Overall- great experience. Due to restrictions on the beach, be aware that you will be taking the kayak on a dolley from the store to the beach. It isnt horribly far but if someone is mobility limited, it might be somewhat challenging

Great adventure, guided kayaking. Enjoyed getting out on the water for a couple hours. Stopped at flat island and discussed geography of the area. Nice relaxed adventure. Justin and Tupre were great.

The team at Kailua Beach Adventures took great care of us with this 2+ hour guided kayak tour to Popoia Island! Our excellent guide Issac made sure we were safe and informed prior to getting in the water. Once we deployed at the beach he led six of us (in three 2-person kayaks) on a 30-45 min journey out to the flat island. Though only a quarter of a mile away, we had strong April winds to battle! (One couple overturned twice but Issac and a safety guide who also kayaked out with us helped them back into their kayaks.) Once on the island, we received an eco-tour led by Issac, learned about the island formation, the nesting birds, took some fantastic pictures and enjoyed the view of the amazing kite surfers just beyond the island. Once back in our kayak, with the wind at our back, it was a short 15 minute return to beautiful Kailua Beach Park. I highly recommend this 2-hour tour with Kailua Beach Adventures for both experienced and beginner kayakers!

Brandon our guide was truly the best. He is very knowledgeable about the history and geography of the Hawaiian islands as well as the wildlife in the area. We saw a green turtle swimming next to our kayak and lots of birds nesting on Flat Island. We love guided tours, otherwise we miss the fun details !

I highly recommend this kayaking trip, especially for beginners. Really enjoyed visiting Popoia Island and all the background on it that our guide provided.
Evelyn our guide was wonderful, very good at what she does and very patient. One of the kayakers in our group was having difficulties, and she came to her aid immediately and confidently.
One comment I would make for the company sponsoring this trip is that there be better instructions on directions due to the road construction going on in Kailua. We used the Google map directions that were attached but Google didn't know about the detour!

Mike was great! We had a brat of a kid with us from the other family that went with us and Mike was beyond patient and kind to the kid even when the parents were completely tuned out. Kayaking was amazing and views were spectacular. Loved being able to take out snorkels and boogie board after our kayaking for free! Food was great. Overall good experience in spite of the horrible parenting of our companion family. I would have preferred to not ohana that family.

I was disappointed that half the trip was not kayaking but walking round an island. I don’t believe it was advertised that way. Also, the extensive distance you had to drag the kayak was not reasonable. It was explained that this had something to do with the local council, but this was not really advertised either. My husband did all the heavy lifting, but if it had been me and a girl friend I don’t know how we would have managed, as I was not experienced.

First time kayaking as a family, it was so fun doing something new with our teenage kids and realizing that they can do so much better than us! Grant was a tour guide. He made sure we were safe in navigating the waves. The waves were bit strong because it was really windy day when we went. We learned a lot of little facts about the island that we were traveling to. Also got some awesome photos that our tour guide took of us.

We really enjoyed our kayak trip. 2 hours was a good amount of time for us as beginner kayakers and we enjoyed the information that the tour guides gave. It was really nice to have access to bikes and snorkeling gear after our kayak trip. We were able to make a full day out of it!

Our tour guide Hopoe was so awesome. She was super knowledgeable about Hawaiian culture and traditions. She taught us all sorts of facts about Hawaiian history, culture, plants and animals. Not only was our kyaking experience awesome, but you also get access to most of their beach equipment (snorkels, bikes, fins, chairs, mats, boogie boards, etc.) for the rest of your day! As well as 15% off at their store!! I did not know all of this was included so I was pleasantly surprised! I recommend doing your activity in the early morning do you have the rest of the day to indulge in their equipment and enjoy Kailua.

It was an amazing experience and way to start our vacation! We toured with Brian and Ian and they were amazing and fun to spend the day with! I loved the kayak portion and after the package included bikes, lunch, chairs and snorkel gear! We spent the whole day on the north shore and loved every moment out of it!
