- Children aged 7-18 are entitled to a reduced entry fee (see tour and ticket pricing) and must provide proof of age.
- Children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
- A dress code is required to enter places of worship and selected museums. No shorts or sleeveless tops allowed. Knees and shoulders MUST be covered for both men and women. You may risk refused entry if you fail to comply with these dress requirements.
- Check-in is 15 minutes prior to the booked start time. Tickets are time sensitive and we cannot accomodate late arrivals.
- Important: St. Peter's Basilica is not included in all tour options. If you wish to visit the Basilica as part of your experience, please ensure you select a tour where it is explicitly listed as included.
- Guests with a certified disability of over 75% are entitled to free entrance to the Vatican and do not require a ticket. For guests who are not self-sufficient, free entry is extended to a companion.
- Please include all names as they appear on your passports when booking. Tickets are non-transferable and if the names on your booking do not match your ID you may be denied access and will not be due a refund. Any name changes must be communicated at least 72 hours in advance.
- Please bring official ID with you (or a photo/photocopy).
- Important: The ‘Basilica Only’ option it does NOT include access to the Vatican Museums.
- Important: From January 12 to March 31, 2026, conservation work will be carried out on Michelangelo’s Last Judgment (Giudizio Universale). The Sistine Chapel will remain open to visitors; however, the fresco will be temporarily not visible due to scaffolding. We thank you for your understanding during this important preservation project.

Lots of crowds require a little aggressive maneuvering with the crowds and it can be difficult to stay with group but worth the effort! Dora, the non-explorer was the best guide!

The locations are incredible. The tour guide was only ok. His voice was hard to understand and he was clearly upset with the crowds at the museum. I also hope that he had more meaningful stories with all the amazing history there

This was a great option because we could not get tickets on our own to the Vatican. Unfortunately, I did not enjoy the experience as much. I do feel that when you do a tour, you are hearing the perspective of the tour guide and not necessarily something you would agree with. In this case, the person who did the tour was seemingly very catholic, and even though we are in a very catholic establishment, the additional negative opinions of other religions/theology were just not needed and kind of seemed to be done in bit poor taste .

The guide had vast knowledge about the places and was a good part of the tour. However, the earpieces provided were not great and it kept on coming out multiple times during the tour. But the views and the vibe of the museum and basilica made it worth it.

The tour group handled it very professionally. The meetup point was easy and clear. The guide was informative without being too detailed. The issue is that people should know that touring the Vatican Museum can be a stressful experience with hordes of tourists swarming about you at all times. It is three hours of non stop touring and it can be hot at times. All that said, the museum is miraculous in terms of its scale and depth.

It was very long tour, lots of walking with no breaks or even place to sit, many sculptures, art and more, going from one room to other with many people all around congested, by the time you arrive to St.Peter Basilica you are exhausted, didn’t enjoy the basilica, don’t do all of them in one day, Sistine Chapel and Basilica and if you are interested in art do the museum. Our guide was very good but very fast with Italian accent.

We were late getting to the meeting point but caught up with our guide who was great. The tour was really interesting and the guide very knowledgeable. The earpieces used are not so good - they would not stay on so I had to walk around with my hand on my ear. Other than that it was very good and highly recommended.

The experience itself was great and worth the money. Once you go into the Vatican I’d recommend headed straight to the Sistine Chapel. The queue for it is such that you have to walk through the entire museum anyway which takes a while. Make sure to triple check what you book, though. My event ticket on the Viator app said that St. Peter’s Bascilica was included in the experience, but the physical ticket I printed out as a backup said it was not included, and it ended up not being included. Had I known that at time of booking, I would have selected a tour that included that. It feels intentionally misleading.

We would like to clarify that you booked the Hosted Tickets option, without a guided tour. This option does not include direct access to St. Peter’s Basilica, as the direct passage from the Vatican Museums to the Basilica is permitted only for authorized guided groups accompanied by their guide.
The title displayed online is a general title covering different Vatican options, while the specific inclusions depend on the option selected during the booking process. The Hosted Tickets option clearly specifies that Basilica access is not included.
However, St. Peter’s Basilica can still be visited independently and free of charge from St. Peter’s Square, by joining the general admission line and passing through the mandatory security check.
