We pickup in front of the Mt. Roberts Tramway building on the road side of the building. You will be directly under tram cables located at 490 South Franklin St, Juneau Alaska. Look for your guide who will be holding up a Segway sign. Please be 10-15 minutes before tour start time. Thanks!

I was a little anxious about falling off the segway, but thank goodness that didn't happen. Our guides Claire and Alme where excellent in giving me extra attention during the tour that kept me safe and reduced my fears. The scenery was beautiful and we saw so many eagles and a few porcupines during the tour. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS TOUR!!!

We were with Kyler and Mallory, who were professional and fun guides. My wife and I were new to Segways but it was ez. Our tour was 3 hours total, with maybe 20 minute drive to/from pick-up point to a clearing, then 30 minutes to unload and train on Segways. We then road Segways on the shoulder of a road to a forest trailhead for easy hour long hike by the lake with distant Mendenhall glacier views. Perfect weather, so a great day. Good excursion for cruisers.

Kyler and Alli are amazing. Friendly, upbeat and very helpful. I would have preferred more time riding the Segways as there is a long training period and multiple nature activities.

We understand that you would have preferred more time riding the Segways. Our Coastal Scenic Rainforest Tour includes approximately 1.5 hours of Segway riding and covers more than 5 miles. As outlined in our tour description, this experience is intentionally designed to include several stops along the way. We take time to get every guest properly trained and comfortable on the Segways, and throughout the tour we also step off the Segways to explore the rainforest, take in the scenery, and enjoy some of the unique natural features of Douglas Island.
These stops are an important part of what makes our Coastal Scenic Rainforest Tour different from a typical Segway experience. We specialize in small-group tours and want our guests to have an immersive and personal experience in the Alaskan rainforest and along the coastline, rather than simply spending the entire tour riding from one point to another.
For guests looking for a more continuous, faster-paced and adventurous Segway experience, our Alpine Segway Trail may be a better fit. That tour takes place directly in the rainforest on a cross-country ski trail in the mountains and is more focused on trail riding and exploring the terrain.

This was an awesome experience!! We love Segways so we had a great time. The scenery was beautiful, we got to see the glacier from a distance, couple waterfalls, and they took us on a hike to a beach. The guides Serena and Alta were so friendly and informative, we had an amazing time!

Our guides were wonderful. But we did little in the way of riding a Segway. I would not do this tour or suggest this tour to anyone for this reason. We did approximately 21/2 miles round trip on a Segway ☹️

Our Coastal Scenic Rainforest Segway Tour is intentionally designed to be a relaxed, scenic sightseeing experience rather than a fast-paced ride. The focus is on exploring the beautiful coastline of Douglas Island, taking in views of the mountains and Mendenhall Glacier, learning about the area's history and wildlife, and stopping along the way for photos and exploration. Throughout the tour, we get off the Segways at several locations so guests can fully enjoy the scenery, including a walk through the rainforest to a local secluded beach. These stops allow guests to experience the beauty of Southeast Alaska beyond the ride itself.
The tour covers approximately five miles by Segway, but we understand that if you were hoping for a more ride-focused adventure, it may not have been the experience you were expecting. Because we want guests to know exactly what they're booking, we describe this tour across our website and booking platforms as a leisurely, sightseeing-focused experience.
For guests looking for a faster-paced adventure, our Rainforest eBike Experience follows the same scenic coastal route while covering a greater distance. We also offer our Alpine Segway Adventure in the Eaglecrest area, where guests ride off-road on packed gravel trails through the rainforest for a more adventurous Segway experience. Each of our tours is designed to offer a unique way to experience Southeast Alaska, allowing guests to choose the adventure that best matches their interests.

A Segway voyage along a road adjacent to the ocean and a forest. Lasted a couple hours. Phoenix is a great guide with tons of knowledge about the local flora and fauna. We also took a short hike through a dense, lush forest with a hiking trail. We photographed bald eagles, porcupines, woodpeckers, Jay's. and a great view of Mendenhall glacier. I highly recommend!

When its one's first time riding a Segway, it is easy to wonder if you can really ride them. They are easy to pick up, and our guides are experts at teaching guests how to ride safely and properly. There is no reason to stress or fear the Segways!

This was a phenomenal experience. Would highly recommend. Although I am glad my parents didn’t come because the balance issues on the way back down the hill on the Segway had me rocking and scrambling to slow down. Stressed me out. We had an eagle land, probably 20 yards in front of us and hang out, which was pretty cool and we could see the mountain off in the distance. William stopped several times and took pictures for us since we were the only two in the tour so he was our personal tour guide. So kind and patient! If you don’t feel like you have great balance, I recommend the E bikes instead of the Segways but otherwise well worth the money.

That being said, we so have our eBike tour which is also lots of fun for those who may struggle with balancing.

We loved this adventure! Our guides, Dan and Carli, were fantastic and very knowledgeable about Alaskan wildlife, history and plants. We started the tour with the Mendenhall Glacier as our stunning background. The tour ended in an enchanting rain forest with a hike down to the ocean. Segways are always fun for the kids. Highly recommend this tour!

Such a fun way to see Juneau! Away from the crowds and a little bit of everything: fun and easy to maneuver Segway; views of Mendenhall glacier; waterfalls; flowers; trees and plants, RAINFOREST!; eagles; seal catching jumping fish!; tranquil nature.
Phoenix was a wonderful, knowledgeable and patient tour guide, as well as a local with insider intel.
This was my first time using a Segway and it was super easy to learn and use. The tour included a short van ride, Segway tour, mini-hike, water and snack, and access to a restroom (ok, it’s a port-a-potty but I wasn’t complaining!!!) I recommend this tour wholeheartedly.

Having never ridden a Segway before, I was a bit apprehensive. I was thr only person who had paid for the coastal tour which no other people had signed up for, so they called and let me change to the other option. It was the most most fun I've had on an excursion. I highly recommend for the excitement, the caring nature of the guides, and the experience. An excellent tour to enjoy in Juneau.
