Note to NCL travelers, this is a 45 minute commute from the port of IJmuiden and is not consudered a "guided tour". However Hamza saved the day. He picked us up, showed us the sites, stayed with us and had some great recommendations. Plus he is extremely polite.

We had an unforgettable countryside tour with the local driver, he took us to the zaanse schans, cheese farm and volendam. I got the feeling that he was very experienced and did everything to give us a good tour. thank you very much and I will definitely come back

Horrific

This is not a “tour”. This is a private car/driver. This driver had some kind of sores all over his hands and a sore on his head that he picked the entire time he drove us around… lovely! Also, admission to the specialty windmills, museum, bathrooms, etc is not included. The main entrance to the windmills, clog factory and cheese factory is free to everyone, so this description is misleading. The driver did not appreciate having to turn on his AC in his vehicle. This “tour” was absolutely useless. When booking a “private tour” I would have assumed the driver would have been able to tell us about the countryside, the towns, the history, etc. 100% just book through a hotel or a different service. Total waste of money.

However, we find the review quite disrespectful, also towards our driver, despite the fact that he did his utmost for you. There is no mention of a private guide present, so this is not included. We certainly do not pay for a for the toilet that you are going to enter and a map that you bought yourself.

The driver got us to the destinations . He was a driver but not a tour guide. We thought he would give us history and information but he only drove us around. He was a very nice guy, but we thought we were also getting a tour guide.

Hi Terry, a extra private guide is not the case, nor is this stated anywhere in our service. You could have avoided this by carefully reading what is included in a service before making a booking. We are happy to hear that all other expectations have been met.
