What are people saying about Seward

We had such a great time...
We had such a great time on our tour! We did the 4 hour excursion and didn't realize that we had assigned tables (which was greatly appreciated - we were worried about "finding a good seat" inside). The crew did a nice job explaining details during our journey, and spent plenty of time at each of the scenic areas/when we saw wildlife. We did not see tons of animals but did encounter some eagles, a few otters, sea lions and jellyfish. I think because we did not see much wildlife we were able to venture out further into the bay and see Bear Glacier from a distance. We also were given the "Alaska Baptism" by getting rained on by some glacial waterfalls - it was so fun! Luckily my husband and I also were seated with a few really cool couples traveling together so that added to our experience. The food options were fine, and the alcoholic beverages to purchase were reasonable as well. Overall we were so glad to have driven the 2 hr 15 min from Anchorage to Seward (and back!) in the same day - it was absolutely incredible and pictures just do not do the journey justice. Highly recommend going on this tour. I will say, personally I think the longer tours may have been too long for us but 4 hrs was perfect. Only caveat might be that if you go during a season where there is almost a guarantee of seeing much more wildlife (whales, dolphins, etc.) then it may be worth it.

Unforgettable Kenai Fjords Experience
An incredible day exploring Kenai Fjords. The scenery was spectacular, with stunning glaciers up close, rugged coastline, and plenty of wildlife along the way. The cruise was well organised, comfortable, and the crew were friendly and informative. A fantastic experience and definitely a highlight of our Alaska trip!

HIGHLY recommend this glacier tour!
Captain Tanner and crew were great hosts and made sure to share their knowledge throughout the glacier tour. I really felt like they wanted to make it the best experience for all on board. We really got up close to the glaciers and saw one calving twice. All kinds of wildlife were pointed out, taking us as close as possible to them throughout the trip. I would HIGHLY recommend this as a must do for a trip to Alaska, this cruise can accomodate any age.

Road trip Adventure
Absolutely great day with our guide Dustin. Dustin extremely knowledgeable about route and was as very accommodating on stops since we were a small group of three people. Dustin spoke with a passion about the area and it was evident that he had passion for his work also.

Most of Alaska is wilderness, so Seward is a convenient base for exploring the great outdoors. The city is next to Kenai Fjords National Park and many Seward tours include excursions in the park. Cruises offer views of stunning glaciers and you might even spot wildlife such as otters, whales, porpoises, and puffins. If you’d prefer something more adventurous, consider a guided glacier hike, a kayaking trip on Resurrection Bay, or even a dog sled ride.
