This tour was great. Our guide Chiara was excellent. The scenery was beautiful. The towns were so picturesque. Looks like a long tour but there is plenty of free time and rests on the coach. We learnt so much about Rome and Tuscany. The lunch was not bad. The spaghetti was great, and you get to try 7 local wines together with other local produce. I would highly recommend this one.

What a beautiful way to spend a day. The scenery along the way was phenomenal and each city was amazing. We would highly recommend this tour

Our tour was wonderful. Anna did a great job of informing us of the regions we passed through. Such beautiful scenery.

We had a very full day and thoroughly enjoyed visiting the Tuscany region. Keep in mind that this is 2+ hours each way by motorcoach. It was very comfortable though, we made a brief stop to stretch each way as well. Our guide, Anna, was very knowledgeable and provided great information both on our drive and our tour.

This tour was amazing! Getting to see Montepulciano and other little towns outside of Rome was spectacular. The vineyard we visited has been making the same wine for four generations (and the Mask of Truth was so cool to see in the wine cellar). I’ve done wine tastings before in North America where your set glasses are given and that’s it. Here, it felt like the wine was bottomless! Our tour guide, Anna, was so knowledgeable and shared a ton of fun facts during the bus ride. Sara, our guide in Montepulciano was also so passionate about the history of the town. Luca, our driver, gave us a smooth ride there and back. Could not recommend enough!!

It was a very enjoyable day visiting some beautiful towns lt gives you a great insight and had I known how beautiful it was I would definitely have added it to my trip
Also I can’t forget to mention our tour guide Valentina and our bus driver Francesco they also were great.

The experience is partially misleading. When booking this tour we were expecting to go to a legit winery/vineyard and have an authentic experience. I’ve been to several vineyards and this one was not impressive at all. The worst part was the “3 course meal” it was only spaghetti and bread, there was no 3rd course. Overall, I wouldn’t book this had I known this.
The only positive thing to mention are the tour guides, they were kind at all times but the time given to explore was always too short.
Response from Host, Aug 2026
Dear Christopher_U,
We’re very sorry to hear that the experience did not meet your expectations. We apologise for the disappointment regarding the winery visit, the meal, and the limited time to explore.
We take your feedback seriously and will follow up internally with the relevant team to review these concerns.
Thank you for bringing this to our attention.

Heather was my tour guide and she was amazing !! She’s so funny and made the tour so much fun ! She gave us good bathroom breaks and explained to us the meeting points very well. Also the local guides at the small town (I forgot the name) were sooo seeet and informative as well ! Overall beautiful day well spent ! The driver of the coach bus was amazing also , it takes skill to drive in Italy lol, I believe his name was Cesar ? There are tons of time to wander around, shop, and grab a bite. Plenty of photo ops moments as well

Flavio our tour guide was great. His historical story telling was awesome. He was also very caring about the guest on the group. Pace of the tour was on point. Lunch at farm restaurant was very nice detail. Great experience. Montepulciano and Piensa were beautiful and very nice towns to visit. Thank you.

They canceled our semi private tour and we did not get the notification until we had paid to be dropped off at the pickup point. They wanted to throw us on a large group tour bus instead. Their problem was we were the only two that had signed up for the tour and they will not operate it unless more people go.
They will try a future day, but no guarantee there either as we are still the only ones signed up. No discounts or inconvenience refund $ offered and were just told to write a letter later and they would “review the case”
Very disappointed in City Wonder
Response from Host, Aug 2026
Dear Raymond_P,
Thank you for sharing your feedback. We sincerely apologise for the disappointment and inconvenience caused by the cancellation of your semi-private tour.
We normally inform guests of any such changes at least 24 hours before the scheduled tour through the contact details provided at the time of booking. We are sorry that you did not see our voicemail, email, and chat messages before making your way to the meeting point.
We also regret that the alternative options offered did not suit your plans. We understand how frustrating this must have been, and we appreciate you sharing your experience with us.

Not as advertised. Many elements were lovely, but not what we thought we were getting. We did the small group tour and the van was slightly cramped with three seats facing the other three seats— so, our group got to know each other well while traveling the 5+ hours round trip. The driver was kind but his English was difficult to understand. The Montepulciano tour was awesome but then we only had 30 minutes to explore the town. We then went to Pienza where we had lunch. There was no guide for the town, the lunch was very basic- spaghetti, one lightly poured glass of wine and a smallish meat and cheese board. No lunch in a Tuscan vineyard, which was disappointing. From there we did go to a winery where we sampled the Brunello di Monticino, as well as their olive oil. It was a nice trip, but had I known about the change in itinerary, I would have chosen differently.

Dear Deirdre_T,
We sincerely apologize that the tour did not fully meet your expectations and that some aspects of the experience differed from what you had anticipated.
We’re pleased to hear that you enjoyed Montepulciano and the winery experience, but we’re sorry that the limited time in Pienza, the lunch arrangements, and the itinerary did not provide the experience you were expecting. We understand how disappointing this can be, particularly when you had chosen the tour based on its advertised experience.
Thank you for taking the time to share such detailed feedback. We truly value your comments and will take them into consideration as we continue to improve our tours.

Excellent day trip from Rome. Gives you a quick view of Toscane and you have the chance to taste real good Montepulciano wine.

An amazing tour! Pari was so kind, patient, and knowledgeable. Luca our driver was exceptional! The views were breathtaking. The winery and lunch was such an experience!

I absolutely recommend this tour. Tuscany was beautiful and had free time to explore. Bus included AC and love that bus has two entry/exit doors for fast and easy access.
Charles_R, Aug 2026
Antony and antionone were amazing. Well timed, even when someone didn’t make it in time for coach to resume, he made sure they were taken care of.
dorna_m, Aug 2026
It was great and I thank the esteemed tour leader. He really explained things very patiently💫 It was a very interesting and good experience🥳

Great day out in the beautiful Tuscany countryside. We did the small group tour, and the driver was very friendly (nice Mercedes van).
The short walking local tour in Montepulciano was great, and then 30mins to shop (this felt a bit rushed, so It would have been nicer to have a full hour however!).
I think our itinerary changed to what was described, as we had lunch in Pienza at a restaurant (not at a authentic Tuscan farm and winery which was a shame). It was ok, the restaurant was busy, food nice (shared cheese platter, main meal of pasta, plus a biscotti - wouldn't call that 3 courses), and they did not explain the wine, this part of the tour could be improved. Then an hour spent here for shopping, which was too much time and not enough shops compared to Montepulciano.
Lastly the wine tasting at Castello Tricerchi, friendly tour and good explanation on the wines, not much talk on the olive oil.
Overall some small things could be improved for the price you pay, but a great experience in a beautiful area of italy!

The picturesque cute towns. The winery lunch experience was nice. The driver Theo was very good. Souvenir shops were surprisingly nice and affordable.

Navigating a guided tour should offer clarity, structure, and peace of mind. Unfortunately, my experience with our tour guide, Patricia, was marked by a severe lack of professionalism and basic accountability, ultimately ruining what should have been an enjoyable trip.
The primary issue stemmed from a complete failure of communication. Patricia neglected to inform our group of the specific pickup location for the bus, nor did she provide the name or address of the restaurant where we were heading. When I managed to locate the site on my own and approached her regarding the oversight, her response was unexpectedly hostile and disrespectful. Rather than acknowledging the error or helping the group navigate the situation, she dismissively stated that it was "not her problem."
As a tour guide, her primary responsibility is to lead, organize, and ensure the safety and inclusion of every participant. Instead, Patricia abandoned her duties entirely. Her neglect resulted in nearly leaving five people behind—and ultimately stranding three members of our group. When confronted about leaving these individuals behind, she brazenly expressed that she simply did not care.
This level of disrespect and apathy is completely unacceptable for anyone in the hospitality and tourism industry. A tour guide's role is to guide, yet Patricia demonstrated neither leadership nor standard professional courtesy. Because of this unacceptable conduct, I will never use this tour company again.
Response from Host, Aug 2026
Hi Denise,
Thank you for sharing your feedback. We’re truly sorry to hear about your experience and apologise for the communication issues and the way you felt you were treated during the tour.
This is not the level of service we aim to provide our guests. We will be following up directly with the guide regarding your concerns and reviewing what happened with our team.
We sincerely apologise for the frustration caused and appreciate you bringing this to our attention.

Full day of taking in the beauty and history of this Tuscany region. Great experience if you'd like a change from the hustle and bustle of Rome during your stay.
Michele_M, Aug 2026
We arrived at Montepuciano during a terrible thunderstorm, instead of charging the itinerary the driver had us walk on slippery stones & stairs to meet our guide, very danagerous. At the end of the day he recommended we wait to buy souvenirs at a stop off the highway - some goods seemed counterfeit & he said the stip was for big buses but he had a “friend” that let him stop, we saw other drivers counting cash, def not legit. For the price of this tour, you can find something better
Response from Host, Aug 2026

The Tuscan countryside is truly amazing. Our guide Anna was a human cornucopia of interesting facts and history. Our driver was a whiz at navigating the narrow roads.
Nigel_B, Aug 2026
Exceptional scenery with quaint towns and tasteful wines. The mountainous and valley scenery was picturerestqe. I will recommend this to anyone.
Albina_E, Aug 2026
I absolutely loved this trip more than Sorrento and Amalfie. Beautiful drive amazing views and beautiful cultural places. Natasha was very knowledgeable and shared a lot of information. I had the best day
Tiffany_T, Aug 2026
This tour was lots of fun, our guide Alessandro was easy to understand and very informative. The local guide was also very friendly. The wine tasting was fun and it was very interesting to get a tour of the cellar from the owners!
Vaishali_R, Aug 2026
This was an amazing tour with lots packed in a day and worth the while and money!
Eduardo our guide made it so enjoyable and entertaining. He was very informative as well, as far as details of the place and the history is concerned.
The lunch and wine tasting experience was also delightful.
Over all a great experience. Would recommend this anytime!
PS: just don't do this in the summer. The heat is terrible!
Ashley_N, Aug 2026
This tour was great and more relaxing versus tours that included a ton of travel. The views in Tuscany are breathtaking and all of our tour guides (Laura and Pam) were wonderful and engaging. Wear comfortable shoes and clothes as Montepulciano is uphill a lot. We really loved this tour and the meal/wine tasting was fantastic!
Jenny_R, Jul 2026
10/10! Amazing experience and worth it! Everything was well organized and enriching! This was a multistep trip and we felt safe every step of the way. We were given so many opportunities for amazing pictures, shopping, and trying new foods. I highly recommend this trip because it allows you to see so much in one day. Truly amazing !
