Amazing experience, highly recommended!
I had the chance to explore Amsterdam with Sebastian, and it exceeded all expectations. He didn’t just give a standard tour, every explanation was engaging, detailed, and full of fascinating insights that made the city come alive. What I appreciated most was how he blended history and culture with personal stories and practical tips about everyday life in Amsterdam. It made the whole experience feel authentic, not just informative. You can really feel his passion for what he does, and it’s contagious. Thanks to him, I discovered hidden spots and interesting details I would have completely missed on my own. If you’re visiting Amsterdam, do yourself a favor and book a tour with Sebastian, it’s absolutely worth it!

March too early for tulips
Keukenhof is incredibly beautiful and we love the windmill cruise too, but our March 26 visit came just too early for the iconic tulip fields. Instead, we wandered through daffodil fields in the tulip farm. Our driver tried to hunt down blooming tulip fields in the surrounding area, but most were still budding. Visit in mid-April if you want to see the famous tulip fields in full bloom.

Great tour!
I loved this tour that visited several countryside areas around Amsterdam. Our guide was fantastic and she told great stories. Her name was Carly, well thats how its spelled in English but who knows how it was really spelled. She was a great guide and she told us things about how Dutch people think. I loved her story about another Dutch person saying her town Almere has no soul. That sort of insight is something you can only get from a local. I loved the group size was only about 20 people, but thats just the benefit of traveling in shoulder season before the high season starts. My favorite part of this tour was Volendam, I really loved it there. I definitely recommend this tour to anyone who wants to see a different side to the Netherlands.

Amsterdam is a fantastic base for exploring not only the Netherlands but also neighboring Belgium, as both UNESCO World Heritage-listed Bruges and the capital, Brussels, are easy Amsterdam day trips. Other great day trip options highlight Dutch country classics, from Keukenhof tulips to Zaanse Schans windmills via dams, dykes, cheesemakers, and clog factories. Try porcelain-making Delft, cosmopolitan The Hague, or Rotterdam, the Netherlands’ second city for a more urban day out. Whether your tastes run to food or culture, nature or history, there’s an Amsterdam day trip with your name on it.
