Highlight tour of Amsterdam and the countryside

Bucket list tour, but recommend not doing on peak days as there is a fair amount of city riding and the traffic - especially other cyclists and scooters can be nerve-wracking if not outright dangerous. The e-bikes are terrific. Ours were less than six months old so they worked perfectly. It does sound like the fleet is turned over regularly and they are very good quality. Not a lot of work at all and very comfortable for those who haven’t ridden much and have yet to desensitize their backsides from bike seat trauma. Pack a water bottle even though there are drinks available at the cheese tasting. There is bungee rack to stow jackets, sealed water bottles or small bags so you can come prepared if it’s a cooler start. Skip, our guide, was also amazing. Friendly, knowledgeable and very good at coaching how to safely navigate the different areas without getting yourself into trouble. The stops were all very timely and photo-worthy. The cheese was delicious and the views of the countryside and small villages were well worth the price of admission. Don’t plan anything immediately after or expect to be done in three hours as they do run 15-30 minutes longer, though you’ll likely be more disappointed to have it end.

Fun Tour!

Dennis, our tour guide, was amazing!! His joy and passion for sharing Amsterdam created an incredible experience. Each stop along the tour offered a window into the culture and delicious foods of the area. Dennis was very well organized and knowledgeable as he shared specific and detailed information about the history, the ingredients, and the quality of the various foods while we walked from one stop to the next. Our guide Victoria was great. Met us on time at the meeting point, was very friendly, spoke English perfectly and was prepared. Most importantly her knowledge and passion for Van Gogh and his art was impressive. As a result we were made aware of aspects we would have missed or not known about. The tour was well paced. Victoria was open to different views in the group about the art which is important given the nature of art. Highly recommend this tour.

Tour steeped in important reflection and personal stories

This was a fantastic tour. Our guide Eva was very knowledgeable and she shared openly about her family’s history with the war and Camp which made the experience that much more touching. She also customized the experience for our family who was visiting from Canada. This was a very important lesson for our kids and a time for reflection.

Kasteel de Haar Tour

We really enjoyed our tour of the Kasteel de Haar. It's a beautiful castle and gardens complex with a fascinating backstory of how it came to be. There's a restaurant on the property and the food was delicious and the service excellent. Our guide Ava was very knowledgeable and friendly and brought the whole tour to life. We would recommend this tour, which is just about a 30 minute drive outside of Amsterdam.

This was a great tour- I...

This was a great tour- I liked that we didn’t go to too busy of tourist spots- we went to a local cafe for our half way break. We biked through picturesque farmlands and learned a lot of about the dams and terrain. Would definitely encourage friends to go. William was a great guide. Thank you!

Nice overview of Holland customs

Windmills, cheese, shoes, seaside. All included and very nice overview of Netherland customs. Volendam was a very nice seaside community to stop for lunch and enjoy the views. Walked on and drove along dikes and heard about the city and effects of water. Tour was 5 hours. Could have used 6 to spend more time at the windmill museum. We did leave a little late, ending late. Canal tour scheduled afterwards and was a push to make. (Scheduled 45 minutes after scheduled end of the tour.) I would recommend this tour for an overview of the countryside and Dutch customs.

Very enjoyable...

Very enjoyable experience, the time in the gardens was just perfect, not too long, not too short. Good time to wander around and have lunch there. The visit to the windmills was also very unique experience with plenty of time to enjoy the different shops, learn the history of the place and take some wonderful photos!

A lovely morning at...

A lovely morning at Kuekenhof Gardens. Well organised from picking up the tickets at the Tours and Tickets in Amsterdam Station and transfer by coach from just ouside the station to the Gardens. Best to get there early before the crowds build up. The Gardens were lovely and tulip displays were impressive. Transfer back to Amsterdam was timely and comfortable. A good visit!

If you want to learn about Jewish history and what life was like in Amsterdam during WWII, this is the tour for you. Well worth the money our guide Manuel was very knowledgeable. He answered all our questions and we particularly liked the photos he shared with us. It made the history so much more touching.
