Thank you Vexperio and Yianni!

Booked the Skip the Cable Car Santorini tour. Vexperio was an excellent tour group! They answered me quickly when I had a questions about the meeting place and they texted with frequent reminders. Their instructions were very clear. Since our ship had to tender passengers to the port, this was stressful for us since we didn’t know how long the tender process would take. Our cruise line (Princess) started issuing tender tickets at 7am. We got ours at 7:30 and waited for 2 hours on the ship until our tender group was called. Our tour with Vexperio was scheduled to start at 10am. We got to the dock around 9:30. So if you are on a cruise be sure to get an early tender ticket! Vexperio was there at the dock with their sign just as they said in their instructions. We then boarded another tender boat to go to a different dock and boarded Mercedes sprinter vans for the island tour. Each van had their own guide. Ours was Yianni. Yianni was so great! He was very friendly, gave us excellent history of Santorini and really made sure everyone in our group was cared for. We stopped at two locations just to catch the stunning views and take photos. Then we went to Oia for an hour and walked the narrow streets which have adorable shops and restaurants, and amazing views. There is a washroom by the clock tower, 1 euro per person. The attendant only took cash, no credit cards. We then went to a village (Megalachori) for a quick 20 min walkthrough. We ended at Mera Beach (black sand beach) where we could sit and relax and have traditional Greek food and drinks. Highly recommend the Aegean Safran restaurant! We were then driven back to the dock to catch the tender back to the tender dock in Fira. Pro tip from Yianni - sit at the exit of your tender so you are the first one off so you can quickly get in line for the next ship tender. Yianni made sure we were all on the dock safely. I highly recommend Vexperio! Yianni thank you for being the best tour guide for the best group! Guests, if you enjoy your tour, please be sure you tip your van driver and guide! They are working hard for you to ensure you have a nice tour.

Santorini Road Trips 5 hour private tour

We booked a private 5 hour tour with Santorini road tours and it did not disappoint. Our guide ALEX, met us at the top of the cable car. Note: princess tender process took a long time so book your trip with enough time to get up to the top. We found a crew member who helped us get on a tender earlier as we were going to be late waiting for our number to be called and ended up a bit early, so we were able to start our tour early. Alex showed us so many parts of this island and his personal favorites. It was incredible. The views of every part of this island were breathtaking. Alex made us feel so comfortable and gave us so much history of his birthplace. This is the only way to spend the day on this amazing island. You can go to any port town and wonder but to see what we saw in 5 hours is the only way to experience Santorini. Spending the day with Alex was like spending the day with family. If you are lucky enough to get Alex as your guide you are in for one the best days ever!!

Great Day in Santorino

Santorini is one of the most beautiful and challenging ports on any Greek cruise. The quality of your experience can turn on a dime depending on the gondola from the dock. Get to the dock a little too late and the line is very long. We were lucky and left the ship as early as we could so the line was short. Our driver met us a few blocks from the top of the gondola because the streets are very narrow near the top. We had a wonderful day with our guide and driver Babis. The van was very comfortable and Babis knew exactly where to go and when so we were able to avoid as many tour busses as possible. He was flexible and accommodated several specific request we had. He even made reservations for lunch at our favorite restaurant. All in all it was a spectacular day. We would recommend Babis to anyone wanting a great day on the island.

Amazing experience!!!

I was not feeling my best in my photo shooting today. Catia the owner and her staff Aspa, Helena, Renata and even the driver were so professional and so caring. Made me feel so much at ease and were so helpful and absolutely went out of their way to make me feel comfortable. Catia and Renata took us back to the cable car to get on our Celebrity ship to make sure we made it all the way back safe. They were amazing! Highly recommend this photo shooting experience with this wonderful group!

What a great tour!

The catamaran was great! The crew (Captain: John, crew: Nicol, Erietta, Vaggos) were FANTASTIC! They truly made the experience. They made great food (way more than we were expecting) and were constantly attentive to our needs. Even during a colder time the water wasn’t bad and a great time to swim in. Definitely book with them because it was the best!

Fabulous personal experience in Santorini!

This tour was exactly as described, and our tour guide Lisa with bus driver Angelo showed us all the iconic landmarks and made them come alive for us. The organization was wonderful and we noticed our guide kindly help a few of the elders in our group. Our ship was leaving port earlier than others, and the company quickly pivoted and got us an earlier tender, getting us back on board with time spare. Excellent customer service! Especially if you are on a cruise this is a fantastic choice for you. There were six ships in port yesterday, so it was very busy in Oia, but our guide gave us great advice and it was great to see other traditional villages that were much more peaceful!

Fun day

The wine tour was lovely! It featured a lovely variety of wineries from large to small and was a great introduction to Santorini wines. Our guide was Maria who was absolutely wonderful! She was very knowledgeable of the wines and wine making process. The wine was excellent as were the tapas. We were paired with a few other couples which made the day even more fun as we were all friends by the end of the day! Highly recommend this experience!

Do this cruise!

Everything went off without a hitch! The pick up from the hotel and drop off was great. The catamaran cruise was perfect! Great food, the crew was so accommodating and made sure everyone was happy and well taken care of, the other guests on my cruise were a lot of fun, the food was delicious and seeing the sunset at the end was the perfect ending. I highly recommend this cruise. My friend and I thoroughly enjoyed it and met some great people.

We had a fantastic tour...

We had a fantastic tour of Santorini today with Elisa as our brilliant guide. There were 5 ships in port today and it was perfect to avoid the long cable car queues. The company was very flexible with guests. Some people had turned up over an hour early for the 11 am tour and were able to get on the earlier tour. Some guests on our tour were on a ship that was departing much earlier than the others and the company arranged an earlier tender for them to get back to their ship. The tour was in small minibuses which provided a more personalised experience. The itinerary was more interesting than those provided by our ship. Our personal highlight was the walk through the small village of Megalochori which felt much more authentic than busy Oia. We also stopped at all the important photo stops with time at the volcanic beach to have lunch. It was only just possible for us to make the 10am tour from our ship which arrived at 8 am and we had only 600 passengers on board. We had tickets for the first public tender after the cruise ship’s own tours had departed. Cruise ships are not in control of the tender boats which are provided by the Santorini Boatmen and there was a bit of a gap between some of the tenders. I would highly recommend this tour.

We are a family of four and would 100% recommend AA Santorini Travel for anyone wanting a great tour that shows the highlights of beautiful Santorini. Astri and Sara were wonderful at showing us so many beautiful locations on Santorini, taking lots of photos of us at these locations and providing a wealth of information about both the history and day to day life on Santorini. We really enjoyed being shown around by locals and getting their perspective. Plus a private tour was much more personal and enjoyable than a larger group. Great way to spend a afternoon!
