Great tour guide
Tour guide Ewald was fantastic. He was extremely knowledgeable about the art, economics, history, and the artist's life. Ewald was very well spoken, made the tour very interesting, and all round a nice person. My sister and I felt fortunate to have him show us the best if the Rijks museum.

Great tour for true Amsterdam Culture!
Highly recommend, request Elias as your driver, he's a great guide and person. Tour is excellent to visit true Amsterdam culture, seeing cliffs made, visiting the historic windmills, and then Volendam which is a great true fishing town (recommend eating at 35, then grab stoopwaffels for later!).

Wonderful Amsterdam walk with Anna
Anna was fabulous & catered our walk to the things we like. Seeing the city through the eyes of a local, walking the not so populated streets, seeing the amazing architecture, fantastic restaurants & cafes to visit and the beautiful Vondel park. It was an extremely pleasant 3 hour walk around Amsterdam & we would highly recommend Anna.

Private tour from Amsterdam, windmills, clogs & cheese
Our visit to the windmills, the clog‑making workshop, and the cheese‑making demonstration from Amsterdam was an unforgettable experience that blended history, culture, and hands‑on learning in the best possible way. From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere felt warm and welcoming, and much of that was thanks to our guide, Coen, whose kindness and deep knowledge shaped the entire day.
The windmills were absolutely breathtaking up close. It’s one thing to see them in photos, but standing beside these towering pieces of Dutch history gives you a whole new appreciation for the engineering and craftsmanship behind them. Coen explained their purpose, their evolution, and the role they played in shaping the Netherlands. His explanations were clear, engaging, and filled with interesting details that made the history come alive without ever feeling overwhelming.
The clog‑making demonstration was another highlight. Watching a traditional craft performed with such skill was fascinating, and the process was far more intricate than we expected. The demo guided us through each step, sharing stories about the cultural significance of clogs and how they’ve been used throughout Dutch history. It was both educational and genuinely fun.
The cheese‑making portion of the tour was equally impressive. Learning about the history of Dutch cheese, the techniques used, and the traditions behind it added so much depth to the tasting experience. The samples were delicious, and the explanations helped us appreciate the flavors even more.
One of the things we appreciated most was how Coen let us set the pace. He never rushed us, always checked in to make sure we were comfortable, and gave us plenty of time to explore, ask questions, and take photos. His patience and thoughtful approach made the entire experience feel personal and relaxed.
Overall, this tour was a perfect blend of culture, history, craftsmanship, and scenic beauty. Coen’s kindness, expertise, and easygoing style elevated the experience far beyond a standard tour. We left with a deeper appreciation for Dutch traditions and a genuine sense of connection to the places we visited. Highly recommended — 🧡

The best way to see Amsterdam
It is walking but at a leisurely pace. Our guide Guido was very knowledgeable and made everything interesting but not like a lecture.
We were able to ask questions and get our specific interests explained and the history of it all. Having them purchase our Anne Frank tickets made it so much easy so book early! We were there immediately after Memorial Day so we had some extra history and were able to see impact of war on descenders. Took a tram and had a pie and coffee stop. Great tour!! The non Jewish people in our group really appreciated this history.

Hans was on time, safe drive to the area and a very interesting tour. The pace was good for us, he made sure my husband was able to keep up. The talk was informative. Saw all the sights we wanted to see. Very useful to be able to skip some of the lines as we were with a guide. Would recommend.

Perfect Private Canal Experience with an Amazing Guide
Outstanding experience. The private canal cruise was the perfect way to see Amsterdam. It was relaxing, scenic, and a great break from walking the city. Watching other boats packed with people made us appreciate even more having the boat to just the two of us.
Pap was the highlight. Incredibly knowledgeable, engaging, and easy to talk to. He shared great insights without making it feel like a lecture, which made the whole experience even better.
The boat was comfortable, the drinks were a nice touch, and the pace was exactly right. Easily one of the best things we did in Amsterdam. Highly recommend.

My husband and I took a...
My husband and I took a 45 minute private canal cruise with our skipper Rocco.
We were welcomed onboard with an array of beverages, snacks and a blanket to cuddle up in. Our skipper was very knowledgeable and shared stories of the canals history as we passed landmarks.
He also took lovely pictures for us.
My only regret was not doing the full 90 minute cruise so I recommend planning the extra time to do so.

Sites outside of Amsterdam
Johan was a great host. We learned about the places we visited and about Netherlands culture. Some locations were quite busy and he worked his magic to get us seeing the sites and checked out with our purchased items. I highly recommend this tour for those that want to see sites outside of the city of Amsterdam. The countryside was quite lush and beautiful.

Would 10/10 recommend!
Would 10/10 recommend this private canal tour. Was an excellent small group activity. Pap was a wealth of knowledge, funny, and open to our questions, etc. We are Ted Lasso fans and he even showed us where Rebecca fell in the canal and which house boat they were on!
