No Show in Amsterdam! No Tour No Refund!

The tour guide didn't come to the port to pick us up! He said he was 30 miles away despite our providing the port information. Also, he refused to issue a refund! This was a horrible and disappointing experience, and now I'm no longer comfortable with booking excursions!

The tour was booked for a walk in Amsterdam, and the port information was given as the Cruise port in Amsterdam. The tourguide was indeed in Amsterdam but the customer was in IJmuiden, a town too far away. No-where in the booking was the tourguide ever told that IJmuiden was the port, in which the walk in Amsterdam would have been impossible anyway. Maybe the customer was misled by the cruise operator that they would be spending the day in Amsterdam, when in fact they were no-where near Amsterdam. We have advised the customer to ask for compensation to those responsible for giving out the wrong information. Our tours are private, so a refund from our end would have meant we would have made cost in good faith showing up where directed and having to pay ourselves for the effort.

Martin was a fantastic guide. We learnt things about Ann Franks past and the things that happened within her community that made her story come to life. Martin was so knowledgeable and had personal experience both from his own life and his parents who lived through that time in history. We highly recommend this tour for everyone!!!
