Great country experience

Great to head north to the country and see a different part of the Netherlands. Windmills, clogs, cheese tasting and seaside towns are all included in this wonderful day. Rob and Amanda were fantastic, very knowledgeable and gave great history and info on everything we visited. There is quite a bit of walking involved, but can’t recommend the day enough.

Leo the tour guide had a wealth of knowledge about the history in the area. They had a wide selection of food, it was quite fun to taste the different varieties. We spent an informative, fun-filled afternoon with Mickey, as she guided us through some terrific, family-owned shops and cafes. We sampled Dutch apple pie and a cappuccino, four types of Gouda from a local farm, accompanied by a Texel skuumkoppe beer, kapsalon (fries, cheese, donair meat, salad and dressing), and then finished up with bitterballen and genever.

Yummy Amsterdam

Abby was a great guide, enthusiastic and fun. We went to local places and all the food was great. I liked the cheeses the most and my husband loved the sausage and herring. The surprise dessert of French toast and coffee ice cream was a delight. I highly recommend a Sherpa tour!

A great hour on the canals with unlimited drinks and also a snack box. Drinks included ranged from different wines, beer and soft drinks (plus water). We went when it was raining, and we were given an option of travelling in a covered boat or the open boat which was lovely. Would strongly recommend this if you have time (especially at night)

Very Fun Ride Through Amsterdam

This canal cruise was really cool. The cruise took us through Amsterdam and while on the boat, guests where served an unlimited amount of a wonderful tasting Amsterdam cheese and your choice of red or white wine. The cruise lasted about 1 hour, and our host provided some interesting stories along the way. Well worth the price. A lot of fun!

Very informative tour with great snacks

Andrea was our amazing, informative, wonderful guide. She provided a very complete history of the red light district as well as of the city of Amsterdam. Pointed out key buildings and explained events that have shaped the city today. She provided a matter-of-fact descriptions of the historic and current laws regarding the red light district. Stops for pancakes, jenever, croquettes and stroopwaffles added appreciation for the area.

Great Tour, Good Food

Our tour started with apple pie, ended with Dutch croquettes, and was filled with good food and company in between. Our tour guide, Elena, was very sweet and knowledgeable. She shared a lot of history about Dutch food and some of the Jordan District in Amsterdam. She engaged everyone in the group and created situations in which we engaged with each other across the group. This was very useful to us as the canal cruise is in pretty tight quarters. I didn’t love all the food, but I didn’t dislike any of it. That’s just how Dutch food is; good but not great. But, as a tour, I’d recommend this one, especially if Elena is your guide.

Suzanne took us through a fun 1 hour cheese and paired beverage (wine/Beer etc.) tasting. Included in the presentation was some history and cheese making insights from the Henry Willis farm. We were all amazed at the volume of cheese that was offered to us, and the wine smacked. This experience is a must do on your trip to Amsterdam. Thank you Suzanne!!!!
