Absolutely The Best!

This is the absolute best way to experience the Vatican! We were truly able to skip the long lines in the heat of August, and our tour guide pointed out so many things that we never would have noticed had we done this on our own! We are returning next year and plan to book the same tour again! We’re traveling with a much larger family the next time and I’m hoping we can get everyone in our own private tour!

Excellent tour included Trevi, churches, piazzas etc.

Our guide, Alee, was very knowledgeable about Rome in general, and also about the history of many buildings that we walked past. Additionally, he was friendly and helpful. The tour was about 90 minutes long and definitely worthwhile. Highly recommend!

This was the BEST tour! Our guide Valter was incredible- engaging, informative, funny! He was happy to answer questions, give info, etc. but also to joke around and just generally enhance the experience and fun! We had such a great time, lots of laughs, great food and drinks! We felt Special!

Matti was the best guide. He clearly knew the history as we couldn’t stump him with any question. The tour itself was very efficient as we kept moving through the crowds with ease, had special access to exits and entrance to certain parts of the museums and bypassed all the lines into the Sistine chapel and St. Peter’s. We felt special.

The Best Food!

The guide, Vincenzo, was extremely knowledgeable about the food. He was very entertaining and enthusiastic. The food is delicious and there was prosecco, wine at the market and wine at the last restaurant and you can have another glass! Definitely enough food. Very fun. Just be aware it’s not in the most beautiful part of Rome but it’s all about the best food!

Great Tour!

Really glad we did this tour since it covered four main areas of interest: Piazza Navona and the Fountain of Four Rivers, the Pantheon, Trevi Fountain, and the Spanish Steps. The tour guide is excellent. Christina is thoroughly familiar with the areas covered and makes the time interesting and even humorous. I was very impressed with the fact that the tour meeting point was very close to some very nice public restrooms. That was super-convenient for everyone before the tour started. The Pantheon portion was not skip-the-line but don’t let that stop you, as it moved very quickly. Also we were expecting chaos at the Trevi Fountain, but in spite of the huge crowds, within twenty minutes we were able to have a bathroom break, get gelato samples, and get right down to the water’s edge for some great pictures. Five stars for sure!

Our guide ‘Fred’ Frederico was excellent. Shared his knowledge and sense of humor with us. He kept our group moving along as all guides are instructed to do but do not necessarily abide by. So much to see and not easy with the vast amount of people. Sistine Chapel and St. Peter’s Basilica are gorgeous and breathtaking. We can not imagine trying to move through the crowds during a busier tourist season.

Great Tour with Sam!

The reviews that this is technically a free tour is accurate, but I think booking through Viator gives the guides a good idea of scheduling. Worth the booking in my opinion. We checked in with the guide, and once we were all there we were off on our tour. Sam was our guide during the tour and he was great! I am a huge history nerd and learned so much about the Jewish Ghetto during the tour! I loved it! Please remember to tip during the tour since the guides rely on the tips!
