We arrived later in the...

We arrived later in the day and had limited time. We booked the 2.5 hour excursion in May. Seeing these sights at sunset is phenomenal. The one caveat was wishing the 3 hour was available simple to see the Vatican. It’s a 20-30 minute trip across town and we missed that. Regardless, the 2.5 hour tour with Ryan was priceless for our party of 4. Ryan made the trip personally and fun. He even showed us how to get a Roman drink from a water fountain.

Absolutely do this tour! The best tour guide and you saw Rome in a different light. Literally. Our guide was amazing and even tried to get me Gelato but sadly the store was closed. I am coming again in September with 3 family members we are going to do this because it their first time in Rome. I would love the same guide but can’t remember his name

Linda was a great guide! Our day started off getting picked up at our hotel and dropped directly in front of the Vatican Museums where we met Linda. Linda was a fountain of knowledge of the various pieces in the museum, and spent some time explaining the history and significance of the different paintings in the Sistine Chapel which was very interesting. Having her guide us was especially helpful as one of my group had mobility issues, and just knowing the specific areas to go to for elevators or for additional access was super helpful to make sure we made the best use of our time. She also guided us around St. Peter's Basilica and gave us more context to the areas we were looking at. We were also planning to pick up tickets for the Papal Audience and Linda helped us pick these up at the end of the tour, managing to help us get them a little earlier so we wouldn't have to wait around or leave and come back and go through all the security again (though this was not something we expected of her, just a huge plus that it worked out!). It's well worth it to have a personal guide as the Vatican Museums and St. Peter's Basilica can be pretty overwhelming even if you've been there before. In the more crowded areas of the museum, it was a little hard to hear her, but after we got to the Basilica and got the audio equipment pieces, it became much easier. Even with a small group, it might be good to have these even in the museums for ample ability to hear. All in all, a great experience.

The high speed train ride...

The high speed train ride is definitely the way to go. The tour is wonderful. Learning about the lives of the residents gives perspective to the event. The wine tasting lunch was more than imagined. The venue was beautiful and staff equal to the environment in kindness and service.

Great tour guide made a great experience even better.

Sadly I forgot the gentleman’s name , but our tour guide was super cool and super knowledgeable. He said he’d been doing tours for 12 years or so. Out of all the guided tours we took in Italy , this was my favorite , and it was probably because the guide was so good. He had curly blonde hair annd a pony tail and was maybe in his mid 40s. I just want him to get the credit he deserves. 5/5 would recommend.

Fabulous tour with an amazing guide.

This was amazing. Getting the arena floor option is a must and the small group size was perfect. Our tour guide Paula was absolutely brilliant. Paula is Roman native and anthropologist and brought insightful information and history. She was dedicated and provided valuable information in this jam-packed 3 hour tour. The time flew by.

A smooth fascinating way to discover the Vatican

Highly recommend this tour. Our guide Cynthia was very knowledgeable, passionate, and a pro at navigating the crowds and keeping our group together. She took us through the highlights but also gave us space to ask questions. While we waited a little while for the museum to open, time she used yo explain the sistine chapel ceiling, we got into St. peter’s with no wait!!! I can’t imagine trying to do this tour on our own.

Stefano is a Boss - Excellent Golf Cart Tour with a Happy Ending!

If you are searching Viator for things to do in Rome, you need to do a Golf Cart Tour. You need to choose THIS Golf cart tour because of the driver Stefano. Here's five reasons why. 1. You get to see all the big sites for drive by. Yes, even Trevi Trevi Fountain and the Colosseum where is can be quite crowded. He'll help you with the best times to go back to them on foot. 2. Cool stop by a farmer's market with a stop for gelato, wine or both. We picked up some items from the market too. 3. Spanish Steps. Stefano lets you off at the top, and picks you up on the bottom. Great opportunity for photos. 4. He takes you places you didn't know about, Orange Garden with a city overview; past at least a half dozen churches and as many pizzas, see the less famous Moses fountain. 5. The big finish? The Osteria da Fortunata is a very popular micro-restaurant chain in Italy. They are packed all the time. We pull up out front, hour long wait with the line wrapping around the building, he gets us in the front door through a personal connection. No wait! We were ballin'!

Fantastic Experience!

Fantastic…this experience was excellent!! The driver Claudio did a masterful job of navigating the roads and crowds when we came back into Rome. The van was comfortable but we do recommend providing cords for charging phones because you’re on the road all day. The guide Paulo in Pompeii was amazing and provided so much education and insight. He brought Pompeii to life!! The assistant JB was absolutely phenomenal with his personality and his passion and positive attitude! He made the trip fun, and all of the staff created an exceptional experience! We Loved everything!! Definitely an amazing day!

Absolutely amazing. Was well worth it.

Roberto was fantastic. We had such an amazing day. Roberto picked us up and drove us out to mazzano Romano where we stopped at the local shops. We even had samples of meats at the butchers where all the meat came from their farm. The cooking location was amazing and Roberto was such an amazing teacher and chef. We can’t thank him enough for such an amazing day. Can’t wait to come back and do it again.
