This walking tour was a fantastic introduction to Rome’s historic city center! Our guide, Dan, was knowledgeable and engaging, sharing interesting stories about the city’s history, culture, and traditions. Everything was really well organized, even before the tour. They sent me helpful recommendations for places to eat and visit, along with a route and detailed notes. One of my favorite parts was discovering a couple of hidden gems away from the crowds that I definitely wouldn’t have found on my own. Highly recommend this tour, especially if it’s your first time in Rome!

The tour guide, Arvin, knew what he was talking about at every stage of the tour. What made him extra special was his ability to pull in all the people in the tour, open the doors of friendship with laughter and great pace. There were no frowns or disappointment. Everyone had a very good time.

Oxana is a great guide!

Oxana was a great guide and our family enjoyed our time with her. Unfortunately, during check-in in the square, there was disconnect and conflicting information from other staff members regarding the check-in process, so the beginning was a bit confusing.

Tour outside the walls of Rome

First we went to the catacombs for a tour with a Vatican guide. This was very interesting. Then we went to the Appia Antica, the ancient Roman road. We saw the tomb of Cecilia Metella, and learned about her life. Then we went to the aqueducts which supplied fresh water to Rome. It was a great and informative tour.

An amazing engineering achievement!

The Coliseum is one of those places that are beyond description. The enormous size of the place and the amazing engineering and construction required to build it is incomprehensible. Every stadium built today still resembles this place. Anne our tour guide was wonderful. She explained everything in full detail and answered all of our questions. She navigated us through a very crowded place while providing details all along the way. I highly recommend both Anne and the tour without hesitation.

So worth it!

This has been a highlight of our trip! We visited 3 restaurants in 4 hours, all in private dining areas, ending at a homemade gelato cafe. Our guide, Tone, was so friendly and engaging, explaining the culinary history of everything we ate. The wine was all locally sourced and indeed free flowing, as advertised. Highly recommend!

Perfect first day intro to Rome

Perfect first day introduction to the beautiful city of Rome. Our tour guide Anna was knowledgeable, personable and fun to spend a few hours with as we walked around the historic city center. I highly recommend the small group tour as they were so many times we weaved in and out of giant crowds with groups of 40 people with one tour guide holding a flag or umbrella, trying to keep their audio earbuds in while we they attempted to see over the masses of other people in their group. Anna gave us some great recommendations for places to go and see, and was quite knowledgeable about food and directed us to the best gelato shop ever!

Unending History Forever in the Making

There are no words to describe the massiveness and history of the Colosseum, the Roman Forum and Palantine Hill. Our tour guide, Paola, was extremely friendly, knowledgeable and articulate. Her command of the history of these ruins was quite impressive. A beautiful afternoon and a highly recommended experience.

Coliseum/Roman Forum guided tour

No complaints! Meeting point was different than described in email (directions made it sound like you were going into the subway to meet on the second floor when actually you meet outside on the street). Our guide was AWESOME! Highly recommend you ask for Georgia! She was very knowledgeable and had a good sense of humor. Also recommended the best pizza restaurant for lunch- best meal we had while in Rome!

Great tour!

We loved this walking tour! We had a lot of fun and learned a lot. It was so nice to walk to city and see major sites at night when it was a little less crowded and much less hot. Our guide, Alena, was great! She was really nice, fun, and knowledgeable. The tour was a great mix of being taught by Alena and getting to walk around and see the site/take pictures for ourselves. We would definitely do this again, and I’d love to do another tour with Alena!
