Two great villas in one trip!

The guide and the tour was excellent. You go to Villa Adriana (Emperor Hadrian’s country residence) and Villa d'Este. Both are fantastic. You could spend a day or more at each place so the tour did a good job of hitting the high points. There is quite a bit of walking on uneven ground and stairs throughout the day and a few people were struggling so be aware. Lunch was okay and not as bad as some people are saying but there are plenty of places to go on your own if you'd like. I would definitely recommend this tour.

We had a wonderful day with Flavio! He is a young, energetic guide with an infectious enthusiasm and a genuine passion for what he does. He was incredibly informative, kind, and funny, making the entire experience enjoyable from beginning to end. The three-course meal and wine tasting were exactly as advertised, and the experience exceeded our expectations. The owners welcomed us with such warmth and hospitality that we felt like we were visiting family rather than strangers. They were incredibly generous, and whenever we asked for extra wine or food, they happily provided it with a smile. Between Flavio’s fantastic personality, the beautiful Tuscan experience, the delicious food, and the generous hospitality, we had an unforgettable day! Our tour of the Colosseum along with the Roman Forum and Palatine Hill was fantastic! By far Georgia is the best tour guide we have ever experienced. The history and details she provided made the tour ‘make sense’. She is so knowledgable and her delivery of information was very engaging. She had a great sense of humour as well. We highly recommend this Viator tour, and Georgia!

We left the tour in...

We left the tour in Positano and rode the ferry to Naples and the train back to Rome. We got to spend much more time on the coast doing this. The tour keeps you in a bus 80%of the time, so you don’t really get a chance to explore or eat in the towns. I would suggest just taking the train to Naples and the ferry to the coast. A beautiful boat ride and you have much more time to enjoy the towns.

Best tour ever.. Ask for Deny

First things first, everything that Rome has to offer is beautiful and carries so much historical significance. Walking through the Vatican Museum, the Sistine Chapel, and St. Peter’s was beyond enriching. But beyond that, Deny from Maya Tours was the best guide I ever could have hoped for.. probably the best tour guide I’ve ever had. She had so much information in her head and she was so engaging. She brought personality and personal insight to the tour which gave it that much more depth. 10 / 10 for the sights.. 15/10 because of Deny.

A fantastic day experience

Take good walking shoes and be prepared, even the geologist tour is not for you if you have knee issues, it was quite the climb! However, we had an amazing day. Our tour guide Chiara was full of interesting facts and presented it all with a smile on her face from 7.30am to 7.30pm. Our driver was excellent, great skills up on Vesuvius. Our geologist, Davide was interesting and knowledgeable, as was our tour guide for Pompeii, Willie, who was a real character! Food was plentiful and tasty for the lunch. I think it was a great value day trip.

Lovely tour of Palatine and the Colosseum

We had a marvelous time. We had a late start and they waited for us which was wonderful as we booked with them last minute as another company cancelled on us. Our tour guide, Daisuke (unsure of the spelling), was quite charming and knowledgeable. His pacing was excellent and answered questions very well. You will be lucky if you get assigned with him. If there was any disappointment is that I would have liked to view the Colosseum from the upper level as well as where we saw it but this was minor. He really made me appreciate the Palatine area more than I thought I would!

Such a magnificent place to visit

Absolutely loved this experience, it was an amazing experience! You do have to take ID with you such a as a passport or driving licence and names must match, we was told a photo on your phone of the ID would be accepted but we chose to take our actual IDs just to be safe. I will advise to book online way ahead of your trip, I made the mistake of not doing this thanks to our travel agent and missed the opportunity to go onto the area and lower areas. Plenty of things inside to see aswel and full of information regarding the history of the colosseum and its people. Beautiful place for photos. Shop inside is quite expensive for souvenir's.
