This trip was SO much fun! Dan was knowledgeable, charismatic, & quite funny! Ali was sweet, attentive, & enthusiastic. They took excellent care of us. From pick up, which was easy to find, we went across to Douglas Island, got fitted for our bikes & helmets, & took off! This e-bike experience was my first & now I want one! It was just the little boost I needed to get up the hills. They took us to really cool places I wouldn’t have known how to get to. Their knowledge of the local flora & fauna was awesome! We even got to eat wild blueberries!! I’d highly recommend this tour to anyone who thinks it sounds like something they’d like. If you’re on the fence, let this be your sign: do it! Thanks Dan & Ali! We really enjoyed this tour! Serena and James were great guides and provided lots of information about Alaska and the local plants and wildlife. The bike ride was so scenic and it was a great way to get away from the crowds.

Great excursion! ENjoyed the e-bike tour, especially seeing and stoppping at some beautiful waterfalls. Our guide Phoenix was outstanding- very knowledgable and fun. Was one of the best tours we did .. wasn’t offered by cruise ship so we went with viator who we have used alot . And again they delivered - Kyler and Phoenix guiddd us and had so much info about local plants and history - my wife fell over ( while stopped) and scrapped her hand and the guys were on it with first aid ( bandaids) . Just a great experience - bikes were electric and in great shape -

I’m also glad we were able to take care of your wife when she had her little spill. Fortunately, minor accidents like this are uncommon, but we always want to be prepared when they do happen. Our guides are trained and certified in first aid and carry first-aid supplies with them, so they’re ready to respond quickly and appropriately if a guest needs assistance. I’m glad our team was able to take care of her and get her comfortable before continuing with the adventure.

EBiking through the Tongass National Forest area allows you fantastic views of Mendenhall Glacier and surrounding areas. The hike through the forest also is en educational experience of the plants and trees in the area. Our guides had a depth of knowledge of the area and made the experience very engaging and fun! Highly recommend! Don’t let the biking scare you, the equipment was in great condition and the effort can be what you want with the help of the e-bike.

eBiking can seem daunting to those who have never ridden before, but our Class 1 pedal-assist eBikes make for a smooth and easy ride. Many of our first-time riders are surprised by how quickly they become comfortable and how much they enjoy the experience. The pedal assist allows each guest to choose how much effort they want to put in while still enjoying the ride and scenery. We want everyone to feel comfortable, confident, and able to enjoy the experience at their own pace.

Wonderful experience. Our guides, Phoenix and Kyler, were friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. We ride e-bikes but our friends had never been on them and were made to feel very comfortable before setting off. I would recommend this tour.

Fun and informative. A ride to the end of the road, passing by sightseeing stops of the glacier. Stop in the middle for a light hike through the forest, with a ton of interesting facts. My 12 year old and teenagers loved the entire time. Shout out to Phoenix and Kyler, great guides

The E-bike rain forest excursion was really in my opinon misleading. You ride a e-bike on a 2 lane road then stop and walk into the forest and talk about plants. I paid $180 but it's maybe worth $75 at best.

We would like to clarify the experience our tour is designed to provide. Our tour descriptions outline the adventure as an eBike ride along the scenic coastline of Douglas Island, followed by a rainforest exploration on foot. Guests ride along a low-traffic road with a dedicated bike lane, with the water on one side and the Tongass National Rainforest on the other. Along the route, guests enjoy beautiful views that many visitors describe as a highlight of their time in Juneau.
The route we have chosen is intentional, allowing guests of varying experience levels to comfortably enjoy the scenery, learn about the local environment, and safely experience the beauty of Douglas Island. As outlined in our tour descriptions, this is not an off-road mountain biking excursion. Instead, it is designed to provide a unique combination of coastal riding, rainforest exploration, and local storytelling that showcases the natural beauty and history of Juneau.
The stops along the way are an important part of the experience and are designed to give guests the opportunity to step off the bikes and experience Alaska in a more personal way. Our guides share the history, ecology, and unique features of the area, helping guests connect with the rainforest beyond simply passing through it. The rainforest walk is an immersive experience that allows visitors to explore an environment that many travelers never have the opportunity to experience.
Our tour price is $170 per person and reflects the complete experience, including quality eBikes, knowledgeable local guides, safety instruction, and the opportunity to explore both the coastline and rainforest in a small-group setting where guests receive a more personal experience. We have welcomed many guests who have shared how much they enjoyed the unique perspective this tour provides and the opportunity to experience a side of Alaska that many visitors never get to see.

Phoenix was a spectacular guide. The e-bikes were easy to learn and fun to ride. The scenery during the bike ride was the best these eyes have ever seen. The overall experience was fantastic. The train ride was interesting, we learned an incredible amount of Alaskan history while looking at amazing landscapes. The ladies leading the ride were knowledgeable, friendly, and upbeat. They made all levels of riders feel welcome. However, if we are expected to climb a hill, which was a refreshing expectation, it would be helpful if the bikes were better maintained so we could get into those lower gears easily.

We had 3 generations (ages 17-75) and we ALL had a great time. We were on a cruise stop and had no problem walking the short distance from our ship to the meeting point. The bikes were in excellent condition and helmets were provided. We rode at a comfortable pace and had interesting stops, especially the walk through the forest to the beach. Do NOT book if there is any possibility of rain in the forecast. First, let me mention, I realize there is a cancellation policy in place. I understood it when I signed up and I get why companies do this. There are employee salaries and other costs to cover from a business standpoint.
While I understand that, there should be some discretion involved as well. There had been rain forecast for our three Alaskan cruise stops days before our trip. We had excursions for all our stops and were keeping an eye on the forecast during our cruise.
Ketchikan had rain forecast for the day of our stop there up until the morning before our day there. Luckily there was no rain and we went through with our excursion there and had a blast riding electric bikes and hiking along Lunch Creek Trail.
There was also rain forecast for our last stop the morning of the stop in Skagway. This was forecast of rain was up to the start time of our excursion at this particular stop. We also went through with this excursion and really enjoyed the adventure park and zip line tour.
Both great experiences.
Unfortunately our stop in Juneau and our experience with this company was entirely different.
First, the meeting point instructions weren't accurate.
We were looking for a "Segway sign" per the instructions and we couldn't find anyone with such a sign. A short while later we found the person there to meet us, holding a different sign.
More importantly it rained in Juneau from the moment we pulled into the pier until the moment we left. We were hoping to have this company understand that we didn't feel comfortable riding in the rain and the rep there to pick us up didn't provide any assurances we'd be fine riding in the rain other than stating "yeah, it always rains here, we're just used to it". No description of the ride was provided, no info on the traffic conditions surrounding us was provided and no alternatives were offered.
We told the rep we'd like to cancel. She called her boss and was told there'd be no refund due to their policy. No discussion, no offer to pay a discounted rate. I would have been more than OK to pay for one of the two tickets for their inconvenience... but absolutely nothing was offered.
This is just a warning to all, if there is any apprehension of riding in the rain, and even the slightest chance of rain is in the forecast... cancel according to their policy to get your money back and not have to pay for services not received.

All of Southeast Alaska is part of the Tongass National Rainforest, and rain is a normal part of our climate. While wet weather is common, we never operate our tours in unsafe conditions. Our eBike Rainforest Adventure takes place on North Douglas Island in an area that often experiences significantly drier weather than downtown Juneau due to a local rain-shadow effect. Because weather conditions can vary greatly across Juneau, we do not cancel tours based solely on a forecast.
On the day of your scheduled tour, it was raining heavily downtown. Our guide explained that conditions at the tour location are often different from those at the cruise docks and that the tour would still be operating safely.
Safety is always our top priority. Our eBikes are designed to operate safely in wet conditions, and our guides provide training and support before every tour. Many guests arrive concerned about the weather and ultimately tell us afterward that the tour was one of the highlights of their Alaska vacation.
Regarding the meeting location, we appreciate the feedback. We have reviewed and corrected our arrival instructions to ensure they are as clear as possible for future guests.
We appreciate that you understand the purpose of our cancellation policy. Our 24-hour cancellation policy is applied consistently to all guests because equipment, transportation, and staffing are reserved in advance. While we certainly understand weather concerns, forecasts in Southeast Alaska frequently change and often differ significantly from actual conditions at our tour location.
We genuinely regret that you did not have the opportunity to experience the tour itself, and we wish we could have shown you the beautiful rainforest, mountain scenery, and local areas that so many of our guests enjoy. We appreciate your feedback and wish you the very best in your future travels.
