The Best Excursion

This was one of my favorite experiences on our whole trip! We booked it because we had a day where we had nothing to do, so we didn’t have many expectations from it, but it ended up being one of our favorite excursions! And the meal was SO tasty. There was also a little problem with Viator overcharging me, and the staff were absolutely wonderful about helping me get my money back appropriately. Everyone was so kind and professional. We’ll be booking again the next time we’re in Venice!!

1. Take the tour with Mr. G. He's is an excellent storyteller. He is funny and inna very short time (only 2 hours) helps you understand and appreciate the history of Venice. 2. While this is an effective and efficient tour, there is a lot of uneven surfaces and steps (over 70 up and same number down). This worked for us but Incan imagine people this would be a deal breaker. 3. The reason you want a tour guide for this tour is that St. Marks cathedral can be crowded and if we didn't have a guide we would not have been able to navigate it.

Great Way To Guarantee You See The Art

Thorough and highly professional tour. Our guide was great and patient with getting us through the crowds. This is a must if you don’t want to spend hours waiting in a line. We had plenty of time to see David and as the tour ended there we could stay as long as we wished.. Only advice to people who might need any type of walking assistance, this tour is not for you. Unfortunately for both the people who were “challenged” and those on the tour who wanted to see as much as possible, there was lots of waiting for people to catch-up. But our guide diplomatically handled the situation with empathy and diplomacy. The tour company needs to be firmer in its policies regarding this.

Awesome value! Great experience with a great tour guide!

This was a full afternoon experience.Sylvia our guide did a first rate job of telling us about the history of Venice, the Lagoon, Murano and Burano and even the vegetable growing island on our way back across the lagoon. Very educational especially for our first visit to Venice! We watched a display of glass blowing techniques in Murano and had time to view the showroom and other stores locally before heading to Burano where we watched a lace making master demonstration. Two beautiful little islands with lots of opportunity to admire the views and shop in a variety of vendor stores.

Outstanding

The experience was outstanding. Even though the weather was not the best, with rain and cold temperatures, especially for us being Floridians from Miami, we truly enjoyed it. Amazing tour & even better tour guide!!

This was such a nice and informative tour! Our guide Filippo was amazing and absolutely hilarious. We did very minimal waiting (except the line for the bathrooms! Make sure you go before the tour! We waited in line for almost 30 minutes!) beautiful basilica but Doge’s Palace is the main attraction here!

Perfect way to see Venice!

We had such an amazing time on our Venice food tour with Martina! She was so friendly, knowledgeable, and made the entire experience so much fun. Every single thing we ate was absolutely delicious, especially the meats and cheeses — some of the best we’ve ever had. And of course, the wine selections were incredible as well! The highlight for us though was definitely the gelato. It was so good that we kept going back even after the tour ended! This was such a fun and memorable way to experience Venice, and we would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting.

Great visit to the 2 islands

Alessia was great and gave a lot of information on the boat rides to the islands. I would suggest if there was more time on burano and less in the murano glass gallery after the demo, I would have loved more time in burano. The burano biscuits as Alessia recommended were amazing. Wonderful tour!

Marco made Venice unforgettable! We did the Tour Guy’s afternoon experience covering St. Mark’s Basilica and the Doge’s Palace and Marco was the perfect guide. He had an incredible balance of humor and history that kept us engaged throughout — his jokes were genuinely funny, his knowledge was deep, and hearing Venice’s stories through the eyes of a true local made all the difference. You could tell he genuinely loves this city. The skip-the-line access alone is worth every penny, but Marco is the real reason this tour is a must-do. One of the best experiences of our entire trip!

Very comprehensive tour!

This was a very comprehensive tour of the Doge's Palace and St. Mark's Basilica. Our tour guide Natalia had so much information about the history of Venice and the palace/Basilica and we enjoyed all the details she gave about the art in the palace. We definitely got in ahead of many crowds, so that alone was with the ticket price. We also got admission to the Correr Museum, which was really fascinating and had great art/history about Venice. For a two hour tour, we did so much!
