Itinerary

Begin your day with pickup from your Barcelona hotel and travel by air-conditioned vehicle toward Girona, accompanied by your guide and a small group. On arrival, set out on a guided walking tour through the medieval Old Town, passing key sites such as the Roman walls, the cathedral, and the historic Jewish Quarter.

From Girona, continue toward the Costa Brava. Stop in the hilltop town of Pals to walk through its preserved streets and take in views across the surrounding countryside before continuing to the coast.

Arrive in Calella de Palafrugell, a former fishing village known for its waterfront setting. Join a short guided walk to get oriented, then enjoy free time to explore at your own pace. You may choose to sightsee, stop for lunch (own expense), or visit nearby coves for a swim before regrouping for the return journey.

In the afternoon, return to Barcelona, with drop-off at your hotel.

The tour picked me up at the hotel at 8am. We picked the rest of the crew right after. It was low season so we did 3 stops along the Costa Brava and then headed to Girona. Arrived back at the hotel around 6pm (90 min drive from Girona). Be sure to eat something and bring water not a lot of open places. Lunch wasn’t until 2pm. If you want to buy souvenirs make sure to look the stores up. We had 90 minutes for lunch at Girona on the outside part and were told not to go to inside the old city (where all the souvenir shops were located). We didn’t have enough time to enter the stores in the old city. Gaspar was a great tour guide, good personality and full of knowledge.

It is a great experience, being able to visit scenes from GOT is great and at the same time there is a lot of history that goes with the place. Our tour guide Chena is friendly, just struggled a little to understand his english but otherwise everything was still great!

What I liked about this tour is that it was a small group. Our driver, Tony, was also our tour guide. The places we visited were beautiful. Tony is amazing- he really knows what he’s doing and is very polite and helpful. I highly recommend this tour. Thanks Tony

A must to do while in Barcelona. Excellent tour guide picked us up at hotel along with a few others. It's a small group tour which I highly recommend next to private tour. We went to Girona which was awesome, then to the fairytale town Pals and last to beautiful Costa Bravo. We had lunch in Costa Bravo too.

We had an amazing time on our trip to Costa Brava with Hernando! He was an incredibly knowledgeable and fun guide. He communicated with us well before hand, picked us up on time, and took us on a wonderful tour of the medieval towns of Girona and Perratallada, before taking us to a late lunch at a beautiful seaside restaurant in Callela de Palafrugell, where we had time to walk around the beach and hang out before heading back to Barcelona! Would definitely recommend for a fun and relaxing trip full of food, history, and culture!

Terrible experience! Suppose to do a walking tour to 3 towns. We barely did one. Guide kept ditching us for “time on our own”. He was not informative and only cared about his upcoming vacation. His van was dirty inside and out with accident damages on both sides! We had 9 people crammed into it. He drove really fast, changing lanes erratically and yelling at other drivers. He also was checking his cell phone while driving super fast. Hire someone else! We wanted a tour of 3 towns and got half of one! Asked for a partial refund and they refused. Terrible guide and corrupt company!

Advertised itinerary abandoned, unsafe driving, hostile guide. Do not book.

We've taken many guided tours and this was, without question, the worst experience we've ever had. The advertised itinerary was not delivered. Girona was advertised as 3 hours. We got 1 hour 40 minutes, barely time to see the cathedral and nowhere near enough to eat. Earlier in the day, the guide had mentioned a "group lunch" at his family's restaurant, which was not part of the booked itinerary. In Girona, we raised this with him and explained that one of our party has severe food allergies, which is precisely why we had researched the advertised stops in advance. He dismissed the concern. The advertised medieval town of Pals was skipped entirely. Instead, he took us to a hamlet of about four buildings where his family's restaurant is located. We checked our location. Pals was a 10-minute drive away. We never went. On arrival, he insisted we sit and eat because the restaurant is his family's, despite already being told about the allergy. We had no intention of sitting, so we asked how long the stop would be in order to plan. He became upset and said he didn't know, "it's a lunch." We walked away. He came back at us, blew cigarette smoke in our faces, and told us he had "never had anyone act this way." While the rest of the group ate at his family's restaurant for 1 hour 20 minutes, we waited outside at another building. Only the final town received its advertised time. We had safety concerns from the start. Our driver used profanity casually (including the f bomb) throughout the drive. Pulling into our first stop, he came so close to pedestrians that the van's automatic emergency braking system engaged, jerking us hard against our seatbelts. Rather than acknowledging the near-miss, he insisted he was a good driver and was angry that the vehicle had stopped him. Without that safety feature, I believe we would have hit someone. His driving throughout the day was erratic enough that we openly discussed whether we were safe in the vehicle. Instead of the agreed hotel drop-off, we were left at an intersection in heavy traffic and had to cross a busy two-lane street to get back. This was not the tour we booked. The guide appeared to have his own agenda, and the advertised itinerary felt like bait. If you're considering this tour: Get written confirmation of exactly which towns you'll visit, the time at each stop, and that lunch is not at a guide-affiliated establishment. Better yet, book a different operator.

I would recommend Hernando he was a fantastic person and guide for the day. We went to three areas out of Barcelona. They were all unique places to see and enjoy . I enjoyed the old city and going to the small village where I recommend having a Sangria or the Gelato. But eating at the restaurant on the Mediterranean Sea was quite good. Great time great

Marcel was our tour guide, and he was incredibly kind, entertaining, and helpful throughout the entire day. Our ride was smooth, comfortable, and enjoyable. Honestly, this tour is a great opportunity to discover beautiful Spanish towns outside of Barcelona in a single day trip. We really enjoyed walking around Girona (game of thrones locations), visiting the historic Roman town area, and exploring Costa Brava- THE BEACH WAS THE HIGHLIGHT OF THE WHOLE TRIP. The scenery was absolutely fantastic, sunny, and beautiful. We had lunch by the beach and truly enjoyed every part of the experience. The paella Marcel recommended was superb. I highly recommend booking this tour.

This was a wonderful experience. Aleix was very welcoming and a great guide that made us all appreciate the places we were seeing. This felt very much like the tour you would get with your local best friend. Having done another large tour experience, the intimate feel of the small group cannot be beat. He was very attentive to all of us from the moment we were picked up at the hotel. Lunch at Sa Terra was esquisite--the steak, paella and turbot were perfectly seasoned and cooked. The stop at the coast was great as well--gelato by the Mediterranean can't be be beat. Overall, this was a very memorable tour.

Ridrigo took us to 3 towns, Girona, Pals and Calella. The 3 of them were fantastic. Girona with much history and beauty, Pals is a medieval town offering beautiful views and Calella had the sea! The beach was beautiful but given we went on early April the weather was cold and windy so we didn’t go to the water. We had lots of fun the other passengers and Rodrigo who was very knowledgeable and pleasant. There are stairs to climb but doable.

Omid was fabulous. He is so educated about Catalonia and very good at getting people to feel comfortable. Girona was beautiful, Pals was stunning. My only recommendation would be that we got more time in Pals and less at the beach. Perhaps in summer that would be reversed.

We really enjoyed the private tour with China as our driver. He was very knowledgeable about all the cities we visited as well as the villages that we passed along the way. Not only did we enjoy the sites we visited, we also enjoyed the drive between the cities, with the fields of Yellow daffodils, vineyards and other very old towns. Seeing Girona on the waterfront was a great last stop. Truly enjoyed walking and seeing life alone the waterfront.
