Overview
Swap the busy streets of Malaga for the natural landscapes of Caminito del Rey, a path once considered one of the most dangerous trails in the world. Following a reconstruction, this walkway reopened in 2015 and is now safe and accessible to all—its mountain scenery is some of the most stunning in Andalucia. Follow your guide along a route suspended over 328 feet (100 meters) without worrying about getting lost, and cross the canyon on a suspension bridge. Plus, stop in a charming Andalusian town along the way.
- Letting someone else drive you means you can relax
- Listen to facts about the place as you walk through the natural canyons
- Discover more about local geography and culture than you would alone
- Stop at a typical white Andalusian town for coffee or a bathroom break

The walk is spectacular and the drive there gives you a taste of the beautiful countryside and villages of the area.
Pedro the tour organiser was enthusiastic and knowledgeable. The guide on the walk was engaging too. I will definitely revisit the area and do this walk again.

Well organised with tour guides. Stunning scenery. Your safety is of the utmost importance. The structure is very study so I had no issues. Definitely worth the trek.

Everything was as it was advertised. Excellent adventure it was a must see for anyone coming to the area. Took a bit of effort and water was necessary

This walk was extremely breathtaking. The views of the surrounding landscape are exceptional and I would highly recommend it to anyone who is interested in natural formations / landscapes. Tour guide is good although the wind cuts off the audio from the earphones from time to time however you can enjoy the walj just as much without putting the earphones in.

The tour was organized very well. The meeting point was easy to reach. Everything was explained very well on the bus and before the tour started. I really liked that along the way and during the walk to the tour Maria gave us a lot of valuable information. She also had a great sense of humour and was very approachable. She is one of the best tour guides I've experienced!!
The tour guide during the Caminita del Rey was also amazing. It was a shame that the headsets and radio was not the best, so I couldn't hear him all the time. Nonetheless he gave us a lot of wonderful information and was approachable as well for extra questions.
The only small negative thing I had was that I felt the event isn't advertised well amongst solo travelers because I only met 2 that day. As a young person it would've been nice to also have a more challenging tour or perhaps in the future there could be an addition of a longer walk or partially some wall climbing during the tour. Overall it was an enjoyable experience, highly recommend and again Maria was beyond amazing!!!

This is a great experience that is not only breathtaking, but very informational, fun and gorgeous!
It’s a long walk … but worth it! Bridges & Views and so much engagement / storytelling along the way.
This part of Spain is special and we would go back to the lake that Camino Del Rey sits above.
Wear closed toe tennis shoes
Bring water.
There is time for a cold beer & snacks at the end of the hike.

If you do nothing else when you go to Malaga do not miss out on the opportunity to book Caminito del Rey. Our tour guide on the day was Maria. She had a bright and bubbly personality and was very knowledgeable about the area. The pace was excellent and suited all persons on the walk.
Sonja_M, Jun 2026
Amazing nature and nicely planned tour. If you’re not afraid of heights, walking and admiring the views and nature is absolutely fantastic.
Cecilia_B, Jun 2026
This was a great trip with spectacular scenery. We stopped at a shop in a small town and had delicious fresh squeezed orange juice and almond cookies. The hike itself felt a little rushed to me with not many stops to take pictures. I’m not sure I would’ve wanted the tour to be much longer, so I do understand why they keep it moving.

This was one of the highlights of our trip. The Caminito del Rey was beautiful. The walk was pretty easy and very safe. Maria was a wonderful guide.

Be prepared to walk for several hours with some stair climbing. The amazing cliffside sights are well worth the effort. Our guide Maria was knowledgeable, attentive and full of energy—a great representative for Andalusia!
Raul_T, Jun 2026
The tour was worth a million bucks. What God has created is amazing. The views were breathtaking. Amanda our tour guide was great. She explained everything about El Caminito Del Rey. Gael and Andre’s were also great. Highly recommend this tour.
Caroline_G, Jun 2026
Stunning wall, but don’t underestimate the level of fitness required- you don’t need to be super fit but definitely above average. Fast paced in 35 degree heat!
andrew_r, Jun 2026
Miguel and Juan were great guide and driver. I got to speak in Spanish and English and enjoyed our exchanges. Thanks for the great trip.
David_S, Jun 2026
It is a great walk although tiring in the heat. Very educational. Take water with you and try and pace yourself. We’ll worth the effort.
Pete_W, Jun 2026
It was a great experience and our guide. Martina was well informed and did such a great job. We appreciated her knowledge and her kindness.
Allison_S, Jun 2026
Not to be missed! It was very hot, but well worth every effort for the views and overall experience! Martina was the best. She was informative and very friendly and checked on each person all day.
Anne_B, Jun 2026

Anthony_F, May 2026
Can be strenuous, worth the hike Miguel was amazing along with our driver. Both were professional and very informative.

Caminito del Rey should be in everybody’s bucket list. The 5.7 miles are an amazing experience. I recommend to bring retractable walking sticks to those over 60 or a little afraid of falling. You can use the sticks on the grounds parts of the hike. Once you start the trail over the canyon you are not allowed to use anything other that your backpack and your camera. Pedro our guide was an excellent guide. He gave the tour in English and Spanish and did an excellent job. Thank you Pedro for giving us a great experience!!
Janette_H, May 2026
Tour was rushed. Asked to not take photos and to keep up with group! Then on 3 occasions we were told we had to wait whilst other groups went ahead. Obviously if we had been able to take photos and enjoy the scenery we would not have had to wait 5 minutes each time to let groups ahead pass through. Disappointed over all and sadly for the money spent would have expected a more polished tour
Julie_W, May 2026
Beautiful trip stunning scenery and walk . The group leader was really helpful and provided interesting information.
julie_m, May 2026
The walk is doable for any age group. The walks reputation is overrated, it’s not scary or dangerous at all. Would have liked a tad more danger.
Gianni_C, May 2026
Tour was amazing start to finish. They communicated well and very accommodating to everybody. Our tour guides on the bus and on the trail were excellent. A must do if you are in the region.
Angela_H, May 2026
Long but the hike was out of this world! Tour guides were great. What a special place. Spoke English
Elena_M, May 2026
The tour was excellent. Very well organized with a very comfortable bus ride that included a stop in a small white town where I was able to get a quick lunch. The walk is easy to do and because I went in the afternoon, it was mostly shaded.
This was a once in a lifetime opportunity to walk along side a cliff with beautiful views.
Both the guide that took us there, Miguel, and the on-site guide were wonderful
I highly recommend this adventure.
Arja_M, May 2026
