- ID and Ticket Accuracy Requirements: A valid government-issued photo ID is required at entry, and it must match the name on your booking. Different tickets apply to adults and minors, so please ensure accurate selection during booking.
- Strict Timed Entry and Late Arrival Policy: Entry to the Vatican Museums is strictly timed. Late arrivals may not be admitted and refunds will not be provided in such cases.
- Skip-the-Line Entry and Security Screening: You can skip the ticket line, but all visitors must pass through mandatory security checks. Please allow extra time, especially during peak hours or religious events.
- Dress Code for Vatican Entry: A strict dress code is enforced. Shoulders and knees must be covered. Sleeveless tops, shorts above the knee, miniskirts, and low-cut garments are not permitted. Entry may be denied for non-compliance.
- Prohibited Items at Entry: Weapons, glass items, sharp objects, food, and alcohol are not allowed inside any Vatican site for security reasons.
- Self-Guided Basilica Visit for Late Tours: For tours starting at 3:00 PM or later, the visit to St. Peter’s Basilica will be self-guided due to limited access hours for guided tours.
- Basilica and Sistine Chapel Closures and Access Restrictions: St. Peter’s Basilica is closed on Wednesday mornings (8 AM–12 PM), and on December 24 and 31. Access to the Basilica and the Sistine Chapel may also be restricted without notice due to religious ceremonies or events, such as Jubilee Masses or Sede Vacante (papal transition). In cases of closure, your guide will extend time inside the Vatican Museums. No refunds or partial reimbursements are issued.
- Baby strollers are not permitted inside, even if they are foldable. Please plan accordingly.

Our guide Sonia is also an archaeologist with added to the tour. She was quite knowledgeable and funny. Great tour.
Unfortunately, this tour did not live up to expectations. As someone who does extensive research on excursions, I was really excited to join this tour with my husband and baby. However, the tour was not family friendly at all (at least not for kids under 1 year). My family was always left behind and we found ourselves running to keep up. The other guests on the tour did a better job of making sure we were comfortable and kept up with the group than the guide. The guide was also just not that great. We noticed other people in the group had taken out their earbuds halfway through the tour because the tour guide just wasn't great at explaining / clear enough. For the price, I expected a lot more and as someone who is a history buff, I left incredibly disappointed and am writing this review not to shame anyone, but to advise other families with small kids to look elsewhere or try it on your own and save your money.
Olesia was an amazing guide. She was so knowledgeable and gave us information in an interesting and fun way.

We will probably only get to Rome once so made sure we got to see some special sights. The Vatican tour was most definitely one of those. Amazing experience and aviator s guide Lorenzo was very knowledgeable and his English was good strongly recommend this tour

Well worth it. Great interesting guide. It was crowded and we were able to cut out much of the lines. The guide was interesting and knowledgeable. You spend to so much just to get to Rome why not do it all.

Be prepared it’s hard to find place to get tickets. Not worth money. Took us over hr to find ticket place. Spent over $300 to basically see museum

The tickets were to include the Basilica but when the tour guide went to scan our ticket the entire group was turned away from security. It was the one main area we wanted to see. We were told we could purchase tickets and wait another 3 hours in the line to enter. Very disappointed.

We particularly enjoyed our visit to the Sistine Chapel and St Peters. Found both to be inspiring and uplifting. Enjoyed our visit to the parts of the Museum where we were able to see the various works of art. The first part of the Museum visit was less enjoyable because in the main it was a history lesson. Despite the enthusiasm of our guide for his subject - overall he was very good, knowledgeable and engaging, able to impart information without giving too much information - less history and more time to look at exhibits would have been our preference.

It was informative. We saw some of the Vatican Museum, the Sistine Chapei, and St. Peter’s Basilica. It wasn’t a 3 hour tour as it was 2 hours and 15 minutes, however, after the official tour we were able to browse on our on in St. Peter’s Basilica as long as we chose to do so.
We did enjoy it. Our guide Matt spoke clearly in English.

My husband and I both loved the Vatican, Sistine Chapel, and St Peters tour. The tour helped us understand the history and details about the paintings that we would have missed on our own. We very much appreciated the skip the line because the lines were very long and it was very hot the day that we toured. We highly recommend this tour. It is worth the price.

3 hours long, but the time flew by! The Vatican Museum, the Sistine Chapel, and St Peter’s Basilica, with just the right amount of time everywhere.
However, what really made this tour was our guide; knowledgeable, interesting, and highlighting everything we should see.

Vatican City was amazing. Beautiful. We loved it. Wear comfortable shoes. Very crowded. Worth the money. The reason I didn’t give it a 5 was because of our tour guide. Not very personable. She was not friendly. We had an 86 year old man in our group and she never made sure he was alright. We looked out for him.

I’d definitely recommend this tour for the Vatican. Our tour guide was extremely knowledgeable and gave us so much information to prepare us before we went into the Sistine Chapel. I really appreciated this background because the guides are not allowed to talk in the Sistine Chapel.

Don’t go on a Monday in September. It was extremely crowded, especially the museum. The Basilica and Sistine Chapel weren’t quite so bad. Beautiful place though.
