Itinerary
The best way to get from the Cruiseship port to the Mendenhall Glacier and back efficiently. With this round-trip tour you get a 30 minute narrated tour past the historic downtown, 2 hours to explore the park at your pace, the same guide brings you back to the cruise ship terminal. Pickup and drop-off points are located at the cruise ship terminal near the Goldbelt Mount Roberts Tramway. Your transfer will be confirmed instantly after making a booking. (Note to cruise-ship passengers: Please provide your ship name, docking time, and disembarkation reboarding times.)
During the 3 hour tour to the Mendenhall Glacier Visitor Center, your driver shares advice on how to explore the glacier, provides insight into Juneau history and points out well-known sites. On the return trip, listen for recommendations on where to grab a bite to eat in Juneau.

This was an excellent excursion. Our trolly driver was amazing. so full of information and enthusiasm about what he was teaching us. We were with family and friends and we all loved it. The glacier park was amazing as well with a great hike and lots of amazing views.

Comfortable trolley ride to the glacier with ample time to complete a hike to Nugget Falls (approximately 22 minutes each way). Visitor center is a must—the view is amazing and informative. The ladies room only has 3 stalls so use the trailer outside.
Mendenhall Glaciers absolutely worth a look however I do not recommend booking this tour. Absolutely book through your cruise company for this one. We were late getting into port due to weather and getting off the ship took longer than usual and we missed our tour time. Viator and this third party company Juneau Tours blaming the other for the reason that a refund can’t be issued saying the other isn’t authorizing it there fore there isn’t anything that they could do unfortunately.
Will definitely be more careful and in certain ports by not using these services and booking directly via my ship excursions offerings.
Nice trolley ride 30- 40 minutes to mendanhall
Driver provides excellent information along the way. You are on your own at the park , plenty of time to walk to the falls 1 Mile, see mendanhall at different points.

The glacier is an amazing sight. Highly recommended. The driver was waiting at the cruise port when we got off the ship. Very easy to find. Organised. Staff friendly. Joey was a breath of fresh air. Thankyou.
If ur not going to Nugget Falls, it’s a long wait for the bus to get back to pick u up. Troy, our guide was the best part of the tour. Made the tour very interesting.
It is not what it sounds like.You are dropped off & then picked back up 2 hrs later. I will say that our driver Joey was awesome.
Our tour guide was great. He provided lots of interesting information. The tour provided the perfect amount of time for a group of nine with 2 small children to enjoy the glacier and waterfall.
Due to the rain, I wish there had been more than a small covered area to wait for the trolley at the end of the excursion. We had to stand in the rain because there was no covered space available. We had a longer wait than expected because the trolley was running late to the pick up spot, for reasons out of the guide’s control.

Easy way to get to the Glacier. They give you two hours until pick up. If you want to leave after one hour, you can if they have space on the shuttle.

Stunning views worth the walk from the visitor center. Our trolley driver Mary was both funny and full of information.
Very informative and entertaining tour guide (Troy Ford), who suggested the best walking trails for seeing the falls and glacier. The bus dropped us off conveniently at the start of the walking trails and allowed ample time for us to explore all the sights.
The visitor center, with a short film and exhibits, is worth your time.

It’s absolutely worth it to leave Juneau and travel by shuttle up to Mendenhall Glacier and take in all the trails and the visitors centre. Our driver and guide was fun and informative! We enjoyed him very much!

Fantastic trip, very knowledgeable driver who gives lots of local information and advise. Very happy to answer questions. Trolly bus very convenient mode of transport, warm and comfy for a short ride (about 20 mins to visitor centre). Glacier is a must see trip
Kenton our driver was fantastic and super informative. He spotted wildlife whiling driving that a normal person would never see. His knowledge and presentation made the adventure fun and educational. I would highly recommend this trip to anyone.
This was EXTREMELY overpriced!! Basically it is a shuttle to take you to and from the entrance of the glacier park. Entrance to the Mendenhall Glacier is only $5 per person. We paid over $150. The glacier hike itself was nice and has beautiful scenery, but I would not recommend paying this much for a shuttle. Another couple on our cruise paid a fraction of the price to get transportation.

This service takes you all the way to the Mendenhall visitor center! What a lovely walk to the Falls! Be sure to dress warmly in September.

Excellent trip, especially for the reasonable cost. This excursion brings takes you to Mendenhall Glacier offering a number of excellent viewing points. But the added feature is the easy hike to Nugget Falls. And you can hike right to the edge of the falls; it doesn’t get better that. This excursion easily gives you enough time to do both of these activities. Great bang for your buck.

This is a trolley or a bus ride to Medenhall glacier which then you'll also be able to see in the waterfall. You need to be able to walk over a mile but the path is paved. The driver was excellent, he gave us 2 hours, he was knowledgeable with facts on the riide there and back. Total time was exactly a stated 3 hours.
Great trip. Driver/guide was excellent, informative and fun. Glacier was great, wished I had spent more time in information centre. Stewardship of site is excellent.
Very nice way to get to the glacier. Drops you near the visitor center and you can choose which trails you want to take. Plenty of time to explore without being too long.
