A fun, personally tailored tour in Lisbon.

Our tour guide, Jimena, kept us informed about the meeting point and went out of her way to pick us up at the cruise port terminal. She repeatedly communicated her arrival status. Once we were together, she told us what the tour plan was then adjusted the plan to suit our needs and interests. This included changing ticket times which I did not expect to be possible. It was a very pleasant, stress free experience dynamically tailored to our interests by a very knowledgeable, capable, and fun tour guide. My wife and I would definitely repeat this experience, especially if we could get Jimena as our guide.

Delightful day

Wonderful full day. Amazing sites like Quinta da Regalaira with its impressive well and grotto in Sintra and the Pena Palace, finishing with an afternoon along the ocean. A lot of walking and some of it is fairly steep, but worth the effort once you’ve arrived at your eye-candy destination. Kudos to our personable and knowledge guide Ivo and his faithful sidekick, driver Ivan! Not something to do on your own. Tour is pretty much a must and a good value.

This trip was exactly...

This trip was exactly what we were looking for— round trip from Lisbon to Obidos, Nazare and Porto back to Lisbon. Not all the trips we saw brought you back to Lisbon. Our guide, Joaol, aka “Johnny” was a wealth of information. He gave us a lot of information about the history of Portugal and provided information about each site we stopped at. We were able to spend some time on our own at each stop to explore and/or shop. Bring euros because not all the shops or restaurants take credit cards. We opted for the upgrade with lunch. Joaol took us to a nice restaurant where we had authentic Portuguese food that was delicious and plentiful. Alex, our bus driver, was great. He got us to each destination safely. (NOt always an easy feat, as some of streets were not built for a big tour bus.) The bus was air conditioned and very comfortable and smooth. It has free WiFi and plugs to recharge our phones.

We had an exceptional experience with Meridian4People's services and with our guide/driver Leo Gonçalves! Leo was excellent, from the pickup at our hotel in Lisbon to the final destination at our hotel in Porto! We made 4 stops on the way, in Óbidos, Nazaré, Fátima Sanctuary, Aveiro, and Leo gave us 2 additional surprises that we loved, stopping at the house where the three little shepherds lived and in Costa Nova. Leo was kind, brought a lot of information about the itineraries in the right measure. We recommend the company and especially Leo for all his attention, knowledge about the itineraries, ease of communication, and excellent direction. It was particularly wonderful to experience how the climate suddenly changed at Pena Palace, the harmony of history and nature, and the colorful architecture of Portugal.

Our tour with Nuno was...

Our tour with Nuno was great!! He is knowledgeable, very friendly & personable! When we mentioned that we were driving to Porto, he even gave us some restaurant tips along the way, as well as some recommendations in Lisbon! The Pena Palace was beautiful & we got there before the crowds. Nuno recommended skipping the inside of the palace since only 4-5 rooms inside are open to the public and the wait time to get inside is very long. He dropped us off in the town of Sintra, recommended a pastry shop & told us to take some time shopping. We didn’t feel rushed at all!
