All of our tours meet at our office, which is directly across from the outside cafe area of the Palau de la Musica. We advise that you arrive 15 minutes before the tour starts.

Depending on the size of the group and the traffic restrictions on the day of the tour, your tour will finish back at the office, or in Arc de Triomf, which is an easy 5-10 minutes walk from the office.

Itinerary
Meet your guide in downtown Barcelona and head to Figueres, Dalí’s birthplace, by minivan.
Whether you’re enjoying the peak season tour or the off-peak tour, your day starts with an included visit to the famous Dalí Theatre-Museum, which offers a unique insight into his works and vision. Marvel at the exterior with its giant, rooftop egg sculptures, and view everything from Dalí’s early experiments with Cubism to later surrealist works such as the famed Mae West Room installation.
What happens next depends on the season.
Off-peak: Cadaqués and Portlligat (September 1 – June 30)
Depart Figueres and make the scenic drive to Cadaqués. Admire this pretty seaside village, and enjoy free time for lunch (own expense) at a local restaurant. Next, travel to Portlligat, a coastal village where Dalí built a private retreat, the Salvador Dalí House. Head inside (own expense) to explore. You’ll leave Portlligat around 4pm and return to Barcelona.
Summer: Sant Marti d'Empuries and Castle of Púbol (July 1 – August 31)
Leave Figueres for Sant Marti d'Empuries, a charming medieval village right on the water's edge in the Costa Brava. Eat a local lunch (own expense), stroll the winding streets, or enjoy some beach time. After lunch, explore the Castle of Púbol (own expense), which he lovingly restored for his wife Gala, then return to Barcelona.
Please note: The Salvador Dalí House in Portlligat is closed on January 1 and January 9 – February 10. On these dates, guests will see only the exterior of the house.

This is truly a full day from Barcelona, but well worth the trip. Our Guide Nuria was amazing and so knowledgeable that we knew an awful lot about Dalí before we got there.

From start to finish this tour was perfection!!! Absolutely amazing tour guide Guillaume (who speaks nine languages) gave us a wonderful lecture on the bus to Figueres. He was so kind to everyone. Then, we enjoyed the Museum and off to Cadaques. The Town and Dali's house were both magnificent! One of my most magical tours ever with Viator. We booked another tour with Guillaume. He is that good!

Steve was our guide for this Dali trip.
Steve was knowledgable, added lots of context to our journey, and was prepared with summary binder on Dali - which helped the car ride go very smoothly and fun.
Steve did a great job making it clear how long we'd have to explore each place, and where to meet back. We felt we had a good amount of time to walk around and see most things.

Absolutely fantastic tour. Couldn’t recommend enough. There were only 3 of us plus our guide in a really comfortable car so it was basically like a private tour! So amazing value for money. Nu (our guide) is so knowledgeable about Dalí and his fascinating life. The museum is incredible. Cadaques is beautiful and Dali’s house is very unique & interesting. I thought the day was going to feel really long & exhausting but it went really quickly. If you are interested in Dalí and his life/work you must go! Thanks so much Nu-you are a star!

This was a great way to understand much more about Salvador Dali. His museum in Figueres is amazing, and his house in Cadaques is fascinating. Our guide, Steven, was excellent, very knowledgeable about Dali and his art. It was a really good day trip.

My wife and I are in our 25th anniversary trip. Berta, our tour guide, was amazing. . She drove us to Figueres. We had a great tour of the Dalí museum. Berta offered great insight on some of his works. We then went to the completely idyllic town of Cadaqués with amazing views of the Mediterranean. Berta recommended a great lunch spot, the one with the black awning. Just ask Berta. We had the freshest scorpion fish and cod. What an amazing day. Moltes Gràcies, Berta!

Fantastic day trip! Alex is a terrific storyteller who shared interesting facts about Dali and his life (complete with pass-around laminated visuals) to occupy bus transit times. We had clear expectations about meeting points and departure times with about 90 minutes to enjoy on our own at each stop. It’s a long day but I would not have seen these fascinating places on my own otherwise. The mini bus was comfortable and our group of 17 manageable. The morning office meeting point was a bit hard to find and tucked away in a small side street but aside from that the day was impeccable and enjoyable. Highly recommend!

We have ordered 2 tours- Moncerat and Dali. First one was in small group and we had the guide name and his phone. When the guide came with 25 minutes delay we were not nervous . Dali tour was opposite not a guide neither a phone number. On Viator site the meeting time was 8:15 but on tickets we got - 8:30. So we missed out tour and lost $260
Next time we will choose another travel agency

It was a long day and lots of time in the car but Enrique entertained us with lots of interesting information on our way to the Dali museum and was quiet on the way back so we could nap. The museum was amazing and then the lunch by the ocean and the Dolly house were well worth the time and visit.

I thought 11 hours might be too long but the day went so quickly with Alex’s stories about Dali. He was so knowledgeable about his life and timed each part to correlate with the Museum. I would highly recommend this experience to learn so much more about Dali, his life and see his amazing works.

Unbeknownst to me, I booked the “private” Dalí tour. It was just my husband and I with Sergio.
We had a fabulous time- Sergio was very knowledgeable not only about the tour subject matter, but also a great conversationalist. We talked about so many different things on our all day journey together- Catalonian culture and language, Barcelona, and Spain in general.
He made great restaurant recommendations for us in Cadeques and we had a fabulous local lunch.
The Dalí museum was exactly what you would expect it to be if you are a fan. My only suggestion would be more time at the museum- maybe increase 30 extra minutes, only because the crowds can cause longer waits between viewing the works of art. The drive from Figueres to Cadeques was breathtaking and a great place to spend time in between locations. The Dalí house is well preserved and a great insight to his private life.
All in all, I would highly recommend this tour!

It's a long day, but Berta is a fantastic guide. She is incredibly knowledgeable and understands when to tell you more about something and when to let you stare out the window. The Dali Theater/Museum must be seen to be believed, and the visit to Gala and his home helps give insight into one of the most fascinating minds in human history.
I have done this tour five times now and will absolutely be back for round six in a few years. I always bring my high school students with me and they're always captivated and enthralled. I end our time in Spain with this tour because as so many of the 80ish students I've taken have said, "where do you go from here? After you've seen this, it's time to go home."

Excellent day. A lot of rain, but the Dali Theatre Museum and House were both wonderful. Friends were surprised we made it all the way to Cadaqués! We had a lovely lunch there.

The experience begins with the ride out to the small town of Figueres from Barcelona where the museum is. The entire trip our guide did a great job giving us a synopsis of Dali and his life and innumerable quirks, then we got to enjoy the museum for a couple of hours. The museum was outstanding and I already have a pretty good baseline from visiting the museum in St. Petersburg, Florida numerous times near where I live. Next we went do Dali's home town right on the Mediterranean called Cadaques and were let free to wander a bit and then eat lunch right on the Mediterranean, which was a cool experience. After that we toured Dali's strange house, which was telling of what kind of people he and his wife were. Then we headed home and were back about 7:00 p.m. It was a long day, but a fun and action packed one.

Fabulous tour.
Be prepared for long comfortable van rides there and back,but our guide,Steven, was well prepared. We had a lively give and take on the drive talking about Dali and the different regions of Spain and their influences.
First up was the best. It was the Dali museum at figueras.
We had 2 hours there. I could have easily done three but so amazing and incredible creations in both painting sculpture and other art media that all were distinctively Salvador Dali.
He started the ground floor. You can work your way below which takes you to the actual tomb of Dolly and as you work your way up, you'll go through several rooms that take you through all of his influences and there's a room or several rooms that take you chronologically through his life as well.
The further up you go the more recent his works are.
Absolutely stunning both inside and out. Highly rated.
Then we had about a 30-minute drive through very whining mountain roads to get us out towards the easternmost point of Spain, the town of Cadaques.
This was a town where Dolly spent much of his childhood and being off-season and a Tuesday. Not a lot of the restaurants were open but I found a great little bakery, had a slice of pizza and a fruit tart which was more than sufficient and delicious.
We continued on mountain roads for about another 30 minutes to go to Dali's home that he built by buying up fisherman shacks right on the water and again the house expressed Dolly's tastes spectacular home, use their garden, their pool area.
Then about a 2 and 1/2 hour drive home in traffic. We left around 4:00. Got home around 7:00.
That's a huge Salvador Dali fan. I love the trip. It is a long day so be sure that you're well rested before you start because this trip starts early and ends late.

Sergi was informative but needs to slow down for those of us with walking limitations. I understand the time constraint though. The museum and house were both beautiful. I would recommend doing the tour of the house!

There's a lot to see in Barcelona, but it's worth getting out of town to seek out some of Catalunya's other well-known sites. Salvador Dali and the scenic seaside fishing town of Cadaques are two such gems not to be missed. Rod was our guide and a certified Dali expert, balancing a brief introduction to the museum in Figueres with ample time to explore the exhibits on our own. Cadaques for lunch was a stop too short and worth a longer stay some day. This experience was an economical and easy way to extend your visit beyond Barcelona's city limits.
