Although the day started out drizzling, by the time the boat arrived where the humpback whales were, the drizzling stopped and we were able to see a mother whale and her two babies swimming around the boat. The captain knew where to whales would be and the two naturalists on board were very informative. It was an enjoyable day overall.

Our all female crew was incredibly personal able and informative. They did a great job of getting us close to a feeding group of humpback whales and were as excited as the guests were to see them.

Well organized. Knowledgeable staff. Griffin, our guide, has high energy and made the excursion so much fun! We saw a total of 14 whales. I took many videos and photos. This trip was worth every penny!!

Such a great time to see whales feed, we even got to see bubble netting! The process to find their tent, get to the bus and then boat was very easy and efficient. The naturalists were very helpful while we viewed the whales.

This was a great tour. The bus ride to the experience was led by an informative driver. The boat was clean and the ride was very smooth. The guide was knowledgeable about the whales. We had a particularly lucky day on the water and saw at least 10 different whales, and they were bubble feeding!

We saw no less than 19 whales! Justin was a great captain. Griffin & Ash were wonderful guides. We had beautiful weather and calm water. The boat was set up great for viewing~

We had such an amazing experience whale watching. The website said there was a 100% chance of seeing whales and it was not wrong. I just didnt know how close they would come up to our boat. We had one come up like 3 feet away from our boat. It scared me at first because it was so close. For the next minute I was shaking so bad from being so excited that I couldn’t find the video button on my phone. Seeing the humpbacks (we ended up having like 6 or so swim by and in front of us) was so incredible. I’ve had to brag to all of my friends about it! Would definitely do it again!

What a wonderful time we had. Alaska Tails does a first rate job. They were prompt, friendly and knowledgeable. The scenery was beyond compare and we saw Orca and Humpbacks whales. We had an all female crew and they were simply the best. Krichelle, Claire and Ash were knowledgeable, friendly and invested in the protecting the environment and promoting the welfare of the whales. Plus, Claire was able to explain and show us about the interesting topic of "Bird Bricks".

Do not sleep on this tour! Well worth the money! Perfect day to go out with Captain Michelle, Claire and Morgan! Saw beautiful humpback whales (8 of them in one little pod) over and over and over again. Saw additional whales and other beautiful sea life!

The whole experience was incredible from start to finish. Friendly staff at the dock, bus driver was full of life and enthusiasm.
Whales were in rare form and everyone on the boat seemed to love what they do.

We saw both orcas and humpbacks, so the tour was a success! it was very exciting to experience whale watching and with the help of our crew, it made it even more memorable. James, Taylor and Morgan did an outstanding job of explaining the area, what we could possibly see or not see, and a lot of information about the whales and how they exist. It was very well done! Also I must mention our bus driver Aiden who kept us entertained on the drive to the marina. He had the entire bus laughing non stop! Great Job Aiden

Well organized and everyone was very knowledgeable from the bus/boat drivers to the tour guides. The bus and boat were also very, very comfortable.
Loved not only seeing the whales, but also learning more about them.

We saw more whales than on any other trip ever. We even saw bubble netting by a pod of whales. Something very rare, the brew Brenden, Gwen and Sophie were great. They were fun, informative and helpful. They were able to answer all questions and knew all about the local whales.

This was a great experience, made better by the effect crew we had: Captain Michelle, Nate, and über excitable whale need Griffin. We saw orcas, pretty, and a lot of humpbacks. Griffin was VERY excited. Flukes, breaches, and feeding.

The whale watching experience was amazing! The tour guides were excellent! We saw so many whales, orcas, and seals! The bus ride, however, was painful. It was a school bus (too small for a tall person like me) and very crowded. Also we were not told we were going to pick up additional passengers which added about an hour to our tour. It was very unpleasant But, again, the whale experience was fantastic! If only they could improve the ride to and from the boat.

We saw so many whales today. Multiple humpbacks at the same time and the whales came so close at one point. We could see their blowholes and hear them volcalizing to each other. The crew was very respectful of the whales, the whales just happened to pass by us when the captain had the boat off
Great job crew! Very knowledgeable staff, and so helpful. At one point there were so many whales we couldn't count them!
If snack is important to you, there is no snack bar. We we're offered a rice Kristie treat or a granola bar.
Small group and plenty of space for everyone to see. About 40 people on our boat, but didnt feel crowded.
