Very disappointed! The captain seemed like he didn’t want to be there and barely spoke. Was just on his phone most of the time. We were given peanuts to feel the raccoons which they didn’t seem to like. Luckily, someone brought a bunch of cat food so we were able to see them. The raccoons were the only highlight of the excursion. Then went to a sandbar where we had 25 minutes to hang out. Then saw 6 homes owned by wealthy people but you could hardly hear the captain mention them. Was no microphone. That literally was it and the two crew members were just blah- had no enthusiasm. If you wanted to purchased a ham sandwich it was $24. Needless to say, I would not recommend this tour. Just visit the raccoons in your backyard!

Travelers should know that Viator had both the description of this experience and the start time wrong. We almost missed the boat. Once on the boat it was a super fun experience. Raccoon Island was a lot of fun- bring bug spray! You can also bring coolers and your own food on board.

I initially questioned if I wanted to pay for this experience or go it alone. Really glad I paid for this. Guide, Zoe, is a local, was great with all of us on the tour, and was able to insert all sorts information about the island and everything and every place we passed along the way. Well worth the money. Memorable tour!

Bring sunscreen, watch your belongings so don’t blow off boat. A little girl lost her hat to wind. There is no fresh water really at island so the raccoons loved drinking water from the bottle. They are friendly but I did see people trying to pet them like a dog or cat. That’s just an invitation for them to bite you. They would jump back nervously. One person brought a small Tupperware type of bowl and a huge bottle of water. The raccoons all scattered to it to drink and wash hands and play in the water. Just make sure to bring home more trash from island. The sandbar swimming with floats looked fun but if you have knee issues the ladder is a double knee push up ladder so too high for my old knee replacement. Crew Zoey and Ren were very friendly and Ren drove us smoothly to our points. Both worked well together when anchoring etc so made you feel safe while on boat.

We had so much fun! The guides were chill and very friendly. Gave lots of good info and had jokes to keep things fun. The island absolutely delivered—lots of raccoons, iguanas, and hermit crabs. The boat was clean and comfy, and my family had a blast!

If you're contemplating this tour... DO IT!
I took my sons, ages 20 and 15, and they both said it was the best part of our trip. The boat ride was lively, with great music, a fun atmosphere, and interesting information about the area as we made our way to the island.
Once on the island, you can join a short guided tour or explore on your own. I highly recommend exploring independently. We encountered raccoons almost immediately! As long as you respect the animals and their environment, you'll have an unforgettable and positive experience.
The sandbar and swimming stop were also a blast and the perfect way to cool off and relax. By the end of the day, we were happy, exhausted, and ready for a late dinner in Little Havana.
This tour delivered adventure, wildlife, beautiful scenery, and plenty of family memories all in one experience. It was absolutely worth it, and I'd recommend it to anyone visiting the Miami area!

Zoe and Alex were fantastic! Tunes were top notch, the jokes were flowing and Zoe gave a great island tour to exactly where the raccoons were on the island. 100% recommend this was such a fun excursion!

We had such a great time on the Raccoon Island Adventure party boat! The crew was super friendly, the ride was fun, and getting to see the raccoons up close was an unforgettable experience. The views were beautiful, and the whole trip had a fun, laid-back vibe. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for something unique to do. Just a friendly tip: there are quite a few mosquitoes on the island, so don’t forget to bring some bug spray. Other than that, it was a perfect day! 😊🦝🚤☀️

Zoey was extremely entertaining and Alex was a great captain. We saw a few raccoons and enjoyed swimming by the sandbar. It was a little hard to hear Zoey and Alex sometimes over the engine, also expected to be provided towels if we’re swimming.

It was wonderful taking a boat ride to see the raccoons. We got to see many raccoons, and a couple iguanas, a small dolphin and some birds. It took a bit of time to get to the island but we enjoyed the relaxing boat ride. They played a great variety of tunes and the guides were friendly. We also stopped at a sandbar for swimming. It was a great and we are glad we went today.

It was quite misleading because there are not that many raccoons as were advertised (we only saw 5) . For what it’s worth I would not say it was worth 90 .

The tour was so much fun. We went in the morning but still saw about 8 raccoons on the island. Our captain and co-captain were entertaining and informative. Highly recommend!

These guys were amazing. From accommodating when traffic tried to ruin our day, to making sure everyone on board was well taken care of, this experience was a once in a lifetime with Captain Wren and First Mate Butch. They were funny, skilled at what they do, and gave a great tour guide into the sites we were seeing and the places we’d be heading to. Definitely would recommend anyone who is looking for a fun filled afternoon to check out these guys!

Ren and Zoe were both so incredible! we had a slight hiccup with the island but Zoe and Ren were SO quick on their feet to change plans and make the best of our trip! We had such a great experience and got to see the raccoons and swim on the sand bar- money well spent! 1000% recommend!

We had a wonderful time! The boat captain and mate were very friendly and helpful. They were attentive to us and knowledgeable. The raccoons were adorable and very friendly. I would recommend bringing fresh water, they were more interested in water than the peanuts!

SO fun! The hour long boat trip to and from the island was stunning and relaxing, the captain/co-captain were very nice, personable and had great information for the raccoon island and surrounding islands. The captain lead us to where the raccoons live on the island so we were able to see them immediately. We had 1.5 hours for free time on the island which was a perfect amount. The raccoons were adorable and friendly, hot tip: raccoons love potato chips

Very limited raccoons on the island. They provide peanuts to try to feed them but they weren’t not interested in them at all. Should have made this a longer time at the island for swimming. Also noted lunch available for purchase but didn’t even have enough for the half the boat. Boating time was hours beyond lunch and we were all starving.

Regarding food, we do offer a limited selection onboard; however, items are not guaranteed unless reserved in advance. This helps us balance availability while minimizing waste. For future guests, we kindly recommend messaging us after booking and we’ll be happy to reserve lunch for you.
