy & got a bit heavier but we were so immersed in the tour it did not detract at all. Highly recommend him to everyone looking to gain more about Barcelona. A big thank you to our guide today.

This tour was very enjoyable. Our guide, Sophia, was delightful. We went to the large market and also tasted all kinds of food throughout the tour. Even though there was a lot of walking we would stop at places along the way. Very small group so it was great.

Poor Customer Service

We were scheduled for the food tour yesterday, and were contacted earlier to confirm we would be attending, which I did. On our way via taxi to the meeting spot we ran into huge traffic. I texted, and phoned, the Viator contacts I had, to tell them we would be ten minutes late. If the group could not wait, please let me know where we could meet up with the group. I received nothing from either Viator agent I had contact information from. We arrived at the appointed location, and I tried again to reach our contacts….again, no response, both via phone or text. So, we returned to our hotel via another taxi. The cost was significant for the two taxi rides, and repeated phone calls, and text messages. Over the years, we have spent a great deal of money with Viator without issues. I fully expect to be reimbursed the money already paid for this food tour. My wife and I have future trips in the making, and sadly at this point, they will not include future arrangements with Viator. Peter Clark

Vincent was a very interesting & knowledgeable tour guide not only on the wonderful food to find in Barcelona, but also on the Gothic areas and hidden back streets where there were many areas of historical significance & stores to find gourmet treats. Vincent was easy to be with. The tour did take us to a few places we saw on another tour but mostly through The Gothic Quarter and El Born, which we have not seen. We did go through the market as well. The food tasting wasn’t anything special. We eat well at home so there were no surprises.

Our food tour with Vincent was wonderful! He was very knowledgeable about the area’s buildings and history, and he selected five great food stops—everything was delicioso! Just one tip for future guests: be sure to look for the mosaic on the ground, not on a building, at the meeting point. That detail threw us off a little at first.

VIATOR was not helpful in providing good meeting direction and local contact information.

We were not met at the meeting place at the time scheduled, we went to the next stop hoping to meet the tour. Tried calling tour number provided we not successful, called VIATOR were told to call the same number because they called it and spoke to the tour guide. Could not find tour in market.
