Wonderful tour

We absolutely loved this tour. Our guide was informative and friendly. The guide that we had in the catacombs was awesome and so easy to understand. Be aware if you book this tour that there are a lot of steps to go up and down as well as walking on very rocky roads that would be impossible for a walker or wheelchair to maneuver, so if that is a difficulty you might want to reconsider this tour. We had to cancel one of our people out when we found out how many steps there actually were. Other than that everything went smoothly and was very enjoyable.

Great tour for its value

Joseph our guide was very nice, had great English, and was funny, it was a hot hot day so he kept us as much as he could in the shade and at a good pace not too fast not too slow, took time to let is take pictures at every site. We had a lady that struggled in our tour because she had trouble walking and I just don’t understand why she will come in a WALKING tour that takes 2 hours but he was still patient and waited for everyone. You don’t get to go inside the places (pantheon, Trevi fountain, etc) except the church it’s a sightseeing tour if you want to go inside this places you need to come another day or perhaps stay after the tour and go on your own. Overall really great tour, great value for what you get, we were very happy and satisfied with it

Great tour!

We loved this walking tour! We had a lot of fun and learned a lot. It was so nice to walk to city and see major sites at night when it was a little less crowded and much less hot. Our guide, Alena, was great! She was really nice, fun, and knowledgeable. The tour was a great mix of being taught by Alena and getting to walk around and see the site/take pictures for ourselves. We would definitely do this again, and I’d love to do another tour with Alena!

Mahmoud: the best tour guide

Mahmoud was a fantastic tour guide! His enthusiasm and knowledge of Roman history made the tour excellent. We were a group of 20 but the headset allowed us to hear the tour guide at all times. We had time to stop at key spots to take pictures and to get water at the fountains. I didn't feel rushed at all. This tour was a great way to see these areas! Definitely book it.

It was amazing from start to finish. It was easy to find the tour group to check in. If you forget to bring a shawl and have your shoulders exposed, you can buy one from a street vendor last minute. For the tour: FRED was AWESOME!! I wish he could be our tour guide for evening lol he got everyone engaged, extremely knowledgeable AND you can hear him clearly as he projects his voice with the little audio devices. Fred was also funny, which can honestly turn something that might be dry and lackluster into something fun, interesting and actually enjoyable despite being in 100 degree weather. I brought a fan and I HIGHLY suggest as only a few parts have AC inside. I’m not sure about the other tour guides but if you can score Fred, you’re in for a reallllllll treat :)

Fantastic!!

This tour was fantastic and absolutely worth every penny! Our guide was incredible—she knew the Vatican’s history inside and out and navigated us through the massive crowds with total ease. The museums can feel overwhelming, but she made the experience so much better by pointing out the must‑see highlights so we didn’t spend the whole day wandering aimlessly. It made the visit feel curated, engaging, and genuinely fun. I’m still not sure the extra cost for the guided portion of St. Peter’s Basilica is necessary—you can definitely explore that part on your own if you want to save a little—but the main tour itself was outstanding. The meeting point was a bit out of the way, but still easy to find, and with the huge crowds it made perfect sense to gather there and walk over as a group. Overall, a wonderful experience that I’d happily recommend!

Fabio is the Best!!!!!

Absolutely wow! The sites were incredible, the 5pm timing was smart to avoid the summer heat, and the gelato was delicious. But I need to talk about our guide Fabio. He was absolutely spectacular. He was EXTREMELY informative but balanced the education with an extensive amount of humor. This man knew everything about everything from the name of the water spouts to the precise date of literally everything. We even learned about the drama between famous sculptors! You think you’re going to learn something? Get ready. You will learn so much more than you ever thought about Rome. Fabio took such great care of us and with all that I learned, I feel like an expert on Rome. A huge thank you to City Wonders for the extensive tour communication before the tour itself, and a HUGE thank you to the man, the myth, and most importantly the legend Fabio.

We were part of a small group, which made it easy to stay engaged and explore all the included areas at a comfortable pace. Overall, it was an informative and memorable experience. Note if you're in a wheelchair or carrying a stroller, the site is not very accessible - but otherwise great experience.

Take this Tour!

We had a wonderful time getting to know our guide Rose. She was very friendly and insightful. The food was excellent and we had a few food moments that we will go down in our family memories, specifically the fried fish was a highlight. The charcuterie tasting was awesome and the classic Roman meal in Trastevere was also excellent. Wine also flowed so no worries there! Totally recommended!

Well worth the time and money

The tour guide was knowledgeable and entertaining. They were a native English speaker and easy to understand. We saw a lot of the major attraction in Rome in an efficient time frame, with plenty of time to check trevi fountain, grab gelato, and take a bathroom break. I would do this tour again! She stopped us in shady locations but didn't keep us standing for long periods.
