Beautiful afternoon

This was a wonderful tour of several beautiful areas around Sintra. I loved the Don Quixote windmill restaurant. It had a delicious menu and a great view of the ocean. The wine tasting was also fun. We learned about some special farming techniques for the wine as well as great conversation with the wine maker. Mafalda was a great guide and knows where all the good spots are along the coast. I would highly recommend!

My favourite part of the trip to Portugal

The tour is a bit under 40 km. It takes about 5 hours. There will be a break at an interpretative center and another one for lunch. There is a range of terrain: smooth asphalt, stone, sand and dirt. The views are outstanding. Our guide, Juliano, was very easy-going, STRONG, and knowledgeable. Note: This ebike tour will be very challenging for those who rarely ride. One should try out an ebike a few times on flat terrain before attempting. Also, if participating with children, instruction in cycling edicate is recommended: keep at least 2 bike lengths away, pick a spot in line and stay there, keep to the RIGHT, pull over if you plan on stopping, park your bike such that it can't fall over, and remember, this is not a mountain biking course.

So great we booked again second day on the spot!

Such a great tour, we booked again for the next day! Everything was unbelievably perfect. The logistics were superb-easy pickup at our hotel, great communication, perfect van. All the details were handled. Our guide, Marta, had coordinated beforehand and made lunch reservations and had everything handled. But, hands down, the highlight was our guide herself, Marta! She was an absolute joy-friendly, knowledgeable, perfect English, and just an overall great person. I’d say we all became friends after our two days together. (And we really did book her for a trip to Fatima the next day on the spot. We had such a great time with her, we were ecstatic to spend the next day as well!) Can’t recommend this tour enough! It was perfect!!

Private tour - Fabulous way to explore Porto.

Because of a dock workers strike our scheduled stop in Porto on our cruise was canceled. Unlike others on our cruise, we had a lot of time in Lisbon (using it as our home base) to explore outside Lisboa. With a few adjustments and searches online I decided to add a full day private tour from Lisbon to Porto. We wanted to enjoy quality time in Porto, not just a quick stop. We are so glad that we found Duca. What a top notch way to travel. Our assigned driver, Filipe was full of knowledge and pride for Portugal and of course Porto. We learned so much about Porto, way beyond its association with Port wine. We were together for 14 hours and saw much of Porto and Gaia, as we learned the roles each of those cities play in Port production. We ate a traditional lunch in one of Filipe’s favorite traditional restaurants. And we walked and walked. It was so thorough and enjoyable. Thank you!
